What's up guys, Invisible Jiu Jitsu. Sid's helping me out, we're going to do a
continuation of the Ko Uchi Gari technique we did last time. That was done with the
Kouchi Gari moving forward, our uke moving forward. Now we're going to do it
moving back. If you want to see the first video, click in the corner and then
come back for this one. so sid always makes me look good doing
judo, so if it looks bad it's 100% my fault.
So it'll look like this. We'll take it slow and then I'll do one full speed okay.
I'm gonna move him in....I'm gonna come up
Hang off him....and move forward...
ok, so our steps are that.
so it's 1...2....3
and there's my finish and I'm into a knee cut or I'm into a little hop over his guard.
The biggest mistake I see [I'll do one faster]
The biggest mistakes I see with this are we try and cover distance going forwards
but you zombie. So as we come in I keep my arms dead straight and he just gets
away from me. And then a second mistake is... I do bring him towards me, but then I
don't hang off this arm... and then as I try to sweep he's too well-balanced and he's
able to step out of my technique. So stepwise it looks like this.
Cover distance and bring him to me, so what I want is to get in between his
legs and crash my forearm into the middle of his body. My left leg is
going to come up and I'm going to hang off this arm
I'm gonna steering wheel and rotate if he tries to step back now it's difficult.
It's very difficult for him to step back when I'm hanging off that arm and that's
where I used to make this massive mistake with my own ko uchi gari.
that's why I failed a lot... [this arm]
step 1....2....
and now I can't sweep yet, it's too heavy. I must go forward and then we're sweeping in the
direction of his toes okay so the sweep is going to come in that direction...
in the direction of his toes. So, it's very important I crash into the middle.
I don't want to start rotating his body where he's able to step back and do other stuff.
it's going to complicate matters okay. So grip... we cover distance... foot comes up
to allow me to then sweep. I must hang off his arm. and I start to go
forward and now I'm into my knee cut
there's my pass
a moose once bit my sister
okay and then keeping balance it's going to put me in a good position.
so again. common mistakes are not covering any distance
...not hanging here so that he's able to step back
not the end of the world because then we can hit our uke going forward type throws.
tai otoshi, harai goshi, uchi mata...various other things
so, those are the two biggest mistakes. What I'm aiming to do after I cover distance... hang
....drive... now he goes light on his heel. I'm aiming to drive through him to get
his heels with the weight through them so that I can sweep. So hopefully you liked
