Devin Nunes Just Shed Some Light On Just How Corrupt The FBI Actually Is
In the past year, the FBI has lost a lot of credibility.
The release of the heavily redacted FISA warrant used to spy on Trump adviser Carter Page only
helped fuel that fire.
And Devin Nunes just shed some light on one thing few noticed in the warrant that proves
just how corrupt the FBI actually is.
In order to begin Robert Mueller's Russia investigation, a lot of footwork had to be
put in.
People at all levels of government were involved, with the FBI seeming to be the driving force.
The FBI was the agency that submitted the application to obtain a FISA warrant to spy
on Trump adviser Carter Page.
That warrant was a major factor used as justification when Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein
announced the formation of Robert Mueller's special counsel investigation.
In the four applications the FBI submitted, it was clear that the main piece of evidence
used to obtain the warrant was the Russia dossier compiled by former British Spy Christopher
Steele.
That was the same dossier that was funded by Trump's rival in 2016, Hillary Clinton,
along with the Democratic National Committee.
Not only was it funded by his political opponent, but it was unverified, with ridiculous claims
seeming to come from nowhere listed.
So that one fact proved just how politically motivated the FBI acted and was a sort of
vindication for Trump, who has been railing on the FBI for nearly two years.
But according to Rep. Devin Nunes, it may not even be the worst part of the warrant.
Because the warrant was highly redacted, there was much of it that the American people can't
read, and that is what troubles Nunes.
Speaking to The Hill, he pointed out that what can be seen in the warrant application
itself is bad, but that what people can't see is even worse.
"I would argue that what's left in there is really bad, if not worse, but also what's
not in there is even worse than what people can see, what people can't see," Nunes
stated.
This is very telling coming from Nunes.
As House Intelligence Committee Chairman, if anybody outside the FBI knows what's
in the warrant application, it's him.
But because the information is classified, he cannot say exactly what is in it.
Instead, he is dropping hints, letting the American people know that what they can see
isn't the worst that's out there.
It is difficult to even speculate about what could be in the redacted portion of the document
based on his statement.
There can't be much worse out there than a Justice Department agency using unverified
information found in a politically motivated dossier to obtain a warrant on somebody advising
a presidential campaign.
Page was spied on under the belief that he was the Trump campaign's contact with Russian
officials.
Not only has Page intensely denied these accusations, Mueller isn't even investigating him anymore.
That means that on practical terms, the only value in him being spied on was to justify
the creation of Robert Mueller's investigation.
