let's we have a chat about the tacticon flip up back up iron sights now these

are an interesting pair of sites to take a look at not only because they're a

best-seller on Amazon as of January 2018 but also because they sold at a

significantly lower price point than a lot of the more well-known brands out

there for back up on iron sights and this no doubt had an influence on why

they're a best seller but I was quite curious as to what people had to say

about them so the context here is I've already done the research for you and

what follows is an effect like a sum of all the reviews so hopefully this will

save you a bit of time and allow you to get to a point where you can make your

own informed judgment call as to whether there are match for your needs and

requirements or not so we're going to run through the positive reviews first

now the highlights of the positive reviews were basically three topics and

to put this into context about 90% of the reviews were sort of four or five

star reviews - first up people expressing that they love the fact that

there's a lifetime warranty which is obviously a big plus second of all a lot

of comments along the lines of look these are great sights for the money the

price is definitely unbeatable solid set of sights for the money good value for

money all these sorts of comments 101 different ways but the key thing is

people very happy with what they're getting for the price so a value

proposition in summary number three it was noted in the advertising material

that this is a veteran owned business and a lot of people expressing

they're happy to support such a business things to consider now the two things

I'm going to talk about here interestingly we're noted by both

positive and critical reviewers alike the only difference is whether they

consider that an issue or not hence why this is under the things to

consider category this is my neutral category and you can make your own

judgment call the first thing that came out is the science they describe has

been a bit chunky in the base meaning that they're wider on your rail secondly

many people noting that the release button and the deployment is not always

as smooth as they would ideally like so you can make your own judgment call on

those two topics critical reviews now they made up a little bit under 10% of

the reviews but there's about four different things that came up

consistently when I was looking at the critical reviews the first thing as was

noted by a lot of critical reviewers that the site's don't fold down 100%

straight with your rails as other back up iron sights do the second point that came

up is the fact that on deployment it seems they typically will go past the

vertical position slightly forward with many critical reviewers noting that you

have to give them a little bit of a push with your finger before you feel them

lock into place now in doing the research I wasn't able to establish

whether this was an across-the-board issue or whether it just affected some

people the fact that only you know 10 percent of the reviews are critical

would perhaps suggest to me that it doesn't affect everybody or perhaps it

does but you know that's the positive reviewers just weren't bothered by it but I

do sort of lean towards thinking it's not everybody because I would have

thought more positive reviews would mention it even even if they weren't

bothered by it so that is one issue that is noted thirdly under critical reviews

let's see a lot of people in different ways describing that they think and the

sights are quite loose in it and there's a lot of play in them various people

saying even if you tighten them down as tight as you can go this you know still

quite a bit of movement but one gentleman who said he's not

going to war with them it wasn't really an issue for him he put a little bit of

electrical tape on his rail and that sorted out the problem with them but

suffice to say this comment did come up frequently in the critical reviews and

as an issue that critical reviewers we're not happy about obviously one of

the side effects of having a bit of play is for many people that they said this

does not give them confidence and maintaining their zero with having that

movement there last but not least critical reviewers criticizing the build

quality of the sights some expressing or telling stories of it breaking after

limited usage or you know such as having more play or not locking up when

deployed and basically expressing that they felt these were a price point PR

sites that we're nowhere near the quality of the more expensive sites and

this is where you're going to need to make your judgment call taking all this

feedback into consideration as to whether the quality then proportion to

the price is what you're looking for keeping in mind the criticism is about

10 percent of the reviews whereas you know 90 percent we're happy with what

they were eating for the money so they pretty much sums it up

The Democrats have been hard at work protesting President Donald Trump's State of the Union

address this week, even though he has yet to deliver his remarks.

It would seem odd to be so against a speech which you haven't heard, but no one ever

accused a liberal of having much common sense.

As those on the left continued to whine about the president's upcoming address, former

House Speaker Newt Gingrich went on live television just to rub salt in their wounds.

While some Democrats in Congress have done their best to turn this year's SOTU into

a political charade by planning to fill the balcony with so-called "Dreamers," other

representatives have refused to attend the annual speech altogether.

Democratic Rep. Frederica Wilson, for example, said on Monday that she would not be "honoring"

President Trump with her presence.

I'm sure he doesn't mind, as there isn't much honor in her presence, to begin with.

Democratic Rep. Frederica Wilson won't be attending President Trump's first State

of the Union address Tuesday because she doesn't think he deserves to be honored.

"To go would be to honor the president and I don't think he deserves to be honored

at this time, after being so hateful towards black people and then black countries,"

she told CNN on Monday.

Indeed, everyone seems to be finding their own "creative" way to stick it to the

president, nevermind the fact that he couldn't care less about their petty political stunts,

as he's got more important things to worry about, like terrorism and North Korea and

free trade.

In the midst of all this political fodder, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich doubled

down on his faith in President Donald Trump and mocked Hillary Clinton for appearing in

a comedy sketch at the Grammy Awards on Sunday.

"[Trump's] not going to give up putting America first," Gingrich said Monday on

Fox & Friends.

"He's not going to give up fighting for small business, fighting for deregulation,

fighting for lower taxes.

But I think he has learned over the last year," he continued.

"He's had a year now to be president," added Gingrich.

"He's clearly learned a lot of lessons.

There's no reason for him to know coming into office, the differences between a billionaire

in business and being the President of the United States.

I always said he is a very smart guy.

He didn't get to be that wealthy by being stupid.

He didn't beat 16 Republicans in the primaries by being stupid."

Then, just to twist the knife, Gingrich took a brilliant shot at Hillary Clinton and all

of her cronies.

"Just think about this weekend, Hillary Clinton on TV sadly reading out of a weird

book, while Donald Trump is preparing a state of the union," he said.

"That's not a world anybody on the left thought was possible.

And so, I think he can afford to be generous and say, let's find a way to work together."

Newt Gingrich was referring, of course, to the cameo appearance Hillary Clinton made

at the Grammys over the weekend.

Far left artists took turns trolling President Trump while

reading highlights from Michael Wolff's discredited "Fire and Fury" novel on

the Trump White House.

How pathetic.

I wonder what Hillary Clinton will be doing as President Donald Trump addresses the nation

which he has greatly improved over the past year.

Getting drunk?

Crying on Huma Abedin's shoulder?

Perhaps both.

Any way you slice it, the situation is pretty darn tragic for her, but she deserves every

bit of it.
