Hi I'm Angie from America, Minnesota, and I came to St. Petersburg to Exlinguo
for two weeks to study Russian. Russian is interesting to me, it's just a hobby, but
I really wanted to study a little bit harder and to be in an immersive experience
and that's why I chose this school in particular because they allow you
to live with a host family, they help you organize a place to live and
it's a totally immersive experience and I really enjoyed my time here.
We had class every single day and it was only in Russian, which I loved,
the teachers were very positive and very supportive. I never at any time felt nervous to come to class
or nervous to make a mistake. They're always very supportive and helpful
so I think that my speaking skills really improved here and
they especially improved when I was walking on the street and I got to speak to
native Russian speakers and think like okay what did I learn in class today and
I was able to use my new knowledge in real-life experiences.
I am really happy that I chose Saint-Petersburg because the city has just some amazing history
and architecture and culture so not only was I able to immerse myself in the language,
but also in the culture and the history. The museums were fantastic,
there's something to do every single day and if we ever had any questions,
the teachers at the school were very helpful, they were very quick to offer advice,
offer recommendations, even as small as things like what should I buy for my family
back home as gifts, it was really really helpful. So overall my experience here
was wonderful I hope to come back in the future and I would recommend it to
anybody who's interested in an authentic Russian experience.
