USA news on Youtube Oct 25 2017

Guys thank you and good morning everybody all Republicans now turning the tables on Democrats have a Russian collusion and multiple Clinton scandals

investigations piling up this hour

lawmakers focusing on the Obama administration

Hillary Clinton and former FBI director James Comey, so where does this all go?

It's a big part of our program today. Is we say good morning and welcome to America's newsroom

I'm Bill Hemmer Sandberg and good morning to you Bill. I'm Sandra Smith in short Congress has a lot of digging to do

Multiple new probes popping up in the last 24 hours

There are now five total active

investigations two House committees looking into the Obama Justice Department's handling of the Clinton email scandal

another House committee looking into that uranium deal with Russian investors under President Obama and both the Senate and House

investigation looking deeper into the notorious

anti-trump da CS speaking of that dossier the news broke 12 hours ago Fox News confirming that both the Clinton campaign and

the DNC helped fund that document

Meanwhile Republicans spreading across the media landscape last evening with all the same message. They want answers on

everything

We want to find out whether or not the FBI or DOJ or both had an investigation open investigation at the time

That this deal was approved basically it had to have approval from

Several cabinet level people including Secretary Clinton we want to know what those

Arrangements were what he knows that the public at large doesn't know and why he had this non-disclosure

Agreement in the first place is the FBI?

trying to not let

public know and the Department of Justice

Is not above scrutiny, and they're not above review

I've great respect for them

But they're not above scrutiny in 2016 and my opinion left a lot of unanswered questions for the department

congressman trey Gowdy

Prague Audi involved in almost all of these investigations is standing by but first we start with Peter Doocy

Live on Capitol Hill this morning Peter take us through all this

Sandra the congressional investigation into whether or not bribery or wrongdoing was ignored while the Obama

Administration was selling uranium to Russia was just announced yesterday

But Republicans here are already circulating a letter trying to show that they've been concerned about this for the last seven years the letter

addressed to then Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner

And it's dated October 2010 part of it says this quote

we believe the takeover of essential US nuclear resources by a

government-owned

Russian agency as would occur under the proposed transaction would not advance the national

security and interests of the United States for her part though former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says her hands are clean I

Would say it's the same baloney they've been peddling for years, and there's been no no credible evidence by anyone in fact

It's been debunked

Repeatedly and will continue to be debunked

Clinton's email server also getting a fresh look in a separate House Oversight Committee investigation announced yesterday including

Why Clinton was scrutinized more than Trump associates why the FBI decided not to charge Clinton?

Instead of letting the Justice Department handle that and the timing of everything

Oversight Committee Chair trey Gowdy says quote the committee's will review these decisions and

Others to better understand the reasoning behind how certain conclusions were drawn Congress has a?

Constitutional duty to preserve the integrity of our justice system by ensuring transparency

And accountability of actions taken but his Democratic counterparts on the Oversight Committee

Elijah Cummings and John Conyers are charging back

they say this new investigation is a massive diverse to distract from the lack of Russian of

Republican oversight of the Trump administration and the national security threat that Russia poses five new

investigations into Clinton or Obama

Almost a year after American voters

Decided that they want Prague Audi involved in almost all of these investigations is standing by but first we start with Peter Doocy

Sandra it's a lot Peter Doocy

Thank you

And as we mentioned Fox News now confirming that the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee

Paid for the research that led to the so-called Trump dossier a source telling Fox the group Fusion GPS

was hired to put together the unverified dossier by attorney mark Elias a lawyer representing the DNC and

Clinton teams the revelations come only days after multiple leaders from fusion GPS repeatedly pleaded the fifth and

Refused to answer any questions

before the House Intelligence

Committee as we mentioned my next guest here now deeply involved in that hearing and deeply involved in all the unfolding matters trey Gowdy shares

The House Oversight Committee and sir welcome back here on America start newsroom. We got a lot to go through here, okay?

I want viewers to be able to follow it there's a lot to take in oftentimes you come on the air

And you say I don't have the answers. I have the questions all right so here are my questions for you today

Specifically in the Trump dossier that broke last night is connection to Hillary Clinton in the DNC

What do you need to know about that now based on what you what information you have

Bill it is relevant who paid for the dossier

It's much more relevant who to relied upon it so my focus has always been whether or not the Department of Justice and the FBI

Relied upon an unsourced

CI document to launch a counterintelligence

Investigation so I want to know whether the nation's premier law enforcement agency relied on a document that looks like the National Enquirer

Prepared it well. Can you answer that question today? Did the FBI rely on it or not you know bill

I I think I can but but I want to be able to prove it and the fact that the Department of Justice

Not the Obama Department of Justice the Trump Department of Justice will not give Congress

Access to that information on says a lot about why we are looking into the department of justice and decisions

they made and did not make we should not have to ask twice whether or not the FBI relied upon a dossier to launch a

Counterintelligence investigation you should ask two F's have to ask once

But we have not had a question answered even after the election last year the FBI continued to pursue this

for a period of time

What what does your hunch tell you as to why you will not get answers out of this Department of Justice

Oh, well, I don't like to rely on hunches, but since you asked nicely

I will tell you I think the FBI is very interested in preserving its

Reputation and frankly I am too

I want them to be well regarded, but but they can make mistakes like everyone else and if they relied upon an unsourced unvetted

Document to launch a really important investigation and use it in court filings

Then I think our country is big enough to handle that truth, but but they need to share that truth

And if they didn't rely upon it then they need to tell us that but so far

They haven't said one way or the other. Yeah, why has fusion GPS pled the fifth sir

Usually people plead the fifth when they think the answer is going to get them in trouble

The reason the story broke last night is because we took him to court bill as you know they pled the fifth or some hybrid

Fifth first privilege we took him to court that we're going to lose in court

Which is why you saw the leak last night the Democrats have been fighting us

Every step of the way to find out who paid for the dossier and whether or not it was relied upon

Yesterday they went 15 years back in time to talk about apartment leases and bank loans

But they're not interested in who paid for the dossier and whether or not it was relied upon

So I'll be back this morning in a skiff on the Russian investigation trying to get answers. I have three more questions

Hope you can answer the following

BuzzFeed broke this story in the weeks before the election last October on the dossier

NBC News has a major stake in BuzzFeed by way of NBC Universal

hundreds of millions of dollars by way of its parent company Comcast

What do you think of that and would you expect some sort of

retraction or clarification from

The legal part of those way above my paygrade

I will tell you this it was a witness yesterday that we interviewed and hypsi whose name is prevalent in the dossier and of the

Allegations made against him in the dossier. He testified under oath under penalty of perjury

Every allegation was false

So if you're a private citizen and someone is making false allegations against you and is publicized

And I think all that millions of dollars you made reference to with NBC

And they come in handy when they go to court on the uranium deal what questions seven years later

Remain about that as it relates to Hillary Clinton or the State Department or former President Obama?

It's not so much about Hillary Clinton for me

It is about whether or not Sophia's which is the Committee on Foreign Investment in the US had access to all the information they needed

Before they made a really important decision from a national security perspective

again if the FBI has an ongoing criminal probe

involving a fact pattern

And they don't share it with the decision makers who are deciding whether or not to sell

Percentages of uranium leases in this country that we have a problem

And I want to know what the FBI and the DOJ knew and who they shared it with final question

Do you think Robert Muller is the right?

Person to head up this independent counsel well when you consider his background with the FBI and when you consider

who worked under him and

Who you're investigating today?

bill I think this interesting

This is a really difficult

political environment that we're in I'm not sure you could find anyone not named Jesus that everyone would be happy with I

actually

unsatisfied with robert muller

And if they're questions to ask him about other matters when this probe is over be happy to do it, but investigations

they should follow facts, and it really shouldn't matter who's leading them the facts are what direct it, so I

Know i'm in a small group among republicans, but I actually have confidence. He's gonna reach the right conclusions for the right reasons and

That he'll have credibility with the American people when he's done so as of today

You're okay with Robert Mullin correct as of yesterday today and probably tomorrow unless something

Changes may dissuade me from what I think is a lifetime of a pretty solid service to our country

Thank you for your time sir traitor. Sorry the Republic from South Carolina will talk again. Yes

Bill will have more on all this coming up in the next hour with Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan

He sits on the Oversight and judiciary committee is his take on the unfolding investigations coming up at 10:00

Last night ten minutes past the hour Sandra there's more and president Trump. Heading to Capitol Hill

Yesterday to eat lunch she'll remember and talk tax reform with Senate Republicans many were

anticipating fireworks because of the president's escalating feud with outgoing senators Jeff Flake and bob Corker

The latter accusing the president of debasing the nation with his behavior and later stated

He will not be running for reelection the president hitting back on Twitter

Writing this the reason flake and corker dropped out of the Senate race is very simple

They had zero chance of being elected now act so hurt and wounded but despite all this GOP infighting

Lawmakers described yesterday's meeting as cordial

It was upbeat

He was light-hearted

He was funny as hell he picked different people out of the crowding in including John and said very complimentary things

If you saw this guy if this guy shows up a lot his numbers going to improve. He talked about his successes

What he wants to do he was relaxed he was a man comfortable in his own skin, and I enjoyed it

We'll have more on this coming up with someone who?

that lunch South Dakota Senator

John Thune joins us 12 minutes pass now President Trump getting ready for a major trip to Asia

Next month as the US Navy sends a clear message to North Korea the new developments today with

Retired four-star general Jack Keane here live to talk about that and we're now learning

What the four US troops who died died in midair may have been doing when they were ambushed will break down?

reports of their pursuit of a top Isis leader and an American widow of one of the fallen soldiers breaking her silence

Opening up about her own phone call with President Trump

I'm very grateful that he called and he spoke to the kids

And I think just the excitement from that made it a little better even a feel just for a minute

President Trump issuing an executive order on extreme vetting for Refugees the president signed it yesterday as his four month suspension on

Admitting refugees expired the order targets people trying to come to the u.s.

From 11 different countries the president has capped refugee admissions at forty five thousand for this fiscal year

Although the actual number allowed into the US could be much lower

Sixteen pass the next week early November President Trump is in Asia big trip there. It is Japan and South Korea and China Vietnam

US Navy now positioning three aircraft

carrier strike groups in the western Pacific ahead of this trip the USS Nimitz is joining us s Roosevelt and

Reagan already in the region, what does this mean Fox's military analyst General Jack keen let's get to this

What we're learning about Nazir in western Africa three carrier groups now. What do you read into that as a military man?

Well first of all two carrier. Groups is unusual. Three is very very unusual

then it certainly is

even with a presidential visit

We don't normally do something like that

But we I think it doesn't mean that we're going to go to war it what it does mean is

Its part

I think in my judgment just thinking about it is it's part of the overall strategy dealing with North Korea the

The president's strategy with what his national security team is to isolate North Korea and apply

Maximum pressure and to do that they said we're putting the military option back on the table

And then the main effort is to is to use diplomacy to cut off all trade with North Korea with

Countries 20 plus countries, and that's happening. They use China as a lever against, North Korea, and that is happening and

Also to keep convincing them that the military option is not rhetoric as it was during the Obama administration

That it is absolutely a real

Serious option that the United States will pursue. Yeah, so I look at it as part of the deterrence

That the military option is credible

Etc it doesn't mean that in the next two or three weeks. We're going to start

Some kind of military action against it. You know as you know mattis's running the shell on so many of these matters here now and

This is quite a message move to western Africa now now reports emerge

That these US soldiers were after an Islamic leader

in these year that would seem to make sense as to why they would have

these meetings in certain villages

Specifically Tonga Tonga in the day of October 3rd sir. What do you know? What can you add on that report?

Well, I really don't know anything more, but I mean just like anybody else

I think I'm delighted that general Dunford came forward and gave the American people what information he had to reduce some of the speculation

That's out there and certainly a lot of the misinformation, but when he used the term reconnaissance mission

You know that intrigued me a little bit because that the fact is is that?

We're training and assisting the Nigerian military

so they can go out and do missions and this was a

reconnaissance mission with the purpose of which a reconnaissance mission is to gather intelligence

And he didn't suggest it was a tribal engagement

mission

Which is to go out to villages and meet them and see what their concerns are etc?

he said

Reconnaissance and so there may be some validity to this report that as part a part of the mission was to determine

Where was this particular lead in others?

We also have found out in the last couple of days that this

This patrol that took place with at least the Americans participation in it they were new to the theater

This is their first a second patrol that meant that meant that they were new to that partners

And they were also new to the environment to a certain degree and that may play a role in in

Broncos Player Just Gave Every Kneeling Player AWESOME Ultimatum Right Before They Step On

His Field For This Weeks Game.

Derek Wolfe, defensive end for the Denver Broncos, has spoken out to the rest of the

league when he responded to the Tweets by President Trump which urges teams to fire

players who protest the National Anthem during games.

Trump specifically stated that teams should fire any player who is a "son of a bitch"

when they protest America, the soldiers who fought for their freedom to protest and annoy

almost every fan spending their hard earned money on the NFL.

Wolfe issued a statement through Josina Anderson, who is from ESPN, and Wolfe's statement

was a lot different than the protests and whining you might see coming from other players.

Wolfe spoke out against the protests of the National Anthem.

Wolfe spoke out in a way that supports America, our military, and even the fans of the greatest

sports league in the world.

Wolfe's statement explained why he stands for the National Anthem and then provides

a very serious question to the overpaid athletes who feel entitled enough to disrespect the

country by kneeling during the anthem.

Wolfe asked, not in these words, why people stay here if they can't appreciate the country

and respect the reason why they're earning millions by playing a kids game.

"I stand because I respect the men who died in real battle so I have the freedom to battle

on the field.

Paying tribute to the men and women who have given their lives for our freedom is why I

stand.

But everyone these days likes to find a reason to protest and that's their right.

It's America and you are free to speak your mind.

I just feel it's disrespectful to the ones who sacrificed their lives and it's maybe

the wrong platform.

But like I said to each their own it's AMERICA!

The greatest country in the world and if you don't think we are the greatest country

in the world and you reside here, then why do you stay?

A lot worse places in the world to call home.

Proud to be an American."

American soldiers have lost limbs, lives, family, and friends fighting for our American

right to enjoy our freedoms in this magnificent country.

Protesting the flag falls under freedom of speech and expression, but does that mean

it's right to do?

Absolutely not.

Protesting the flag is a smack in the face to everyone in our country who loves America

and appreciates all the military has done for us.

Standing for the National Anthem during a football game is the ONE thing that unites

everyone in a stadium.

Once the National Anthem is complete, the fans can return to hating each other for liking

opposing teams.

For one moment during every National Football League game – there is a time when everyone

is literally on the same page.

It doesn't matter if the fans absolutely hate each other – they will rise and show

respect to the country, each other, and everyone else for those brief few moments because they

remember how lucky they are to live in America.

Then there's the overpaid and entitled athletes who think they're making a statement.

They're not.

They just look like disrespectful America hating clowns.

Sure, it's their American freedom and right to protest, but no one likes it.

It's not catching on.

It's going to cost them money or their jobs – ask Colin Kaepernick how it worked out

for him.

He went from earning millions playing football to what?

What does he even do anymore?

He's not getting massive paychecks from the NFL, that's for sure.

He can't even get on a team because the fans dislike him and owners are likely worried

about losing money.

Plus, he's only as good as a backup quarterback and no team will pay big money for a player

to sit the bench or protest, causing bad press for their team.

At the time of this article being written, the Baltimore Ravens were getting destroyed

by the Jacksonville Jaguars by a score of 44-0.

That's embarrassing to get blown out that bad in the NFL.

The Ravens had a chance to sign Kaepernick and chose not to.

They would rather lose by 44 points than sign someone who will embarrass their entire team

in the process.

And then their players engaged in the pathetic #TakeAKnee protest and look what happened

– blown out by 40+ points (at the time this was written).

The NFL owners are going to learn a hard lesson when they're losing money because fans finally

had enough and truly boycott.

If there was ever a time to quit watching a bunch of racist America hating jerks, it's

now.

If you're a millionaire athlete paid to play in the NFL, which is a form of entertainment,

then just do your job and keep the politics out of it.

Football is entertainment and politics is not on the script.

Keep it that way.

What do you think about this?

Farm Companies In Zambia - Duration: 2:16.

Large agricultural companies are making big profits in Zambia, but a new report says

Vulnerable rural communities are paying the price with small farmers having to give up their land

Many of them are women as Katia Lopez Haru Yan reports

This community has been farming for years it depends on the land to survive

But recently many have been forced out by farm companies

And if I learn that the workers driving two bulldozers came to the house and said you have to move from here

It's a situation

That's becoming more common and Zambia hoping to improve the economy the government allowed commercial enterprises to expand in

Areas including the Saranga district which is known for its good soil and water

These satellite images show just how quickly domestic and foreign form companies moved in to produce corn wheat and soy?

Some of which is sold abroad but families say they're being pushed from the land

They've worked on for generations Felicia says now her children don't have a proper home probably today

We were told we only had two weeks and we had to leave that's how we ended up here my children

They sleep in that tent

Human Rights Watch released a report

forced to leave commercial farming and displacement in Zambia

That examines the impact these businesses are having our rural families

It says women in particular are being blindsided by the problem twily record Toma develop

Wheat women used to grow plenty of crops and keep it in our storage bins

It's a big difference the river was closed, and we could draw water. We grew a lot of cassava and sweet potatoes

Rules to protect farming communities in Zambia already exist including having families decide whether they want to leave

proper resettlement options and

Compensation, but the people here say they're not being enforced

Until I'm glad you know I was taken to court because these companies want the land where we live

This community says forming is about much more than crops. It's about tradition

Land family

And their very livelihood

600,000 have crossed into Bangladesh in the last two months

Meanwhile aid groups are asking the international community for more help as conditions at makeshift camps deteriorates

tandra Chaudhary reports from Cox's Bazar

Just try and imagine you're trying to take care of the health care facilities for the population of the city of Washington DC

That is about the size of population of Romania refugees who crossed over to Bangladesh in recent days from Myanmar

Plus those who arrived there in recent years that would make up close to 1 million the size of the population were living in squarely

Refugee camps all across now there just isn't enough hospital beds in this part of cots bazaar

There's one government-owned hospital with about 200 beds another in ok about

about 60 beds and filled hospital recently opened by red Christian and Red Cross together

Which has a 60 bed hospital there needs to be a lot of in-house patients

Center where patients would be actually admitted at most of the clinics we see our mobile clinics now here

we can see women friendly space which supports gender-based violence survivor as well as

maternity issues health related problem for women

lactating problem mothers how to take care of their children etc in the long run the government needs to find a solution

Refugees who are staying in various camps and major challenge injured for local and international aid agencies?

As well as for Bangladesh government in coming days

And will now speak to had Jesse. He's the secretary-general of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies

He's joining us as well from Cox's Bazar

Thank you for speaking to Al Jazeera

So you've been meeting with some of the rojan jyu in fact tweeted that you met a little boy who broke his leg when his

mother dropped him fleeing

Myanmar can you just tell us what more you have seen

First of all we were overwhelmed by the sheer number you know of people

We talk about

600,000 people who arrived over the last two months

This is they arriving not by car. They are not arriving by plane

They've been walking and when they arrive they find themselves in very heartless situations

And then they all gathered you know in makeshift

You know in a very very tiny space that cannot really contain such a number of people and this is not only

those numbers

But the numbers you do not tell the stories the full stories of

The women that have lost their babies and and their children and their husband along the way

This children that have experienced things that child should have never seen

Including the young boy that we are talking about it is a crisis really of children

300,000 children children caring for children

children carrying children

children carrying bags of rice you know making up every day trying to survive and then looking for food and the

circumstances that I wrote
