Nancy Pelosi Used Four Words She Instantly Realized Could End Her Career

The battle over illegal immigration will define the 2018 midterm elections.

That is bad news for Democrats.

And Nancy Pelosi just used the four words that could kill her party and end her career.

Donald Trump signed an executive order that untied his hands by allowing the government

to detain families together while they await their deportation hearing.

This order ends the separation of families and still fulfills Trump's promise to end

the practice of catch and release.

"Catch and release" – whereby illegal aliens are giving a court date after being

arrested for crossing the border – led to a flood of illegal aliens remaining in America

and abusing our system.

A Center for Immigration Studies report found that over the last twenty years, a full 37

percent of illegal aliens just didn't show up for their court date.

Democrats screamed at the top of their lungs when Trump signed his new executive order

that maintained his zero tolerance enforcement policy and still maintained family unity.

Nancy Pelosi was one of the loudest voices condemning the President.

Pelosi blabbed in a statement that enforcing immigration law was a "form of child abuse."

The Democrats leader in the House wrote:

"The President's Executive Order seeks to replace one form of child abuse with another.

Instead of protecting traumatized children, the President has directed his Attorney General

to pave the way for the long-term incarceration of families in prison-like conditions."

But Republicans would be thrilled to fight the Democrats for the 2018 midterm elections

on whether immigration law should be enforced at all.

Right now, Democrats are expected to gain seats.

The party out of power usually does.

But Trump's proposals to detain families as a unit while maintaining his zero tolerance

policy is politically popular.

An Economist/YouGov poll found that by a nine point margin, Americans favored zero tolerance

enforcement of United States immigration laws.

And of all the options presented to deal with illegal immigrants caught crossing the border,

detaining families while they await their deportation hearing was the most popular with

44 percent.

The catch and release policy – which means complete open borders – favored by Pelosi

and the Democrats received just 19 percent support.

In midterm elections, each party needs to rally its base.

Pelosi calling enforcing immigration law child abuse is a signal to Democrat voters that

their leaders have bought in fully to complete open borders.

That may play well in San Francisco and Manhattan.

But in Middle America, comparing law enforcement officers defending America from illegal immigration

to child abuse is a political death sentence.

And there are already at least 20 Democrats running for the House this fall that have

pledged not to support Pelosi for Speaker.

A new generation of Democrats who don't owe Pelosi or her fundraising prowess anything

is about to take the stage.

Should Democrats fail to win the House this November, liberals will be forced to come

to a reckoning.

It will be comments like Pelosi's that explained why they fell short.

And Democrats could end her career by removing her from leadership.

Trump moved resources away from drug operations to immigration - Duration: 5:02.

The federal government's renewed efforts to crack down on illegal immigration along the southern border means that there will be less resources available to prosecute drug-smuggling cases, it has been claimed

Federal prosecutors in California say that the Department of Justice has seen its caseload skyrocket thanks to the new 'zero tolerance policy' instituted by Attorney General Jeff Sessions

The policy, which states that anyone crossing the border illegally is to face criminal charges, means that the new prosecutions 'will occupy substantially more of our resources,' a Justice Department supervisor in San Diego wrote in an email to border authorities

The email was obtained by USA Today. It said that DOJ was now 'diverting staff, both support and attorneys' toward handling the avalanche of immigration cases

That means there will be less time for prosecutors to fill out reports and referrals against individuals suspected of smuggling drugs into the country

Since the zero tolerance policy was put into effect last month, federal courts in California and Texas have seen the number of immigration cases brought before them more than double

Just this month alone, more than 4,100 migrants who crossed the border from Mexico were charged with minor crimes

A spokeswoman for the U.S.Attorney's Office told USA Today that DOJ 'has given our district the necessary resources – including 10 additional prosecutor positions plus at least five Department of Defense attorneys - to prosecute all of these crimes

' During that same time period, the number of people who have been indicted in federal court on drug-related charges has dropped, according to Reuben Cahn, the chief federal public defender in San Diego

The new policy of bringing criminal charges against migrants has sparked a public outcry over President Donald Trump's policy of separating children from their parents, with lawmakers struggling to get immigration legislation passed

The U.S.military said on Thursday it had been asked by the government to get ready to house up to 20,000 immigrant children

It said the government had already assessed three military bases in Texas and would review another in Arkansas

Trump defended his tough stance on immigrants crossing the U.S.border with Mexico on Saturday, praising his administration for a job well done and saying his approach will make the country stronger

Amid a fierce outcry, Trump reversed himself on Wednesday and signed an executive order to abandon the policy, but the fate of more than 2,300 children already separated from their parents before the order was enacted is unknown

'My people are actually doing a very good job,' Trump said in a speech at the Nevada Republican Party state convention at Suncoast Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas

Trump said that with a 3.8percent jobless rate, the United States needs immigrants for jobs that need to be filled, but he wants them to be legal immigrants

'We need people to come in, but they have to be people that love this country, can love our country and can really help us to make America great again,' he said

Azzurra chiude i - Duration: 6:29.

✅ Ti høyreradikale pågrepet for angrepsplaner i Frankrike - Duration: 1:48.
