Reports surfaced this week regarding the German club's interest in Zaha, with Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc fielding questions on the Ivorian
While refusing to comment on the prospect of luring the forward away from England, Zorc admitted Zaha is a "good player"
It is not the first time Palace have been forced to deflect interest away from their star man, with Tottenham reportedly courting the 26-year-old last summer
The Eagles responded by handing Zaha a new five-year contract worth £130,000 a week, and Hodgson has been given no indication his player won't honour that deal
"There's been absolutely no dialogue whatsoever between Borussia Dortmund and Crystal Palace," the manager confirmed before the Palace's fourth-round tie against Tottenham at Selhurst Park on Sunday
"Wilf Zaha signed a long-term contract with Crystal Palace - he is very much our player
" Dortmund acquired teenage sensation Jadon Sancho from Manchester City in 2017, and the winger has been a revelation in the Bundesliga, forming part of the side's vibrant attack
Such has Sancho's impact been, that USA prodigy Christian Pulisic will join Chelsea in the summer after being deemed surplus to requirements
And Dortmund, who top the Bundesliga by six points, could be in the market for a replacement
But Hodgson believes Zorc's comments on Zaha are not much to read into. "The fact is, when they are asked the question: 'What do you think of Wilf Zaha? Do you think he's a good player?' I'd be very surprised if there's any clubs out there that would say: 'No, I don't think he's any good'," Hodgson added
"But that doesn't mean that they are going to buy him."
