Mini Lessons #6: Does that make sense? - Duration: 2:28.
how's it going y'all does that make
sense I hope you remember that question
from the last video and in this video
I'm really going to explain the meaning
of that question does that make sense it
means is the information sensible or
understandable I hope that you also
remember from the last video the meaning
of sense and that is a sensation or a
feeling but in the question does that
make sense we're not really asking does
that make feeling huh now in make sense
the word sense actually becomes more
like sensible so that has a totally
different meanings sensible means
logical or practical or reasonable so if
we are asking if something makes sense
we are asking if that something is
reasonable or understandable here's an
example of situation using make sense so
I go to a clothing Taylor and when I
want to get a piece of clothing made I
think about what I want and I try to
draw a picture to show my tailor but I'm
not a very good artist so I usually have
to draw the picture and show her and say
does that make sense I hope that example
makes sense to you check back on Friday

look in the post for the talk points
question and then answer that question
in the comments below and then you may

common confusing questions and you can
watch the videos from the first lesson
and do you remember from that first
video lesson i told you the list of
questions that i wanted to teach you in
this series right here so here are the
questions do you get it does that make
sense can you tell something how was
your week or how was your weekend and
how do you deal with stress you see that
today we are talking about the last
question on that list how do you deal
with stress and this is a big topic so
I'm going to teach it in a few parts in
this part 1 I will explain what stress
is and what it means to say I am
stressed out I often talk about this
topic with my friends and I think that
Vietnamese students want to talk about
it too but maybe you just don't know
the English phrases to use did you ever
hear or learn about this English
question before well I will try to help
you first let's talk about stress what
is it well i think in ping did you say
tongue tongue right yeah toy no I think
it I don't just kidding sorry I wish so
in English the definition of stress is
something that causes strong feelings of
worry or anxiety or pressure so stress
is a sting and that means it's a noun
but stress can come from many things
like things that are happening in your
life or things that you have to do that
make you feel really stressed out here
are some example sentences using
stressed out ahh I am so stressed out
because I'm going on a little trip with
my fiancé John and my friend bun bun we
are going to anchor wat in cambodia or
the Tet holiday and I have so many
things to do and prepare before we leave
so I am really stressed out and I'm sure
that you're really stressed out because
I know that the Tet holiday time is
really stressful for everyone in Vietnam
now you know the definition of stress
and what it means to use the phrase I am
stressed out now back to the question
how do you deal with stress to
understand that we need to talk about
deal with and we'll do that in the next
video on Friday PS you should also check
here on Thursday for a special throwback
third
they story time video about when I
visited my best Vietnamese friends house
hometown last year during the Tet
holiday that's going to be really fun

that you can answer to earn the top
points and get in the game it's not too
late to maybe win the January prize it's
going to be good get in this game Phoebe
are you so pooping on my shorts why why
Benny oh yeah then he says do it
practice your English answer the
question in the comment mm I'm sorry I
love him so much

Mini Lessons #2: Why these questions? - Duration: 1:01.
hate again so I want to explain why
these are the first English phrases that
I want to teach you I chose these
questions because I can understand how
they are a little confusing for
Vietnamese students hands maybe these
are not questions that you learn in your
typical English book real English can be
a little crazy for example in English
sometimes when you put a verb in a new
phrase it changes the meaning of the
verb get it for make sense or deal with
you see the verb but it's not being used
in the same way that you learned so of
course that is confusing I will explain
the meaning of these real English
phrases in the next videos please check
back here to the talk one Facebook group
every tuesday and friday so you can
learn these mini english lessons with me
thank you
