Trey Gowdy Announced A New Investigation And No One Could Believe The Target

Trey Gowdy stunned Washington when he announced a new investigation.

The chairman of the House Oversight Committee has his sights set on one figure in particular.

And you aren't going to believe who it is.

Conservatives were puzzled when Gowdy announced an investigation in Secretary of Housing and

Urban Development Ben Carson's $31,000 bill for redecorating his office.

The Blaze reports:

"An employee of the HUD office said that she was demoted when she refused to spend

more for decoration of the office than was legally allowed.

Gowdy sent a letter to Carson at the HUD department, asking that he supply all documents having

to do with the accusations issued against him.

"The Committee is aware of a complaint filed with the Office of Special Counsel (OSC) by

Department of Housing and Urban Development employee Helen Foster alleging retaliation

when Foster refused to abet exceeding a spending cap on redecorating your office," the letter

read.

Gowdy asked to obtain all, "documents and communications referring or relating to redecorating,

furnishing, or equipping your office since January 1, 2017, including, but not limited

to, receipts for related expenses, and a February 22, 2017."

Foster had filed a complaint about the spending in November – the limit of spending was

set at $5,000, and the request had far exceeded that amount, with $31,000 spent on a "new

office suite dining room set."

Dr. Carson responded by tweeting out that he had done nothing wrong and that he would

be vindicated.

The Blaze also reports:

"Thank you to so many who have expressed concern for me and my family over the latest

accusations," he said.

"Rest assured that there has been no dishonesty or wrongdoing by us.

All the numbers and evidence are being gathered and a full disclosure is forthcoming."

"We suspect, based on past attempts, that they will continue to probe and make further

accusations even without evidence or substantiation," he concluded.

"We will continue to ask for God's guidance to do what is right."

Some Trump supporters are wondering why Gowdy is investigating the administration on this

matter when there is an avalanche of scandal flowing out of the FBI and Obama administration

that has yet to be fully investigated.

It's a strange move by Gowdy who has been at the forefront of the fight to uncover the

wrong doing by the FBI in their spying on the Trump campaign.

Ever since Megyn Kelly's morning show premiered on NBC, network executives have regretted

ever signing her, as she has been a huge ratings anchor from the very beginning.

Now, things have gotten even worse for Kelly, as her future at NBC is already in jeopardy

less than a year after her 9am show premiered.

Life and Style Magazine reported that Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford, who host the

10am time slot of "Today," are pressuring NBC executives to allow them to switch time

slots with Kelly.

The two are desperate to make this switch because Kelly's ratings are so bad that

she has caused ratings for their show to dip as well.

"Hoda and Kathie Lee told executives that their family-friendly show should be on at

9 a.m. because Megyn's talk show is not a good fit," the source explained.

"It never really was."

"They totally support women moving up the ladder, and both agree that Megyn is a great

journalist.

But all the media coaching in the world won't make her relatable," the source continued.

"Friends, family, and fans all told Hoda and Kathie Lee that viewers just don't relate

to Megyn.

So, Hoda told her bosses — and they listened."

Since taking over the anchor seat that was anchored by Matt Lauer, Kotb has become extremely

popular with viewers, giving her lots of power at NBC.

"In many ways, Hoda stepped in and saved the day at Today, which is what NBC was expecting

Megyn to do when they poached her from Fox," another insider said about Kelly.

"The network gave her a shot.

But, she's just not daytime material."

Kelly thought she was making the best move of her career when she left Fox for NBC, but

clearly, she was actually just killing her career.

BREAKING CONGRESS DROPS NUKE ON OBAMA'S INNER CIRCLE

New reports have just come in confirming that the House Intelligence Committee is investigating

former Secretary of State John Kerry for his role in the anti-Donald Trump dossier that

was funded by the DNC and Hillary Clinton's campaign.

The Gateway Pundit reported that the committee has spent over a month focusing on investigating

former Obama State Department officials and their role in either transmitting information

or using information provided by a former British spy and investigator Christopher Steele,

who compiled the dossier.

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) told Fox News host Laura Ingraham last month that Kerry had been

briefed on a "second dossier."

"There were comments over the weekend from people from within the State Department that

said John Kerry had been briefed on the dossier–the new dossier whatever this new dossier is and

that they also provided it to the FBI," Nunes told her.

Now this investigation has zeroed in on the Obama administration, it likely will not be

long until the former president finds himself under investigation.

Last month, Nunes sent a dozen letters containing ten questions, to former high-ranking Obama

administration officials demanding full disclosure of their knowledge of the unverified dossier.

Though he did not say exactly who he sent the letters to, new reports have indicated

that CIA Director John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and

former FBI Director James Comey were among those Obama officials to receive a questionnaire.

Two days ago, Nunes revealed that some of the former administration officials responded,

others asked for extensions, and several have failed to respond.

However, he added that dozens more letters will be sent to Obama administration officials

as the investigation moves forward.

"There are a few people though that are not responding – they seem to have gone

dark," Nunes told Martha McCallum.

"However, if they don't respond here shortly they will be getting subpoenaed to appear

before Congress to be treated with a deposition."

It certainly appears that the writing is on the wall for Obama and his allies.

Earlier this week, Meghan Markle's father Thomas Markle Sr. gave a tell-all interview

in which he revealed secrets about Prince Harry's political believes as well as the

future plans he has with his new bride.

Now, a source close to Meghan is saying that the Duchess of Sussex is "devastated"

about her father's latest betrayal and that she does not understand why he gave the interview

in the first place.

"She is trying so hard to fit in and adapt to this very new way of life and she was once

again blindsided by a father who supposedly cares about her and doesn't want to embarrass

her," the source said, according to Daily Star.

"Given the media circus surrounding her father's actions before the wedding, Meghan

had hoped he would have learned his lesson.

She is devastated over this."

"Harry did his best to prepare Meghan for what to expect from the media as a member

of the royal family, but it's impossible," the source continued.

"Her experience as an actress on a popular nighttime soap pales in comparison.

The knives are out and, sadly, some of them appear to be coming from her own family."

Arguably the most damaging part of Thomas' interview came when he opened up about conversations

he had with his son-in-law in which Harry expressed his political opinions.

Telling the public what Harry said is particularly bad since the royal family is supposed to

stay politically neutral.

"I was complaining I didn't like Donald Trump.

He said give Donald Trump a chance, I sort of disagreed with that," Thomas said in

the interview.

"I think he was open to the experiment (of Brexit)."

The British royal family has likely had enough of the embarrassment that the Markle family

has caused them, and Meghan's time in their family may end up being over much sooner than

she thought.
