switch gears and ask you about the latest on your investigation into the State Department

and what has taken place in the FBI and the DOJ the president wrote a tweet this weekend

basically suggesting that maybe he is open to declassifying something you've asked for

him to do and you've said it many times on this program yesterday he said this

why isn't the FBI giving Andrew McCabe text messages to Judicial Watch or appropriate

governmental authorities FBI said they won't give up even one I may have to get involved

he wrote do not destroy what are they hiding McCabe wife took big campaign dollars from

Hillary people so mr. chairman you've said that many times you want the president to

declassify this information I asked the president this straight away in my interview with him

about a month ago listen to this any comments on Peter struck and these testimonies that

we're seeing rod Rosenstein at Christopher ray why don't you just direct your subordinates

to get those documents over to Congress are you gonna do it I have this country running

like a top Mike

Pompeo is doing great we really have a great group of people the one thing I want to stay

uninvolved in at least for now I may get involved but I've been told by so many people don't

get involved you know not good and they'll get the documents and it's getting and they're

getting them and they're great people so mr. chairman that was on July 1 the president

tweeted out this weekend I may have to get involved what's changed well just the slow

rolling by DOJ and FBI they can all get back to the big picture here which is there's there

clearly was shenanigans going on in this and how you open up a counterintelligence investigation

into a political campaign with no intelligence it looks completely abnormal to say the least

you've got that you know we've seen these these documents and we want them released

to the public and because we the public needs to understand that and make a decision whether

or not we're going to continue to operate use our counterintelligence capabilities to

target political campaign because if it's allowed to continue like it happened 2016

do you have a country that effectively Falls yes where you solidify our intelligence need

to get this needs to get this done sooner rather than later and that doesn't and I'm

sure you get asked about this too yes you also have the media that's in on this and

they totally ignored the big breaking news this week which is one of the top DOJ attorney

the assistant to sally gate the Deputy Attorney General and also feeding information into

now in this investigation your colleagues over on the Judiciary Committee have now subpoenaed

go-between Christopher Steele so what's Christopher still was terminated as a source for doing

all things like talking to the media at the behest of Glenn Simpson so remember he was

working for Glenn fence at fusion GPS who were working for the Clinton campaign Christopher

still was fired a lot of this information wasn't shared with the FISA Court especially

the fact that Christopher still was desperate that Donald Trump not become president after

that happened Bruce or one of the top lawyers in the Department of Justice kept continually

meeting and providing information from Christopher Steele to Lou the FBI this is this is just

madness the American people need to know it and I will tell you like I said in the last

segment the fact that the media is ignoring this is even more of a reason that we're gonna

have to have more information than usual Declassified we're gonna have to have I think an unprecedented

precedent amount of information be classified because the media is just not just not covering

this topic and it'll just kind of close it with this don't forget that Bruce ORS wife

so here you have information flowing from the Clinton campaign from the Russian likely

likely I believe was was handed directly from Russian propaganda arms to the Clinton campaign

fed into the top levels of the FBI and Department of Justice to open up a counter counterintelligence

investigation into a political campaign that is now polluted nearly every top official

at the DOJ and FBI of course in the last couple of years and quite frankly it looked to kind

of be in this part of the world where I'm at now right I mean the president has said

maybe he

would declassify this what's wrong with declassifying all of this information so the American people

understand exactly what took place because you're right this is an incredible story and

that is why we are doing it every Sunday morning to make sure the American people are informed

as far as what went on do you think the president will declassify this so that people understand

what took place I think he really has no choice because I will tell you you're gonna you're

gonna end up with a situation with half of America including many nearly every Republican

member of Congress we will have zero confidence in the Department of Justice and FBI and that

just can't be we have to have a strong Department of Justice and a strong FBI that stays out

of politics and and if we don't get that soon I think it's just gonna continue to deteriorate

well I think it's like the Speaker of the House Paul

Ryan said several months ago the Department of Justice an FBI need to decide whether you

thought they want to be part of the cleanup crew or the cover-up crew and so right now

I just want to be clear they are providing slowly but they are providing documentation

but but we're going to have to have all of this information be classified and and we

really we need an investigation into these top-level people as to how somebody concocted

the idea that it's okay to take information from one political campaign and use it to

open up an investigation on the other political on somebody else's opposing political party

right and you've said

many times on this program that there was zero evidence official evidence available

to launch an investigation into collusion between Donald Trump and the Russians there

was no evidence it was all based on that unverified - a real quick I'll go one step further in

terms of trusting the FBI and the DOJ again that's not going to happen until there is

accountability will there be accountability will we see prosecutions the only the only

way there can be accountability is one of them at a time that it deals with full and

complete transparency full sunlight on as many as a document that don't endanger national

security which you know from our from the from our committee members we've spent a lot

of the president we don't believe if you're going to jeopardize any sources or met

or method and I think people like I've said many times are going to be shocked as to what

woman's went into a FISA warrant against Carter page and even more importantly what did not

go into the FISA application not presented to the court involving the information that

they had on Carter a page I very very concerning not a way to run a counter intelligence system

in the United States or any country about that it's an extraordinary situation it's

amazing that this took place in America during a presidential election mr. chairman it's

Christopher Steele well I think what it really means I think it will look badly on the Department

of Justice and the FBI

on how they conducted this investigation right that's what we're trying to get to the bottom

that happened on how this investigation began it kind of sounds as if if you got if your

congressional investigators got the information regarding this secret source it sounds like

that might call into question the narrative we've heard so far it's like oh really it

didn't happen like that at all well I think if they were I think if the campaign was somehow

set up I think that would be a problem right if there was somehow some meetings that were

that occurred and all this was a setup because we have yet to see any credible evidence or

intelligence that led to the opening of this investigation

are you saying that it makes it sound like you believe Donald Trump was framed so look

I believe that they didn't have that well first of all I believe they never should have

opened a counterintelligence investigation into a political party counterintelligence

investigations are you know very rarely do they happen and when they do happen right

you have to be very careful because you're you're using the tools of our intelligence

services and relationships with other countries in order to spy on a political campaign probably

new legal developments on this Christmas Eve a legal battle against special counsel robert

muller apparently has now reached the Supreme Court political reporting an unidentified

firm presented an application Saturday to Chief Justice John Roberts asking for a stay

of a federal appeals court ruling that turned down the company's efforts to block a grand

jury subpoena for records bringing Ashley merchant on this federal white-collar criminal

defense attorney actually trying to quash subpoenas not

that unusual clearing entire floors of courthouses for the arguments over trying to quash subpoenas

and then the making of this them to the Supreme Court on Christmas Eve pretty unusual definitely

clearing the courthouse clearing the entire floor definitely unusual and an extreme step

telling us that they are very much trying to keep everything out of the public limelight

out of scrutiny but going to the Supreme Court on Christmas Eve going to the Supreme Court

a few days before the holiday and getting a stay that's not that unusual because what

the supreme court is basically saying they're not ruling one way or another this isn't indicative

of the

outcome what they're saying is we need more time we need everything the status quo to

stop we need it to stop and we need to have a few days to look at this and so they've

given a deadline for the parties to submit their briefs so they've got a few more days

to submit their briefs and then they'll decide whether or not they want to consider this

and the first step with the Supreme Court is going to be whether or not they even want

to review the district court's ruling whether they not they want to review this actual ruling

and then if they decide they want to review it then they can get into the merits and determine

whether or not they want to to

rule is we have learned so often trying to break down these rulings these filings involving

the Muller investigation it's often like looking at a white piece of paper with large black

boxes on it emphasis on large in that case any telltale phrases anything that you've

been able to pull out of any of these filings that strikes you that could give us some kind

of insight without speculation yes definitely when I reviewed the the pleadings and the

order actually reviewed the court to order and then I reviewed the Supreme Court documents

where they were asking for review and what I think is telling is that this foreign corporation

what they're arguing is they're arguing

that they're immune and the reason they're saying that they are immune is that their

own government's laws entitled to them to some type of protection meaning that their

own government's laws say that they are not subject to subpoena so what that tells me

is these are some type of documents most likely financial possibly banking something that

the government has a role in actually running this business this corporation so it's some

type of a government backed business much like in America where we have the FDIC we

have a banking system but we've also got federal government in our involvement in that and

you've also got some type of privacy laws that see whether P that the

piece that I see without speculating there are countries involved as adversaries if you

will to the United States whose government government core corporate in interactions

or perhaps much much tighter than what you suggest between the FDIC and the US government

for blood Muller picked this team of Democratic donors even Clinton's old lawyer at the foundation

Andrew Weissman and company for a reason he is caught he wants to hurt the president as

badly as he can that's why he's offering all these get-out-of-jail-free cards if you just

say whatever we want you to say okay I think we ought to quit talking about the Muller

investigation and start talking about the Muller Trump destruction project because it's

very clear that Muller and his left-wing lawyers are

methodically doing everything they can to destroy the president and in effect to create

a non Justice Department because this is not justice a non Justice Department coup d'etat

in which they undo the votes of the American people and they pile enough junk and then

it said that's what all the stuff is they pile enough junk around that they just gradually

overwhelmed President Trump and I think if you start and you look at everything they've

been doing and you said you know from day one this was never about Russian collusion

this was never about finding the truth this was about a methodical effort to destroy President

Trump by any means necessary and you look at some of the things they're getting indictments

on I mean again somebody goes and lies to the Congress that's stupid they deserve to

be indicted I'm not in any way defending Cohen but they were lying about stuff that wasn't

a crime it's the point that Annie McCarthy keeps making as a former Justice Department

lawyer that none of the underlying patterns were crimes people are allowed to be in business

people allowed to do deals people allowed to do lots of stuff and yet what you get of

course is the headline in the elite media that somehow this is another terrible blow

to Trump what it really is is further proof that Muller's interest is in destroying the

Trump presidency and your point is exactly right they had no reason to release this as

the president goes to an important meeting

in Argentine with 19 other world leaders I mean this is sort of like undermining America

for partisan reasons you've been in the minority in Congress and you were the speaker in Congress

a lot easier to be the speaker I'm just guessing although you take a lot more incoming let's

I don't see an agenda to serve the American

people well remember Shawn this is what people have to understand there's a 1923 law which

allows the chair of the Ways and Means Committee to request the tax returns of any American

so I can imagine a circumstance with the new chairman at the Liberal Democrat will exercise

his legal right the Internal Revenue Service will turn over the Trump tax returns which

are supposedly secret and the release of which would be a felony and then by some magic method

that all of us will be shocked at they'll turn out on page one of the New York Times

so I would not mean these people are playing for blood this is more like the terror in

the French Revolution than it is like traditional American politics they will do anything break

any rules and I think break any law if it will enable them to get Donald Trump let's

go to the border it was interesting during the campaign oh that they're just they're

just trying

to gin up racial tensions this isn't real they're a thousand miles away well they're

not a thousand miles away anymore and Border Patrol agents pelted with rocks bottles projectiles

and but using the same tactics that Obama used interestingly nobody cared then tear

gas to disperse crowds that were trying to break down the wall and and enter the country

and charge into the country illegally pretty severe crisis in Mexico then you have six

hundred criminals identified by the DHS and Mexican officials that have infiltrate the

caravan how do you put where do we go from here how do you stop that from happening

should ask their Democratic congressman or senator are you really comfortable with 600

identified criminals coming into the United States in just one particular wave the member

if they get to come in this time the number of people will be coming north in the next

six months will be amazing because people are down there watching to see what happens

and I think it's it's astonishing to me that Senator Schumer speaker Pelosi nobody's held

accountable when you get a report from the Department of Homeland Security that in this

particular group there are six hundred people who are convicted criminals now I suspect

the average American if that was presented to them which it won't be by the elite news

won't be on the New York Times page one but that's it that's an astonishing piece of data

so I think that the

president simply has to come back home keep driving the points he's the one person who

can break through the news blackout and get the truth I murdered typically a bad idea

to either a use the reconciliation process to get full funding of the wall over the president

to say I'll just shut down the government and just wait well I think the president's

already indicated what he may do is shut the border and and see how much how rapidly that
