Weasels Rip my Flesh: Review - Duration: 6:58.
Welcome back to my Dark Corner of this Sick World.
'That bastard.'
As much as we can, in our reviews, we like to take budget out of the equation –
it doesn't matter how crappy things look.
Although I suppose you've got to draw the line somewhere.
And maybe using a table lamp to double as a rocket's afterburner…
is where that line must be drawn.
'Aww, shit'
This is Weasels Rip My Flesh, which opens with a pointless narration.
'Some people wish they were never born, others kill other s out f hatred or madness.'
and a murder I didn't understand.
Which is why I've jumped straight to the rocket gathering samples of goo from Venus.
But returning to earth, the rocket crashes…
spilling its payload.
Which is discovered by two boys.
'What the hell is this?'
Who treat it with the care it deserves.
One of the boys is bitten by an animal.
'Something just bit me in the leg'
and they take a perfectly logical vengeance…
Creating a weasel monster.
I guess - that swiftly kills.
Reducing the boy to a skull with a wig on it…
before losing its arm in a car accident.
The man in the car, naturally, takes the arm back home.
'You've got an arm in the kitchen?'
Where it comes to life and attacks again…
leading to rabies…
limb severing…
and a callous disregard for lawn furniture.
So far, no lead character, in fact there's not even been anyone cool enough to be hero.
But wait…
Smoking and shaving at the same time? How cool is that?
Cop Cameron is obviously the hero.
He his partner Anderson race to the scene of the crime.
'So what are we looking for?'
'Don't really know'
Well they only just got here.
'What I do know is that this is the scene of about 15 murders'
and some might say you should checked it out around murder number ten.
'Look, I can only move so fast'
But as the cops look around they are accosted.
'Who the hell are you?'
'Jesus'
There's a bleak outlook for Christianity.
'This is no joke.'
The man takes the cops into his Underground lab.
'There's a hatch. Are going underground?'
and immediately I have questions.
'Just go up them stairs'
Now he reveals the astounding truth.
Is everyone else seeing a rat?
'After that minor experience I think you gentlemen would appreciate a stiff drink'
Well I can't disagree with minor experience.
'Where in hell did that creature come from?'
Local pet shop?
'Weasel?'
It's not a weasel, it's a rat.
'It's a species of the rodent family'
A rat is. A weasel is a species of the mustelid family, not that it matters, cos it's a rat.
But putting that to one side and pretending this is a giant weasel mutated by goop from venus,
why have you got it?
'With what I've discovered I can either destroy the world or cure every disease and uncover the secrets of immortality'
Yeah those two things seem connected.
'Seems though everything is perfect'
To complete his experiments our scientist must use blood from an unconscious woman we've never seen before and never will again…
mixing it with blood from the giant weasel, which now looks very different…
and injecting into Anderson.
But as Weasel man goes on the rampage, the weasel itself escapes…
maiming the mad scientist and attacking Cameron.
Who is saved by Weasel man.
The scientist meanwhile, showing admirable disregard for his missing arm, tries to escape…
'A man like you have to realise your limitations.'
but…
After watching Weasels Rip My Flesh I did some online research,
because I was 100% sure this was a hoax.
'This is all pretty hard to believe'
made like a year ago for Youtube to con viewers into thinking this was a real film that people actually made
'You can't believe I'm making this up'
So far nothing.
'It's too crazy to me'
I'm still not convinced.
'I believe you've had enough gentlemen'

Create an Animated Loop from a Photograph - After Effects Tutorial - Duration: 8:23.
Hey, what's up everyone. My name is Thomas Weakley.
I am a graphic designer and a whitewater kayaking enthusiast.
And today I'm going to show you how to create an animated loop from a photograph.
You can apply this to your own photo.
Y'know, hit a lil' selfie of you in front of a waterfall just drinkin' on a vegan protein shake.
Or you can follow the first link in the description, to download the photo I'm working with here and follow step by step.
There's only one prerequisite for following this tutorial
and that's a little bit of experience drawing paths with the pen tool.
Aside from that I think this is a great tutorial for people who are just getting into After Effects
Because it's going to introduce you to all kinds of tools and tactics.
The most exciting thing about this tutorial is that you can use this animation technique on all kinds of stuff.
It's not just for waterfalls or water.
You can make a snake's scales look like they're crawling.
Or clouds look like they're moving across the sky.
So follow the tutorial, learn the technique and go out and do something creative of your own with it.
I can't wait to see what y'all come up with!
So, enough talking. Let's get started!
Drag the photo into the project panel.
Then drag that photo down to the composition icon at the bottom of the panel
to create a new composition based on the dimensions of that photo.
Go to composition and composition settings
and I suggest using 30 or 24 frames per second for this.
I'm going to use 24 frames per second and I'm going to make my composition a little bit longer.
Let's bring it up to about five seconds.
Now the first thing I want to do is remove the kayaker from the waterfall.
So that way we have a solid-water background to make it look like it's flowing behind the kayaker.
To do this we're going to use the clone stamp tool.
So let's copy our layer and name it "background."
To use the clone stamp tool we need to isolate this layer.
And to do that we're going to go into our timeline and double-click the layer.
To bring up the clone stamp tool you're going to hit command+B on the keyboard or click the little stamp icon in the tools palette.
Next we're going to open the brush panel and select a soft, round the brush.
You can adjust the size of the brush by command-clicking and dragging.
And now we'll alt-click to sample areas of the waterfall and brush them over the kayaker.
The little crosshair you see when you're brushing indicates the area of the photograph you've sampled.
Now that we brushed out the kayaker I'm going to go to the top of the viewer and click back into our composition.
Ok, next step is to isolate the kayaker.
So let's take the original photo layer and rename it "kayaker."
Next I'm going to select the pen tool and draw an outline around the kayaker.
And this outline will be out mask.
Let's change the color of this mask so we can see the path we're drawing.
Now I want to soften this mask to make it look a little more natural.
So I'm going to go into my layer, hit the little arrow to show the mask options
and set the feathering to 10 pixels.
I'm also going to bring the mask expansion to negative 3 pixels.
Now I'm going to draw another mask to take care of this area under the arm.
And we're going to set this mask to subtract.
Let's go ahead and adjust the feathering.
And the mask expansion.
Let's try 4 pixels for the mask expansion.
Okay, now we're ready to start animating!
I'm going to copy the background layer and name it "waterfall."
Then I'm going to hit "Y" on the keyboard to select the pan-behind tool.
I'm going to use the pan-behind tool to click and drag the anchor point to the top of the layer.
So that it'll scale from the top giving us a natural flow effect.
I'm going to make sure that my play head is at the beginning of the timeline, select the waterfall layer,
hit "S" on the keyboard to bring up the "scale" property.
Then I'm going to click the stopwatch to set my keyframe for scale.
Now I'm going to choose one second for what will be the basis of our loop.
So let's bring our work area down to one second.
Now I'm going to bring the play head out to one second and scale the waterfall layer vertically and a little bit horizontally
So it looks like its flowing.
Let's unconstrained the proportions for scale.
And I'm going to do 107 horizontally and 176 vertical.
Okay, let's preview this.
Next, with our waterfall layer selected I'm going to hit "T" on the keyboard to bring up opacity
I'm going to click the stopwatch to set a keyframe for opacity.
Let's bring the playhead to one second.
And fade that opacity to 15%.
Again, I'm setting the keyframes at one second because one second is the basis for our loop.
Let's turn our background layer on and have another look.
Okay, this looks good but the water is just flowing off the bottom of the image which isn't right.
So let's copy our background layer and drag it to the top
and name this one "outflow".
So grab your pen tool and start masking.
Now that we've got that masked lets copy this layer.
Drag it below "outflow" and name it "outflow base."
This layer will provide a background for the animated "outflow" layer.
Now I'm going to feather the masks on both the "outflow" and the "outflow base" layer
And then we'll repeat our steps to animate the "outflow" layer.
We're going to set the anchor point.
We're going to set this one a little bit off-center to make the flow look realistic.
Animate the scale.
I'm going to bring the scale out to 200, and 178.
And then we'll do the opacity.
And I'm going to bring the opacity to 0%.
Remember we're doing all of this at 1 second.
Now it's time to create our loop.
So let's make sure our layers are all trimmed down to one second.
Now I'm going to set a marker in the middle of my "waterfall" layer
using keyboard shortcut Control+8.
That's going to be 12 frames in, in a 24fps composition.
And we're going to use this marker to stack the layers in a stair-step formation,
with each layer starting at the marker in the middle of next
So let's copy and paste our "waterfall" layer 4 times.
And create this stair-step formation.
Now let's take our "outflow" layer and give it the sam stair-step formation.
And next we want to select all of our layers except for "outflow base" and "kayaker"
and move them so that they start and end at the same place where three layers from each group overlap.
And this creates our loop!
Now as a bonus I'm going to show you how to loop your loop
so you can have this play for a longer period of time
and go in to After Effects and add some additional animated titles, motion, or whatever.
Let's select everything and precompose.
Now go into your precomp. Select Compositon > Settings.
And set the composition to 1 second.
Go back into your original comp, and right-click to enable time remapping.
Now, alt-click the stopwatch for time remapping
and add a LoopOut expression.
Now it's looping but we have a blip.
So let's put our playhead right before the last keyframe under time remapping
and click to create a new keyframe.
And then drag that one over to replace the last keyframe.
That's it. You're done.
Now you can go do this to all your Instagram photos and become famous.
Go get you some butt implants and just become a straight-up influencer.

Are Panthers, Patriots good fits for Colin Kaepernick? Is another NFL team? - Duration: 9:46.
CLOSE Colin Kaepernick, Eric Reid and the NFL agreed to settle on Friday, but the case won't truly be resolved until Kaepernick is back on the field
USA TODAY Sports CONNECT11TWEET11LinkedIn11COMMENT11EMAIL11MORE11With a collusion grievance against the league now settled, is an NFL return imminent for Colin Kaepernick? The former 49ers quarterback's attorney, Mark Geragos, told CNN's Ana Cabrera recently that he believed Carolina and New England were among three teams he believed might be in the market to sign his client "within the next two weeks
" (Geragos made only a vague reference to a third potential suitor.)"(T)he natural would be if Cam Newton is out, then the natural place to be is to play with Eric (Reid) in Carolina
I mean can you imagine? And you've got an owner there," Geragos explained, a reference to David Tepper, the Panthers' progressive new boss who greenlit the signing and subsequent extension of Reid, the safety who played with Kaepernick in San Francisco and also settled his own collusion grievance against the NFL
Would Colin Kaepernick (7) be well suited as Cam Newton's backup in Carolina? (Photo11: Kevin C
Cox, Getty Images)"I will tell you besides the Panthers, it would not surprise me if (Patriots owner) Bob Kraft makes a move
"Geragos added of Kaepernick, 31: "He absolutely wants to play. He wants to compete at the highest level
I mean this is a competitive young man. . This is someone who's in his prime. You get smarter at that position, and he's wise beyond his years
"But would the Panthers or Patriots be "wise" landing spots for Kaepernick if either team comes calling? Let's examine
Jarrett Bell: Colin Kaepernick's NFL career has made history, in more ways than oneNancy Armour: Colin Kaepernick proves to be a winner again with settlement with NFLDoes Kaepernick fit in Carolina?Definitively, yes
Kap's game pretty closely mirrors that of Newton, the Panthers' starter for eight years — plus arm strength, extends plays, great athleticism on the move, capably limits turnovers
but also not especially accurate, particularly on touch throws.Kaepernick (6-4, 230) isn't as sturdily built as the 6-5, 245-pound Newton — it's probably safe to assume he's lighter than his listed playing weight while Newton appears even heavier
But Kap also doesn't invite the kind of punishment as the 2015 league MVP, who just underwent shoulder surgery, when he tucks the ball and runs or tries to barrel over the line on sneaks
Like Seattle's Russell Wilson, Kaepernick excels at gaining maximum yardage with his legs while knowing when to get down or out of bounds
Bottom line: The skill sets are similar enough that Carolina probably wouldn't experience much drop-off (or have to drastically redesign the offense or alter play calling) if Kaepernick were to replace Newton
And to suggest Taylor Heinicke or Kyle Allen are better options is simply silly.Does Kaepernick fit in New England?Meh
Maybe.Let's not discount that he could bring a new dimension to this attack — perhaps even running point on certain packages the way Taysom Hill does in New Orleans
And if anyone knows how to leverage a given player's talents — and Kaepernick presumably still has plenty of it — it's Bill Belichick
But in that same vein, it never seems like a particularly good idea when the Saints effectively take the ball out of Drew Brees' hands
And though no one would suggest that Tom Brady's current backup, veteran Brian Hoyer, has Kaepernick's upside, he's also infinitely more familiar with the playbook and wouldn't require New England to reconfigure its attack on the fly if Brady went down
Accuracy and efficiently cycling through his progressions are Brady's bread and butter, yet have never been Kaepernick's strengths
Maybe he could get there under the tutelage of Belichick and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, but this could also be a square peg, round hole situation
Does Kaepernick fit in .There are other patently obvious teams that could immediately benefit from Kap's services
Baltimore Ravens: Joe Flacco's moving to Denver, and Robert Griffin III is unsigned
The franchise has flirted with Kaepernick in the past, and he'd seem to plug in nicely to what's being built around Lamar Jackson
Houston Texans: Deceased owner Bob McNair probably would not have signed off, but they could obviously do much better than Brandon Weeden, Joe Webb et
al. — reference the lost 2017 season — if Deshaun Watson goes down again.Jacksonville Jaguars: No explanation required
Miami Dolphins: They're rebooting, and Ryan Tannehill's future with the franchise seems tenuous at best
New Orleans Saints: Teddy Bridgewater is headed for free agency, and Kaepernick is almost surely a better option behind Brees (and how much time does he have left?) on a regular basis than Hill
Oakland Raiders: A little competition for Derek Carr wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, and it would be interesting to see what Jon Gruden's offense would look like with a player like Kaepernick at the controls
Philadelphia Eagles: Perhaps the ideal locker room fit, and a roster that's about to need a new Plan B behind oft-injured Carson Wentz
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jameis Winston is the only experienced quarterback they have under contract for 2019, and he's not signed for 2020
Be nice to have a capable reserve if new coach Bruce Arians ultimately concludes Winston is not the answer he's banking on
Tennessee Titans: Marcus Mariota always seems to be banged up. And we saw what happened in Week 17 with their playoff aspirations riding on Blaine Gabbert
Washington Redskins: The need is obvious given Alex Smith's uncertain outlook. Of course, that was also painfully apparent in the final two months of 2018
when Washington threw away its playoff hopes by employing much less capable backups

Sport TV - What the future holds for Marcus Edwards, Roles, Amos & other Spurs starlets - Duration: 8:56.
Mauricio Pochettino has carved out a richly-deserved reputation for developing young stars but there are some at Tottenham Hotspur who seem to have drifted back out of the spotlight
The list of young players the Argentine has turned into internationals is a long one, but for every Harry Kane, Harry Winks or Luke Shaw, there is a academy product who hasn't quite been able to match Pochettino's demands for one reason or another
For some there is still hope while for others their time at the north London club could be edging towards its conclusion
Here are just some of those players who have drifted out of Pochettino's thoughts and our Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold's view on their future at the club
Marcus Edwards There's only one place to start really. This season will have been a great experience for Marcus Edwards and getting him away to a technical league to develop was a good move by those around him
He's done well on the whole in the Eredivisie, particularly since the turn of the year with some fantastic displays, and it will have taught him plenty about first team football and its demands
When he returns to Spurs this summer - there is no option for a permanent deal to join Excelsior Rotterdam - he will have one year left on his deal
He and the club will have to sit down and make a decision about what comes next
If he returns and dazzles in training then Pochettino will have no choice but to take a look at him again and perhaps take him on the pre-season tour to Asia
If he comes back with the mindset that he wants to continue playing regularly elsewhere then the club will make that happen and it could be on a permanent deal, because of that contract length, with a sell-on clause
Jack Roles This one surprises me. There doesn't seem to be any progress with Jack Roles unfortunately, with four months to go on his current contract nothing has been agreed with him or seemingly offered, which is surprising, even to simply protect the value of a club asset
Roles is one of the most prolific goalscorers in the academy and he does it from midfield
I'm impressed almost every time I watch him play for the U23s. For whatever reason, he doesn't seem to have caught the eye of Pochettino though
He turns 20 this month and is coming to a point in his career when a loan move could do him wonders
However, if he leaves the club this summer permanently it'll be someone else's gain eventually
Tashan Oakley-Boothe The teenager became the first millennial to play for Tottenham Hotspur when he appeared against Barnsley in the Carabao Cup last season after impressing in the pre-season tour to the USA
Oakley-Boothe has had a few injury problems in the last year or so which have hampered his development a little bit, but Pochettino and the first team coaches are keeping an eye on him still
I watched him on Friday night in the U23s' defeat to Arsenal and he was one of Spurs' better players on the pitch
He's still young - he turned 19 on Valentine's Day - and with a deal that doesn't expire until 2021 time is on his side
Luke Amos It was the worst timing possible. Luke Amos had starred on the US pre-season tour, made his Premier League debut in the opening game of the season at Newcastle and was working with the first team consistently
Then in a Premier League 2 game with the U23s in late September he ruptured an anterior cruciate ligament and he won't be back now until next season
I saw him training in the gym at the club last week alongside Dele Alli. It's such a shame for the young midfielder as with all the injuries this season he would have got plenty of first team minutes under his belt
Hopefully Pochettino will keep him in his thoughts for the next campaign and like Oakley-Boothe he has a deal that last until 2021
Josh Onomah He was a bright midfield hope under Pochettino but the Spurs boss never seemed willing to play him in his more natural central midfield position
He has since been on loan at Aston Villa last season and now Sheffield Wednesday but it has been a couple of months to forget for Josh Onomah
Pochettino told football.london last month that he was considering recalling the injured Onomah from his Sheffield Wednesday loan
In the end the decision was made to keep him at the Championship club, particularly with the arrival of Steve Bruce, who helped develop the 21-year-old at Aston Villa
However, after Onomah made his return to action from an injury which has kept him out for around a month from the bench with 25 minutes to go in the 1-0 win at Ipswich Town earlier this month, he picked up another injury which is set to keep him out for four weeks
It would take a stunning last few months of the season to grab Pochettino's attention again and you feel that Onomah - who has a contract until 2021 - will either be loaned out again to up his value or sold on
Cameron Carter-Vickers The 21-year-old has been progressing well in the last 18 months away from Tottenham, getting plenty of games under his belt in the Championship
After a stuttering start to the season, Carter-Vickers has worked his way into the Swansea team as a regular in the back four
There was talk of the USA international returning during the January window to be sent out somewhere else, as he did last season in moving from Sheffield United to Ipswich, however he now looks settled at Swansea and a full season in Wales could do him the world of good in his development
His future, with two years left on his deal, will depend on what happens with the other defenders at Spurs this summer
Anthony Georgiou The 21-year-old Cyprus international left winger made his debut for Spurs last season in the Champions League at Apoel Nicosia
Georgiou has now had his first taste of senior league football after making the loan switch to Levante on transfer deadline day
He will be part of the club's B team and made his debut for them earlier this month with 26 minutes from the bench against CF Badalona in Segunda Division B
The winger has a year left on his deal at Tottenham and you'd think his chance to break into the first team has gone

Oakland diocese names 45 priests and other church officials accused of sexual abuse Los Angeles Ti
The Catholic Diocese of Oakland has released the names of 45 priests, deacons and religious brothers who officials say are credibly accused of sexually abusing minors.
The said Monday that Oaklands list goes back to 1962 when the diocese was founded. None of the men is currently in the ministry. Of the 45 people named, 20 were priests.
Oakland is the latest in a series of dioceses across the country to release names amid a scandal involving pedophile priests and decades of church coverups.
Most of the listed abuse dates from the 1960s into the 1980s. Oakland diocese officials say there has been no credible accusations of abuse since 1988 but acknowledge that the list may grow in the coming months.
I pray the public acknowledgment of the sinful actions on the part of some priests will help many of us to find healing and hope, to restore our trust in the Church, and to repair the damage caused to the reputation of so many good priests, Oakland Bishop Michael Barber said in a letter.
The majority of those named had been previously identified through court filings or news articles. But five names have not been in the public domain until now, said Stephen Wilcox, chancellor of the Oakland diocese.
Wilcox said the diocese considered it a living list.
This isnt, `Oh, thank God weve got the list out. Were done. This is now part of our process. And we know we have more work to do, he told the newspaper.
Wilcox said he had turned over the list of names and information to the Alameda County district attorney to determine whether prosecutions were warranted. Aside from the fact that many of the accused have died, Wilcox said statutes of limitations might be an issue.
Wilcox said hed spent several weeks reaching out to survivors but hadnt yet spoken to all of them.
Survivors in general were pleased with the step, he said, but still think the church needs to do more.
Some wanted a direct apology from the church, and others said the Diocese of Oakland needed to offer more services to victims.
In October, a law firm suing bishops for records on abuse released its own list of names of alleged abusers, totaling more than 200 clergy in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Jeff Anderson Associates list included more names of clergy than those released by the Diocese of San Jose, and named 95 tied to the Diocese of Oakland more than double the dioceses own list.
Wilcox says the discrepancy lies in the standard used to qualify for a credible allegation.
