She can't shake them off! British Taylor Swift lookalike gets MOBBED by the singer's fans who think she's really the pop superstar

A British Taylor Swift lookalike only discovered she had an uncanny resemblance to the pop superstar after a case of mistaken identity led to her being mobbed by adoring fans.

Student Laura Cadman, 20, from Newcastle had been a fan of Taylor Swift for 10 years and when she attended the singers concert during her 1989 World Tour in 2015, she was bombarded by other fans, also known as Swifties.

One fan even approached her for a picture, but then heard Laura speak.

She said she hated me because she thought I was Taylor then heard me talk and realised I wasnt her, she recalled.

She said that I shouldnt do that because it was tricking people, but this confused me because everyone at the concert was dressed up as Tay - its what people do at her concerts.

At the 1989 concert in Manchester, so many people approached me and asked for pictures.

I took pictures with a bunch of people and they were so cute.

It was lovely meeting and chatting to people about Taylor because I actually went to the concert alone and I felt really connected to all of the Swifties at the concert.

Instagram snaps show Laura wearing Taylor Swifts signature red lip pout, sporting a choppy blonde haircut and revealing a similar love of cats.

But shes had to prove that she is not in fact the singer, by taking a picture holding up her British passport to her face.

Further images show her sharing a similar fashion sense with Taylor as she is pictured wearing a black crop-top and blue glittery skirt akin to the singers outfit during her Rock In Rio Festival show in Las Vegas in 2015.

Despite being a big fan of the singer, Laura insists she hasnt deliberately copied her look.

She explained: I am naturally blonde, reasonably tall and reasonably slim.

The rest of my Taylor Swift look just consists of classic red lipstick and eyeliner, which I personally think is the most flattering makeup on me.

If Im feeling unconfident on that day, Ill always refer to one of her classic looks or if Im particularly stuck for a special event, I love looking at her red carpet looks.

Her style is very timeless and because we have a similar look, I know that whatever suits her will most likely suit me.

I think shes really beautiful; its a huge compliment.

I think we resemble each other a bit.

But shes obviously quite a lot older than me so I definitely think I look a lot younger.

Ive been to her concerts and always keep up with the latest news.

Im a big fan and cant wait for her next album.

I really hope I can meet her someday and tell her how much her music has helped me..

Throughout Lauras adolescent life she has been faced with comments about looking like Taylor.

In high school a few people mentioned it in passing but I didnt really see it, she said.

At prom lots of people said that I looked like Taylor in my pictures.

I picked my dress because it kind of resembled her blue dress from her Our Song music video.

Then after that I just got comments more often.

I guess its because I was looking more grown up.

They often do a double-take and say woah, I thought you were Taylor.

I get a mixture of reactions; Ive also had people take photos of me without my permission, which is unnerving.

My mum gets bored of cashiers pointing it out because it happens all the time.

She says she wants people to see me for me and appreciate that Im pretty because Im me, not because I look like Taylor.

I often have people looking at me or talking about me which isnt the best and I also get quite a lot of mean comments on my Instagram profile, which was hard to deal with at first but now I dont care as much.

As well as studying at university, Laura also chairs a feminist society group and volunteers for the sex education organisation Sexpression that teaches young people about consent and healthy relationships.

Her resemblance to the Shake It Off chart-topper has also helped her connect with other women and further herself in business.

Its definitely the ultimate icebreaker, she said.

People usually mention it initially and it always gets the conversation going.

Its also given me the opportunity to work with a few businesses and has allowed me to use my small platform to talk about things that I am passionate about.

I am very much my authentic self, but even if I purposely tried to look like her - who cares? It doesnt hurt anyone.

Judging someone and formulating an opinion about them based on their physical experience isnt constructive.

Amazonian river is so hot that it boils victims alive | news 24h - Duration: 7:28.

Amazonian river in the heart of the rainforest can reach temperatures of 100°C and is so hot that it BOILS its victims alive

It was once thought to only exist in legend, but a terrifying river that can boil its victims alive has been discovered in the heart of the Amazon.

The river was brought to the worlds attention by a scientist who believed that the legendary geothermal formation couldnt possibly be real.

Now, he has shared video clips which explore the regions breathtaking uniqueness in a mini-documentary.

WHY DOES THE RIVER BOIL?  Part of the river in Mayantuyacu boils because of fault-fed hot springs.

When rain falls on the surrounding area, it gathers into the porous sedimentary rock.

As it move through the rock, it is warmed up from the primal heat of the Earth.

Eventually, it comes across a large thrust fault, or crack.

As water falls behind it, it forces the now heated water to ascend along the fault-line to surface as a hot or warm spring. .

Andrés Ruzo explored the river, in the Mayantuyacu region of Peru, in a short film produced by Great Big Story.

The name of the river, Shanay-timpishka, means boiled with the heat of the sun in the language of the areas inhabitants.

The geoscientist says the heat of the air coming off the river is so intense that you can feel it burning in your nose and your lungs.

Speaking in the footage, Mr Ruzo said: The hottest temperature Ive measured is 210°F (100°C).

To put that into everyday terms, the average coffee is roughly 130°F (55°C).

Its hard to physically imagine that much hot water.

You stick your hand in, and you will see second or third degree burns in a matter of seconds.

Ive seen a number of animals fall in, everything from birds to reptiles.

Complex organisms like us, we dont do well at those high temperatures.

We literally start to cook on the bone..

In a book he wrote on the subject, Mr Ruzo said that the river fascinated him growing up.

As a PhD student in geophysics at Southern Methodist University in Texas, Mr Ruzo wanted to find the river for himself.

Despite his scepticism, he found himself hiking into the jungle in 2011, guided by his aunt, far from the he nearest volcanic centre.

He said he was mentally preparing to behold the legendary warm stream of the Amazon - but what he saw was very different.

THE LEGENDARY BOILING RIVER   The river has long been a legend in Peru, but when geoscientist Andrés Ruzos heard about it, he thought such a phenomenon couldnt possibly exist.

Mr Ruzo first heard about the Mayantuyacu river when his grandfather told him a story about how Spanish conquistadors killed the last Inca emperor.

He said that after the murder, the conquistadors headed into the Amazon rainforest in search of gold.

When they returned, the men spoke of a terrifying experience that involved poisoned water, man-eating snakes and a river that boils from below.

Mr Ruzo discovered the four mile boiling river in the sacred geothermal healing site of the Asháninka people in Mayantuyacu in 2011.

The river has long been a legend in Peru, but when the geoscientist heard about it, he thought such a phenomenon couldnt possibly exist.

He believed that it would require a huge amount of geothermal heat to boil even a small river, and the Amazon basin is far from any active volcanoes.

But then, Mr Ruzo saw the legendary boiling river with his own eyes for the first time in 2011.

At its widest, it is 82ft (25 metres), and around 20ft (six metres) deep.

The river boils because of fault-fed hot springs.

For some reason, the river has escaped scientific scrutiny, but Mr Ruzo is on a mission to change that and he is now trying to save the natural wonder.

The surrounding forest has been destroyed by logging practices, and if action isnt taken, the area could vanish entirely.

Twelve years later, at a family dinner, Ruzo heard the river mentioned again when his aunt said that she had visited it.

Cheech the Texas rescue dog's goofy grin gets him home | news 24h - Duration: 2:33.

Cheech the Texas rescue dog's goofy grin wins him a legion of fans on the internet and a new home

A rescue dog whose an adorable smile won him an army of admirers since he was brought into an animal shelter has found a new home.

The City of Waller Animal Shelter has received a flood of offers to adopt Cheech since they posted photographs of his toothy grin on their Facebook page.

They have now announced that Cheech has been housed with a woman called Carrie, who lost her beloved dog to cancer just last week.

Carrie and Dusty visited Cheech today, and Cheech wanted nothing but to cuddle with her and Dusty, said the shelter.

Congratulations on finding your forever home Cheech, we are very happy that youre going to the perfect home.

Cheech needs this family as much as they need him Nothing but smiles here today yall!.

Staff were unsure how to handle Cheech at first as baring teeth is usually a sign of aggression, said Leah Sipe, a Waller police officer who is director of the shelter.

The smiling scared a couple of the volunteers as they mistook it for snarling, and they were mortified when I stuck my hand in his cage on the day we got him in.

Hes an awesome little guy!, she said.

The shelter has only recently been set up on the site of an old jail and has its grand opening to the public will take place on November 12.

It was founded by first responders and residents in the city and is the only animal shelter in the county.

Prior to opening its doors animals taken into the city pound were kept for 72 hours before being put down but now they can be found loving homes.
