USA news on Youtube Jun 29 2018

Today we're taking a look inside the BMW Spartanburg plant in South Carolina, USA. In case you didn't know already, this is where most of BMW's X vehicles are made, except the X1 and X2 which are based on a different architecture and built in Europe or China, depending on the case. Since the world is going bananas for SUVs these days, BMW had to enlarge the production capacity of the Spartanburg plant which is now the largest in the world for the BMW Group, making about 450,000 cars a year.

JUSTICE SERVED!

Text Shows What Really Happened At Trump's 'Treasonous' Russia Meeting – Dems In

Trouble!

Special counsel Robert Mueller is now in the process of examining a previously undisclosed

meeting between a longtime Donald Trump confidant, Roger Stone and an undisclosed Russian figure

who allegedly tried to sell him dirt on Hillary Clinton.

The Washington Post reported that a meeting between Stone and a man who identified himself

as Henry Greenberg was described in a pair of letters sent Friday to the House Intelligence

Committee.

Stone and Michael Caputo, a Trump campaign aide who arranged the 2016 meeting, did not

disclose the contact in their initial interviews with the committee.

But they now believe the man was an FBI informant trying to set them up in a bid to undermine

Trump's campaign.

Obviously, Greenberg could not immediately be reached for comment, but in a text to the

Washington Post, he denied he was working for the FBI when he met with Stone.

In a text?

Democrats were hoping this last-minute meeting between Stone and this Russian would be the

straw that broke the camel's back, but Stone's text was crystal clear when it confirmed it

was a "waste of time."

This is one more go at trying to overthrow President Trump.

And since they have nothing it's obvious they are now grasping at straws.

It's time we as taxpayers start demanding this corrupt Mueller investigation stops once

and for all.

They have wasted enough money on this witch hunt and time it ends once and for all.

The only collusion here is when Hillary Clinton sold our uranium to the Kremlin for donations

to the Clinton Foundation!

ABC News reported:

"Roger Stone says he is not concerned that he neglected to tell to congressional investigators

about a meeting he held with a Russian national offering dirt on Hillary Clinton, despite

being asked about foreign contacts, the longtime friend of President Donald Trump told ABC

News.

Interested in Russia Investigation?

Stone said Sunday he forgot, and his lawyer has since sent a letter to amend his testimony.

"I just didn't remember.

2016 was a pretty busy year," Stone said.

"I don't think a failure of memory constitutes a perjury."

Stone served as an adviser to Trump's presidential campaign but left amid controversy in 2015.

The contact in May 2016 was between Stone —- a self-described political "dirty trickster"

— Michael Caputo, another former Trump campaign aide, and Henry Greenberg, reportedly a Russian

citizen who claimed to have damaging material on Hillary Clinton, as first reported by The

Washington Post on Sunday.

The new disclosure brought immediate concerns from Democrats overseeing congressional investigations

into allegations of Russian collusion in the 2016 presidential campaign.

"In multiple respects now, the testimony of Roger Stone appears inaccurate or deliberately

misleading," Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence

Committee, said Sunday.

"The truthfulness of many of our witnesses has been difficult to ascertain, which is

why I have urged the committee to make the transcripts available to Special Counsel [Robert]

Mueller for a determination whether any witnesses committed perjury before our committee,"

Schiff added.

"The Majority's unwillingness to do so demonstrates that protecting the President

remains its paramount objective, even when it means shielding witnesses who may have

testified before us untruthfully."

Schiff said he had similar concerns about Caputo's testimony, which he said also omitted

mention of this interaction with a Russian national offering dirt on Clinton, something

Schiff said could not plausibly have escaped his recollection.

Attorneys for both men sent letters dated June 15 to House Intelligence Committee Chairman

Devin Nunes, R-Calif., seeking to revise their prior testimony to the committee to include

reference to the interactions with Greenberg.

Both letters say the men forgot about the interactions, but have since had their memories

refreshed.

Caputo served on the Trump campaign from November 2015 until June 2016 working out of Trump

headquarters in New York.

Greenberg purportedly reached out about setting up a meeting, which Caputo subsequently arranged.

Meeting in Sunny Isle, Florida, for lunch in May 2016, Greenberg reportedly offered

Stone damaging material on Clinton for $2 million — a deal Stone and Caputo say they

declined.

Roger Stone, a longtime political adviser and friend to President Donald Trump, speaks

during a visit to the Women's Republican Club of Miami, May 22, 2017, in Coral Gables,

Florida.more + Speaking shortly after his testimony in May,

Caputo told ABC News there was no collusion between Russians and the Trump campaign.

"In fact, there's nobody in Trump Tower at that time who has closer connections to

Moscow to the Kremlin than me.

… Nobody ever asked me about Russia.

Nobody ever spoke to me about what you know how Russia might help," Caputo said.

Reached on Sunday, Caputo confirmed investigators asked him about a text message exchange with

Stone about the meeting, the content of which was reported by The Washington Post.

"How crazy is the Russian?"

Caputo wrote, according to the Washington Post.

Stone noted that Greenberg had asked for "big money," and told Caputo the meeting was

a "waste of time," according to The Post.

Caputo and Stone now allege they were set up by the FBI because they said a private

investigation funded by Caputo's legal defense fund identified Greenberg is an FBI informant.

There is no outside evidence to support the claim that Greenberg was working as an FBI

informant when he approached Caputo and Stone.

Calls by ABC News to phone numbers associated with Greenberg were not immediately answered.

Stone says he never told Donald Trump during the campaign about the newly revealed contact

with the Russian national who claimed to have damaging material on Clinton.

"I never discussed the matter with Donald Trump or anyone in his campaign," Stone

told ABC News on Sunday.

"I flatly rejected this proposal as ludicrous and frankly forgot about it."

Hardworking Americans Furious At How Obama Bamboozled Them Out Of Nearly $200 Mil Of Their Money - Duration: 14:51.

Hardworking Americans Furious At How Obama Bamboozled Them Out Of Nearly $200 Mil Of

Their Money

Since President Obama left office he has not exactly remained quiet like other presidents

in the past who agree to let the next administration take over while they allow their successor

their moment.

While Obama is usually commenting on problems he has with the Trump Administration, the

recent news articles on the former president are not related to politics.

Instead, it is in reference to the outrage of Americans in Illinois and across the country

over the $200 million that the former president is stealing in order to create his own presidential

library.

American News reported,

"While former President Barack Obama is no longer in office, he somehow still is managing

to cost taxpayers a lot of money.

Because there is close to $200 million dollars allocated to do infrastructure road work around

the Obama Presidential Center that's being built in Chicago.

But don't worry, because it's going to be "transformational.

"The Obama Presidential Center will be a transformational project for Chicago's south

side, and this state funding demonstrates Illinois' commitment to honoring the legacy

of Chicago's favorite son and daughter," Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel proudly announced

in a statement Friday, referencing Obama and his wife, former first lady Michelle Obama.

While the former president and his wife admittedly grew up in Chicago, it remains unclear why

Emanuel considers them to be "Chicago's favorite son and daughter."

"The state's $174 million investment in infrastructure improvements near the Obama

Center on the South Side of Chicago is money well spent," he reportedly added in another

statement.

Where have Americans heard that word before?

And Obama and his "fundamental transformation" is not a good combination.

And locals are not lulled by Emanuel's words.

Says who?

Certainly not local parks activists, who filed a lawsuit last month to block the construction

of Obama's presidential center on the basis that it's a fraud.

When the Obama Foundation first sought to lease parts of Jackson Park three years ago

for its project, it convinced the city of Chicago that it planned to construct an official

library to be managed by federal officials.

But after receiving the lease, Obama suddenly decided to not include his official presidential

library within the center.

So instead of serving as an official presidential library with historic documents and archives

from the Obama administration, the center will be a standard library run by the Obama

Foundation for its own "self-determined use," according to the suit.

An activist against the project, Rev. B. Herbert Martin, Sr, excoriated the decision.

"The citizens of Chicago have been told repeatedly that we must make tough fiscal

choices for our city.

Our streets run red with blood from g*n violence even as nonprofits dedicated to violence prevention

are woefully underfunded.

Schools have been closed in our most vulnerable communities due to lack of funding.

Community members face eviction and displacement from their homes because of gentrification

across our city," he wrote in a poignant op-ed last month.

He said there could be "no justice" spending this kind of money with all Chicago's problems.

But it just shows where the Obama and Democratic politicians priorities are – money to help

the city or money to help Obama's political ambition to build more leftists.

Which do you think triumphed here?

Hint: not the regular people of the city."

The State of Illinois had officially approved $224 million for transportation projects related

to various streets in Chicago's South Side neighborhood where the President Center will

be and where the former president grew up.

while $199 million will be directly funded by the taxpayers of the great state of Illinois.

It was made official on June 4th of this year when Governor Bruce Rauner signed a bill that

passed through the state legislation which included $!74 million for the roadwork associated

with Jackson Park for the Presidential Center.

Another $50 million will be used to renovate an above-ground rail system that reaches up

to two miles away for additional access to the Presidential Center.

The Washington Examiner reported,

"Bringing the Obama Presidential Center to Chicago took leadership and vision, and

we are gratified that our partners in Springfield also saw the potential for what this means

for all of Illinois.

The state's $174 million investment in infrastructure improvements near the Obama Center on the

South Side of Chicago is money well spent," Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said in a statement

about the groundbreaking ceremony for the metro stop Friday.

Half of the $50 million Garfield Gateway rail project is funded through a 2016 Transportation

Department grant, which provides for rail platform canopies, art, and new elevators

and escalators at the station.

However, Chicago and other Illinois state residents will still be on the hook for the

remaining $199 million to improve infrastructure next to the privately owned Center.

The Obama Center project is still in the process of getting approvals, and a federal review

is ongoing.

A major local controversy has been over the proposed closing of Cornell Drive as it runs

through Jackson Park.

Federal agencies have also not approved the proposal nor issued permits allowing its construction

on free parkland.

Some local and national conservation and historical groups oppose the project because it is being

proposed at Jackson Park, a park that's almost as old as New York City's Central

Park and could be built on private land.

Local residents have repeatedly told city officials at town halls and press briefings

they worry about being pushed out of their lower-income community because of the gentrification

the center will undoubtedly bring.

The Obama Foundation originally said it would house a presidential library on the property

and vowed to have the National Archives oversee the facility because of its placement on public

land.

But that's no longer the case, and some are balking at the change in plans.

The Obama Foundation will also have to get approval from the Environmental Protection

Agency under the National Environmental Policy Act and Section 106 of the National Historic

Preservation Act.

The first verification process will determine if the Obama Presidential Center would have

"adverse effects" on Jackson Park.

The State Historic Preservation Office will ask "official consulting parties" to provide

opinions.

The last decision regarding Jackson Parkland took place in 2012, when federal officials

decided the land should not be touched."

While presidents usually make a library of their own after leaving office, these financial

figures are unseen and unheard of before.

Especially given how impoverished Chicago has been and underfunded they are in combatting

gang violence that runs rampant in the city.

These people need their taxpayer dollars to be spent judiciously and correctly because

they are already hemorrhaging money miserably.

That money could be spent on community services, public libraries, public school, recreation

centers, and g*n violence prevention.

Instead, it is being wasted on a presidential library for a president who has done nothing

for Chicago but make the gang violence problem worse.

Share if you agree.

Share if you believe that taxpayer dollars are being wasted on this Presidential Center.

Share if you think that President Obama should not be scamming the American public out of

their hard-earned money.

Laura Bush Breaks Her Silence, Suddenly Comes Out Swinging At Trump And Makes Huge Mistake - Duration: 19:10.

Laura Bush Breaks Her Silence, Suddenly Comes Out Swinging At Trump And Makes Huge Mistake

Former First Lady Laura Bush spent years saying nothing.

Eight long years of silence through one of the most corrupt administrations the United

States of America has ever had the misfortune to go through.

Then yet another year through an election where Laura was silent rather than speaking

up about the character of the man that would be her husband's predecessor.

Like her husband and her in-laws, Laura sat silently by while Barack Obama followed through

on his promises to fundamentally change America into a country that many Americans no longer

recognized.

When Officer Darren Wilson shot Michael Brown in the line of duty as Brown fled the scene

from a robbery attacking Wilson and riots ensued in Ferguson, Missouri over the false

narrative of "Hands up, don't shoot" Laura was silent.

When the events in Ferguson spawned the Black Lives Matter movement spewing racial hatred

from coast to coast, blocking highways, damaging property and businesses, and attacking police

officers, Laura was silent.

She was silent about the deaths of four brave Americans k****d in Benghazi while the Obama

regime peddled the fiction that a YouTube video caused these acts of violence.

When Bill Clinton was repeatedly accused of sexual assault and even outright r**e against

other women, Laura was silent.

Not only was Laura silent, but she and her husband, the 43rd President of the United

States, George W. Bush, actually embraced him as an adopted son of sorts.

During the highly contentious 2016 presidential election as Hillary's crimes were revealed

in all their glory, rather than speak out against them, Laura chose to vote for Hillary,

effectively endorsing the criminal actions.

Now Laura is choosing to speak.

Now that America has at long last a president willing to follow through on securing American

borders and actively working to fix America's broken immigration policies, Laura has finally

found her voice and is using it condemn these policies.

Policies that many Americans overwhelmingly support.

According to Numbers USA, the chart below reflects how midterm voters across the board

would like to see a significant reduction in illegal aliens flooding America's borders:

Meanwhile, Laura chose to pen an op-ed that appeared today in the Washington Post.

In the article, Laura speaks of President Donald Trump's zero-tolerance policy on

illegal aliens calling it "cruel and immoral".

Her op-ed states in part – "On Sunday, a day we as a nation set aside to honor fathers

and the bonds of family, I was among the millions of Americans who watched images of children

who have been torn from their parents.

In the six weeks between April 19 and May 31, the Department of Homeland Security has

sent nearly 2,000 children to mass detention centers or foster care.

More than 100 of these children are younger than 4 years old.

The reason for these separations is a zero-tolerance policy for their parents, who are accused

of illegally crossing our borders.

I live in a border state.

I appreciate the need to enforce and protect our international boundaries, but this zero-tolerance

policy is cruel.

It is immoral.

And it breaks my heart.

Our government should not be in the business of warehousing children in converted box stores

or making plans to place them in tent cities in the desert outside of El Paso.

These images are eerily reminiscent of the Japanese American internment camps of World

War II, now considered to have been one of the most shameful episodes in U.S. history.

We also know that this treatment inflicts trauma; interned Japanese have been two times

as likely to suffer cardiovascular disease or d*e prematurely than those who were not

interned."

I guess I missed the part where all of the sudden laws about illegal immigration no longer

applied.

Especially considering President Trump is simply obeying a law that has been in place

in 2002 during her husband's own administration in the DHS Security Act of 2002 as Paula Wood

so eloquently reminds her via Twitter.

Was Laura out of the country when her husband's own creation – the Department of Homeland

Security was soundly criticized in a 2005 report by the House Appropriations Committee

for separating illegal alien children from their parents?

From the report – "even as young as nursing infants, are being separated from their parents

and placed in shelters."

And then from MigrationPolicy.org – "Operation Streamline, launched in 2005 by the George

W. Bush administration in Texas' Del Rio border sector, aimed to increase immigration

prosecutions in response to an uptick in non-Mexican border crossers.

DHS increasingly had to release these migrants from detention due to space limitations.

Between 2003 and 2005, criminal prosecutions of first-time unauthorized crossers for illegal

entry more than quadrupled, from 4,000 to 16,500.

By 2010, they had reached 44,000, an 11-fold increase from 2003, while prosecutions for

other immigration charges increased just 9 percent (excluding illegal re-entry, which

tripled in that time).

Previously, CBP had mainly referred for prosecution migrants who had prior criminal convictions

or those suspected of smuggling.

Streamline continued through the Obama administration, and remains in place today.

Criminal immigration prosecutions reached a peak of 97,000 in FY 2013, although first-time

crossers were not prioritized."

The New Yorker reported in 2005 of her husband's policies on illegal immigration – "The

detention of immigrants is the fastest-growing form of incarceration in this country, and,

with the support of the Bush Administration, it is becoming a lucrative business."

By the end of 2006, there were some 14,000 people in U.S. government custody for immigration

law violations in a patchwork of detention arrangements including rental space rented

out by hundreds of local and state jails, as well as seven freestanding facilities run

by private contractors.

Year over year statistics shows that this number increased by 79% from 2005 to 2006.

This increase was directly attributed to the actions of Michael Chertoff, the Secretary

of the Department of Homeland Security, which runs the Immigration and Customs Enforcement

division.

In 2005, Chertoff announced the end of "catch-and-release" -the long-standing practice of allowing immigrants

caught without legal documents to remain free inside the country while they waited for an

appearance in court.

Since illegal aliens were not monitored in any way, the rate of no-shows for court was

predictably high.

With no punitive measures in place to enforce compliance, there was no incentive to comply.

Predictably the New Yorker reports of how this practice increased anti-immigration sentiments.

As with the implementation of this policy, when immigration detentions began to rise

and even climb post-9/11 the private prison for profit system eagerly offered up their

beds, revitalizing the industry.

It seems Laura's hypocrisy knows no bounds.

As MigrationPolicy.org reports regarding the challenges of increased family migration –

"As families have begun to make up a larger share of unauthorized flows, the government

has faced two barriers to ending "catch and release": strict legal protections for

child migrants and insufficient detention capacity.

The 1997 Flores v. Reno court settlement, which remains in effect, requires the government

to release children from immigration detention without unnecessary delay to, in order of

preference, parents, other adult relatives, or licensed programs willing to accept custody.

If children cannot be released, Flores requires the government to hold them in the "least

restrictive" setting available.

The 2008 Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA) codified parts of the settlement

into federal law.

In 2015, U.S. District Judge Dolly Gee of the Central District Court in California ruled

that the Flores requirement applies to both unaccompanied minors and children apprehended

with their parents, meaning that all minors must be released from detention if possible.

Gee also ordered DHS to release parents detained along with their children.

An appeals court in 2016 affirmed that Flores applied to all children, but reversed the

ruling that parents should be released as well.

Though myriad factors drive migration, many have suggested that the 2015 Gee decision

contributed to a spike in apprehensions of people traveling in families, which jumped

from 40,000 in FY 2015 to 78,000 in FY 2016—a 95 percent increase.

The surge in family flows meant that there were not enough detention beds available to

hold families even for the 20 days allowed under the court settlement, causing many to

be released.

By referring parents for criminal prosecution—funneling them into the Justice Department's correctional

system, separate from ICE detention—the Trump administration may bypass the limitations

of the family detention system, which currently has the capacity to hold just 2,700 people

at a time."

'Canadians Are Livid' About Trump And Are Hitting Back By Boycotting U.S. Goods - Duration: 10:18.

'Canadians Are Livid' About Trump And Are Hitting Back By Boycotting U.S. Goods

In a large, brightly lit grocery store in Canada's capital Ottawa, Scott Chamberlain smoothly navigates his shopping cart through the produce section, looking for ingredients to make chili.

He snaps up a bag of red peppers, clearly stamped "Product of Canada." But the only onions available are from the U.S.

He reaches for Canadian-grown leeks instead.

First trump-free grocery cart.

Focusing on great Canadian products and those from countries with stronger leadership.

#buycanadian #trumpfree pic.twitter.com/XHgGJNtzcJ — Scott Chamberlain .

Chamberlain says he began scouring labels shortly after the Group of 7 summit in Canada in early June, when President Trump called Prime Minister Justin Trudeau "meek and mild" and "dishonest & weak.

Across Canada, people are increasingly shocked and angry about the way the country is being treated by the Trump administration.

They've watched as the U.S.

has slapped steep tariffs on Canadian products, listened to President Trump harangue Trudeau and discovered the U.S.

now considers their country a national security threat.

Things began to go downhill in late May, when the U.S.

imposed tariffs of 25 percent on Canadian steel and 10 percent on aluminum.

Trudeau angrily rejected the U.S.

rationale for the tariffs — that dependence on other countries' aluminum and steel posed a national security threat — as "insulting and unacceptable.".

Trump then lashed out at Trudeau for holding a press conference critical of U.S.

trade policies at the G-7.

He warned that Trudeau's criticism "[is] going to cost a lot of money for the people of Canada." Trump's trade adviser, Peter Navarro, piled on, saying Trudeau had earned a "special place in hell." Navarro later apologized.

But Canadians were outraged.

Now, from British Columbia to Newfoundland, they are protesting the Trump administration with their pocketbooks.

The U.S.

and Canada trade roughly $2 billion worth of goods and services every day.

Chamberlain, a lawyer and father of four, is part of a fast-growing social media movement to buy only Canadian goods.

Hashtags include #BuyCanadian, #BoycottUSA and #TrumpFree.

Chamberlain says if he can't find a Canadian product, he'll look for something from elsewhere — as long as it's not from the U.S.

He points to a display of cherries in the supermarket.

"Bing cherries or Rainier cherries are probably going to be a product of the United States," Chamberlain says.

He decides to buy Mexican grapes.

"They're very similar," he says.

"Actually, I'll probably end up spending less buying the grapes.".

Chamberlain says he was proud of the way Canada supported Trudeau after the G-7 summit.

Even Trudeau's political enemies vowed solidarity with the prime minister.

And as a personal protest, he decided to boycott American goods.

"Maybe it was a spontaneous act of patriotism," he says.

Many Canadians are wondering how a once-strong relationship with the U.S.

has deteriorated so quickly.

"Canadians are livid; the anger is across the country," says Roland Paris, a professor of international affairs at the University of Ottawa and a former foreign policy adviser to Trudeau.

He says Trump may be using tariffs and undignified language as leverage for trade deals, such as the ongoing North American Free Trade Agreement talks, but Canadians are shocked at being treated as an adversary.

"If President Trump's goal is to try to soften up his negotiating partner by issuing threats, it's having the opposite effect, because people are more resolved to stand up against this kind of bullying," he says.

The Canadian government says it will levy dollar-for-dollar retaliatory tariffs against the U.S.

on July 1, Canada Day.

These will include steel and aluminum, along with other products — such as bourbon from Kentucky — that will particularly hit states aligned with Trump.

Gary Howe, the president of the United Steelworkers Local 1005, in Hamilton, Ontario, says his members aren't panicking yet about a possible trade war with the U.S.

The bigger concern is what's happening on the U.S.-Mexico border.

"You know, the kids that are separated from their parents — I mean, it really makes Trump look to be like quite a monster," he says.

"I think that most Canadians would kind of view him as.

quite an evil person, you know, because that's the way that the [Canadian] media has been kind of presenting it.".

Paris says many Canadians have relatives and friends in the U.S.

and understand it is a big and complex country.

"Nevertheless," he says, "the chaos, the meanness, the brutality of American politics right now is something that is profoundly shocking to Canadians and I think many people feel that they do not recognize the U.S.

anymore.".

Gordon Ritchie, Canada's ambassador for trade negotiations in the 1980s and one of the principal negotiators of the original Canada-U.S.

free trade agreement, says the tariffs and tough talk have created a breach of trust — but the relationship will survive.

"I think the Canadian-American relationship — in political and economic terms — is very, very close and it will outlast this president," he says.

In the meantime, he believes Canadians will continue to voice their disapproval with the Trump administration through the #BuyCanadian movement.

He predicts that will extend to the tourism industry as well.

Three of his neighbors who spend time in Florida every year are now looking for new vacation spots outside the U.S.
