Jeff Sessions Is About To Turn Robert Mueller's Investigation Upside Down

The Russia collusion investigation is a crusade to drive Donald Trump from office.

Special counsel Robert Mueller was appointed to dig up evidence to use in order to impeach

the President.

But Attorney General Jeff Sessions is about to turn the investigation upside down.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley has found evidence of a crime.

He fired off a letter to the Justice Department that laid out his belief that Christopher

Steele had lied to the FBI about his contacts with reporters, and that Clinton family hatchet

man Cody Shearer and Obama State Department official Jordan Winter were funneling information

to him for the second memo he wrote.

The Daily Caller reports:

"There is substantial evidence suggesting that Mr. Steele materially misled the FBI

about a key aspect of his dossier efforts, one which bears on his credibility," Graham

and Grassley wrote to Wray and Rosenstein.

Much of their letter refers to Steele's contacts with media outlets prior to the 2016

election.

Steele has disclosed in court filings in London that he held off-the-record meetings with

reporters at several news outlets prior to the election.

The Grassley-Graham referral suggests that Steele misled the FBI about contacts he had

with reporters about the dossier.

A four-page memo released by the House Intelligence Committee on Friday contains similar hints

about Steele's disclosures about his contacts with the press.

That memo suggests that Steele, an ex-MI6 officer, did not tell the FBI that he met

reporters in September 2016 to discuss an investigation on Donald Trump that he was

doing on behalf of Fusion GPS, an opposition research firm that was in turn working for

the Clinton campaign and DNC.

Steele met with Michael Isikoff, a reporter at Yahoo!

News who wrote the first news article based on information from the former British spy.

That article was cited along with the dossier in the FBI and DOJ's application for a warrant

to spy on former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

But according to the House Intel memo, Steele "improperly concealed from and lied to the

FBI" about his contacts with reporters, including Isikoff.

Steele's dossier, which includes 17 memos in all, was published on Jan. 10, 2017 by

BuzzFeed.

But according to Grassley and Graham, Steele wrote another memo — one dated Oct. 19,

2016 — that was not part of the BuzzFeed dossier."

If Attorney General Sessions decides to pursue criminal charges against Steele it would turn

the Russia investigation on its head.

It would show that the dossier – which was the basis for obtaining a FISA warrant – was

put together by a liar.

Robert Mueller's investigation is taking on water.

As FBI Director, Mueller worked with radical Islamic groups like the Council on American

Islamic Relations and the Islamic Society of North America to implement politically

correct policies in anti-terrorism training materials.

Mueller purged all information deemed "offensive to Muslims" from training manuals.

Political correctness came before national security.

Devin Nunes' memo exposed the FBI spying on the Trump campaign as the biggest scandal

in American political history.

It was a scheme to rig the election in Hillary's favor and then destroy Trump's Presidency.

And now Trey Gowdy just asked the one question the FBI did not want anyone to ask.

The Democrats released their own memo to try and knock down the allegations made by Nunes.

Their memo claimed the FBI had other corroborating evidence they used to obtain a FISA warrant

against Page.

But Gowdy destroyed that line of argument.

Fox News reports:

ARTICLE THAT THE FBI COULD HAVE USED TO OBTAIN THE WARRANT.

"IF YOU HAD A BUNCH OF OTHER REASONS TO GET A FISA WARRANT TO GET [SURVEILLANCE ON]

CARTER PAGE…

WHY DIDN'T YOU USE IT?"

GOWDY ASKED.

GOWDY MAINTAINED THAT HE IS NOT TAKING THE POSITION THAT THE FBI SHOULD NOT HAVE SOUGHT

INFORMATION ON PAGE, JUST THAT HE WAS UNSURE WHETHER A DOSSIER PARTIALLY FUNDED BY AN OPPOSITION

CANDIDATE WAS THE STRONGEST CASE THE GOVERNMENT COULD MAKE."

He noted that Page was not a polished speaker in TV interviews, and nor was he some James

Bond figure.

Fox News also reports:

"HE SAID PAGE DOES "NOT KNOW HOW TO STOP TALKING" DURING INTERVIEWS AND IS NOT A

HIGH-PROFILE OR SKILLED INTERNATIONAL FIGURE.

"HE'S NOT JASON BOURNE, HE'S NOT JAMES BOND," GOWDY SAID, REFERRING TO FAMOUS FICTIONAL

SPIES CREATED BY ROBERT LUDLUM AND IAN FLEMING RESPECTIVELY.

"IF THE FBI WANTED TO INVESTIGATE HIM, FINE," HE SAID, GOING ON TO QUESTION THE USE OF "OPPOSITION

RESEARCH" IN A DOSSIER IF THERE WERE MORE REPUTABLE SOURCES OF CONCERNING INFORMATION

ABOUT PAGE."

In addition, Russian agents were caught on a wiretap in 2013 referring to Page as an

idiot after a failed attempt to recruit him.

In fact, in that case, Page ended up working with the FBI in subsequent interviews about

the Russian spy ring.

Two Russians were charged with violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act as a result

of Page's cooperation.

It's clear the Democrat memo was a misdirection play.

The main evidence used to get the warrant to spy on Page was the fake news dossier.

That makes the warrant a sham.

And it is forcing the left to come to grips with the fact that they spent two decades

covering for Bill Clinton as he faced allegations of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and

rape.

So Monica Lewinsky is using the subsequent #MeToo movement to return to the public spotlight.

She recently penned an essay that appeared in Vanity Fair where she finally admitted

that the affair with Clinton was an abuse of his power as a sitting President.

"SHE SAID SHE HAS DRAWN STRENGTH, HOWEVER, FROM THE #METOO MOVEMENT WHICH HAS REVEALED

SEXUAL ABUSE BY POWERFUL MEN IN SHOW BUSINESS, POLITICS AND THE MEDIA.

LEWINSKY SAID SHE HAD RECEIVED A MESSAGE RECENTLY FROM "ONE OF THE BRAVE WOMEN LEADING THE

#METOO MOVEMENT" SAYING "I'M SO SORRY YOU WERE SO ALONE."

"THOSE SEVEN WORDS UNDID ME," LEWINSKY WROTE.

"THEY LANDED IN A WAY THAT CRACKED ME OPEN AND BROUGHT ME TO TEARS."

"THAT I HAD MADE MISTAKES, ON THAT WE CAN ALL AGREE," SHE SAID.

"BUT SWIMMING IN THAT SEA OF ALONENESS WAS TERRIFYING."

LEWINSKY SAID THERE ARE "MANY MORE WOMEN AND MEN WHOSE VOICES AND STORIES NEED TO BE

HEARD BEFORE MINE.

"THERE ARE EVEN SOME PEOPLE WHO FEEL MY WHITE HOUSE EXPERIENCES DON'T HAVE A PLACE

IN THIS MOVEMENT, AS WHAT TRANSPIRED BETWEEN BILL CLINTON AND MYSELF WAS NOT SEXUAL ASSAULT,

ALTHOUGH WE NOW RECOGNIZE THAT IT CONSTITUTED A GROSS ABUSE OF POWER," SHE SAID."

Lewinski's last sentence is the key.

And it could very well finish Bill Clinton's time as a national Democrat figure.

As the wave of sexual misconduct scandals sweep America, many Democrats have already

begun to re-evaluate Bill Clinton's role in politics.

Some Democrats have even stepped forward and suggested that Bill Clinton is no longer welcome

on the campaign trail this fall.

It is a stunning fall from grace for the first Democrat President since World War II to be

re-elected.

The ranks of Democrats who won't want to be associated with Clinton will only continue

to swell now that Lewinsky has come out and accused him of abusing his power by pushing

a workplace romance with her when she was a White House intern.
