Hi I'm Gerry from Gerry's Craft Room In this video I'm going make a simple mixed
media card I am going to start with nuvo aqua flow pens
from just one set and I spray some water drops
and I wanted to colour the drops but they were not very visible
so I changed my plan and I'm going to spray some more water
By the way I added the products I used in the description box for you
and if you are new here don't forget to subscribe
I just dip in the pen and let the ink spread by itself
this is really fun to watch how the ink reacts and where the ink goes
now I put a piece of plastic wrap on the card and press on it
to move all the colour in all directions
and then I take of the plastic wrap and blot
with kitchen paper
I squeeze some colour out of the pen and make
splats with the brush
and then I spray some drops by squeezing the
sprayer halfway this activates the drops and then I use the
heat tool to dry
the ink reacts to water so you get some gorgeous
texture this way and fun layers at the same time
my page is all dry and now I will add some painters tape
the less sticky kind you can put it on your clothes to make it
even less sticky like I do here
I just rip some pieces and add them to the card
and now I apply the expanding mousse a nice thick layer to get some really cool texture
and then take of the tape and you get some fun grungy lines
I added more tape and more mousse
and then the expanding with the heat tool so cool to watch
Some more splats with the green pen
I colour a piece of water colour card for the sentiment
I cut the sentiment twice and glue it together
to get a white mat so it stands out more
I cut some planks with the tim holtz die and colour them with the pink pen
I end up just using one of them
it's a bit big so I cut it to size
and I put them back together with a heart I cut with the hearfelt die
I love making elements like this it's fun
some foam tape on the back to go in between the mousse
and I am going to finish with the hearts and some pre made drops
I taped the complete card to a white notecard
this makes the colours pop even more
I hope you liked the video don't forget
