Dog was rushed to the animal hospital
and was successfully treated for smoke inhalation
Temperatures had dropped below freezing
when someone called the police to report
that a dog had been left under the bridge
"Eyes are open. Don't know how long he has been outside..."
"but he is freezing. We are trying to get him warmed."
