USA news on Youtube Jul 30 2018

Arsenal have been given fresh hope over signing Ousmane Dembele.Malcom's arrival at Barcelona has increased the competition for games in the attacking positions, with the Brazilian capable of playing down the wings or through the middle

The Catalans signed the youngster from French side Bordeaux earlier this month and he has already had an impact on the pitch in their pre-season tour of the USA

It was the 21-year-old that scored the winning spot kick in the penalty shootout on his debut for Barcelona to secure victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the International Champions Cup in California

Ernesto Valverde's side dominated proceedings in the fist half to run up a 2-0 lead through goalscorers Munir El Haddadi and Athur, another new signing at the Camp Nou

Spurs came back however to force the game to do to penalties as Heung-min Son and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou levelled the scoreline

According to Sport, Dembele is concerned that his place is under threat from Malcom and his agent has already organised talks with Barcelona with regards to the winger's role in the squad for the coming season

The 21-year-old signed from Borussia Dortmund for £135.5million last summer following the departure of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain

Injuries hampered his start to life in Spain and he has been dogged by rumours of an early exit

He suffered a hamstring tear on his debut back in September 2017 and was not able to return to action until Janaury after which he suffered a recurrence of the issue as he was ruled out for a further four weeks

Dembele started the opening game of the World Cup 2018 but found himself benched for the majority of the tournament as France became two champions for the second time, 20 years on from their maiden victory

Instead of persisting with his initial plan for a mobile front three, Didier Deschamps opted to reselect Olivier Giroud as his starting striker, with Antoine Griezman, Blaise Matuidi and Kylian Mbappe playing off the Chelsea forward

A summer exit for Dembele could see him move to the Premier League, with Arsenal in need of a game-changing winger following the departures of Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott in the January transfer window

While Unai Emery will be able to call upon Alex Iwobi, Danny Welbeck and Reiss Nelson to line up out wide, none of his current options can match the impact that the Frenchman can make as a creative presence down the flanks

In his one full season with Dortmund, he created 16 assists and scored six goals in the Bundesliga, setting up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on 10 occasions, the most of any player combination in Europe's top five divisions

The Gabonese forward is now Arsenal's main striker. If the Gunners could rekindle their relationship in Germany, they would be a force to be reckoned with the in the Premier League too

It has also been previously reported that the club's head of recruitment, Sven Mislintat, has been in regular contact with Dembele due to their own close relationship

The talent-spotter was one of the driving forces behind the winger's move to Dortmund in 2016

Malcom was heavily-linked with a move to Spurs back in January. Instead, Mauricio Pochettino welcomed Lucas Moura to his squad in January

Arsenal could stand to benefit from Tottenham's decision to sign a different winger from Ligue 1

Trey Gowdy Turned Heads With This Comment About Trump

Colluding With Russia

The investigation into the Trump campaign colluding with Russia has dominated American

politics for 18 months.

As a member of the House Intelligent Committee, Trey Gowdy has been front and center in the

probe.

But what he said about Trump colluding with Russia left everyone buzzing.

Gowdy appeared on Fox News Sunday and was asked about the Republicans on the Intelligence

Committee putting out a report saying they found no evidence of collusion.

Trump cited that report in a tweet and declared there was no collusion with Russia.

Gowdy responded by contradicting the President.

Conservatives were stunned that Gowdy would go against Trump.

Gowdy said they found no evidence of collusion, but since they did not interview several witnesses,

they could not make a definitive statement about there being no collusion with Russia.

It is strange that Republicans are trying to weasel out of their

findings that there was no evidence of collusion.

Trump supporters are wondering why they are leaving the door open on this fake news conspiracy

theory promoted by the media and Democrats.

Trey Gowdy Said Something About Replacing Paul Ryan That No One Saw Coming - Duration: 12:01.

Trey Gowdy Said Something About Replacing Paul Ryan That No One Saw Coming

Paul Ryan stunned political observers when he announced his retirement.

Now the race is on to see who will succeed him.

But Trey Gowdy stopped everyone in their tracks when he uttered these remarks about the next

Speaker.

Gowdy set off a firestorm of speculation when he reacted to Ryan's declaration that he

would not run for re-election.

The South Carolina Congressman stated that anyone – you don't have to be a member

of the House of Representatives – could be Speaker of the House.

This led some pundits to wonder if Gowdy – who has also announced he is not running for re-election

in 2018 – would be willing to throw his hat in the ring to be the next Speaker.

The Daily Caller reports:

"CONGRESSMAN TREY GOWDY REMINDED EVERYONE WEDNESDAY THAT THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE DOES

NOT NEED TO ACTUALLY BE A SITTING CONGRESSMAN.

THE CONSTITUTION DICTATES "THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES SHALL CHOOSE THEIR SPEAKER

AND OTHER OFFICERS," BUT IT DOES NOT STIPULATE THAT YOU HAVE TO BE A SITTING MEMBER OF CONGRESS

TO RUN FOR THE LEADERSHIP POSITION.

GOWDY CONVENIENTLY POINTED THAT OUT AT THE END OF HIS STATEMENT ON SPEAKER PAUL RYAN'S

DECISION NOT TO SEEK RE-ELECTION AT THE END OF HIS TERM.

AFTER CALLING RYAN THE "SMARTEST KID IN THE CLASS" AND WISHING HIM HIS WIFE AND

THEIR THREE CHILDREN "ALL THE BEST," THE SOUTH CAROLINA REPUBLICAN ADDRESSED "THOSE

WITHIN CONGRESS WHO ALWAYS SEEMED TO HAVE A BETTER IDEA OR A SMARTER STRATEGY, NOW IS

YOUR CHANCE TO RUN FOR SPEAKER."

"TO THOSE OUTSIDE OF CONGRESS WHO ALWAYS SEEMED TO HAVE A BETTER IDEA OR A SMARTER

STRATEGY," HE ADDED.

"YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE HOUSE TO BE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE AND HENCE, NOW

IS YOUR CHANCE TO RUN FOR SPEAKER."

Ryan was a complete disappointment as Speaker.

He presided over a Congress that spent more time investigating the President than trying

to pass his agenda.

And because Ryan failed to wage even one ounce of a fight to fund Trump's border wall and

enact his Make America Great Again agenda, Republican voter enthusiasm is depressed ahead

of the 2018 midterms.

Gowdy seemed to suggest that someone outside of Congress – who recognizes these flaws

– should try and mount a campaign to succeed Ryan.

Reporters immediately went to his office to ask if this meant Gowdy wanted to be the next

Speaker.

But his spokesman shot it down with a forceful denial.

The Daily Caller also reports:

"WHEN ASKED FOR COMMENT ON THE POSSIBILITY HE BECOMES THE FIRST NON-SITTING MEMBER TO

BECOME THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE IN U.S. HISTORY, A SPOKESWOMAN FOR HIS OFFICE RESPONDED SIMPLY

"NOT A CHANCE."

Would you like to have seen Trey Gowdy replace Paul Ryan?

Jeff Sessions Said The Two Words That Sent Democrats Over The Edge - Duration: 10:27.

Jeff Sessions Said The Two Words That Sent Democrats Over The Edge

The Democrats are on the warpath.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions delivered a speech declaring the administration's support

for law enforcement.

And he said two words that pushed Democrats over the edge.

Sessions was addressing the National Sheriff's Association and praised sheriffs for their

role in local law enforcement throughout the country's history.

He then stated how they represented an important part of the "Anglo-American" law enforcement

heritage.

CNN reports:

"ATTORNEY GENERAL JEFF SESSIONS ON MONDAY BROUGHT UP SHERIFFS' "ANGLO-AMERICAN HERITAGE"

DURING REMARKS TO LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS IN WASHINGTON.

"I WANT TO THANK EVERY SHERIFF IN AMERICA.

SINCE OUR FOUNDING, THE INDEPENDENTLY ELECTED SHERIFF HAS BEEN THE PEOPLE'S PROTECTOR,

WHO KEEPS LAW ENFORCEMENT CLOSE TO AND ACCOUNTABLE TO PEOPLE THROUGH THE ELECTED PROCESS,"

SESSIONS SAID IN REMARKS AT THE NATIONAL SHERIFFS ASSOCIATION WINTER MEETING, ADDING, "THE

OFFICE OF SHERIFF IS A CRITICAL PART OF THE ANGLO-AMERICAN HERITAGE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT."

"WE MUST NEVER ERODE THIS HISTORIC OFFICE," SESSIONS CONTINUED."

Sessions was not out of bounds in any way with his remark – much of American legal

tradition derives from British common law.

But it sent the left into a total frenzy.

Leading Democrats such as Senator Brian Schatz of Hawaii and California Lt. Governor Gavin

Newsome predictably accused Sessions of spreading bigotry and white supremacy.

Newsome went ever further in his outrageous smear of Sessions.

Breitbart reports:

"CALIFORNIA LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR AND GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE GAVIN NEWSOM CALLED ATTORNEY GENERAL

JEFF SESSIONS AN "OUTRIGHT RACIST" ON MONDAY EVENING FOR SAYING THAT SHERIFFS ARE

A "CRITICAL PART OF THE ANGLO-AMERICAN HERITAGE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT."

"REMINDER THAT OUR ATTORNEY GENERAL IS AN OUTRIGHT RACIST WHO WANTS US ALL TO ACKNOWLEDGE

'ANGLO-AMERICAN HERITAGE,'" TWEETED NEWSOM, WHO IS RUNNING TO LEAD THE "RESISTANCE

STATE."

"Anglo-American" is a common term when discussing the American legal system.

Barack Obama used the term during a Senate floor speech.

And left-wing icon Ruth Bader Ginsburg has employed it in Supreme Court opinions.

But liberals like Newsome – who is running for California Governor – must adopt the

most extreme positions on identity politics in order to appeal to the Democrats insane

voter base.
