Trump grants first international TV interview to 'Apprentice' winner Piers Morgan - Duration: 1:12.

Trump grants first international TV interview to 'Apprentice' winner Piers Morgan

Trump will be interviewed by British commentator Piers Morgan in his first international TV

interview since he assumed office, the Daily Mail reported.

Morgan, who previously won the "Celebrity Apprentice," will interview Trump during the

World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Morgan has in the past praised Trump.

Last year, he said he genuinely liked Trump.

"I have known him through ten years, and saw from 'The Apprentice' he can be charming,

funny, smart and his judgment is spot on," Morgan said at the time.

"He loved drama and arguments and making the right decision and being popular."

Morgan has also been critical of some of Trump's actions.

Last November, he blasted Trump for sharing videos from "disgustingly racist far-right

extremists" after Trump retweeted videos that claim to show Muslims engaging in violent

acts.

According to the Daily Mail, Trump and Morgan talk every three or four weeks.

The interview will air Sunday on ITV.

The 10 most amazing lines from Donald Trump's impromptu press conference - Duration: 3:19.

The 10 most amazing lines from Donald Trump's impromptu press conference

Just before jetting off to Davos, President Donald Trump stopped by a sit-down that chief

of staff John Kelly was having with reporters -- and immediately started talking.

It was classic Trump who, despite all of his rhetorical emphasis on "fake news," is an

avid consumer of the news and relishes the back-and-forth banter with reporters.

Trump, as he does, touched on a wide variety of subjects -- from Kelly to the special counsel

investigation to FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe.

And more!

I scoured the transcript and flagged a handful of the most notable lines from the President.

They're below.

1.

"How's he doing, OK?

I think by the way he's doing great."

Trump wanders into a meeting between his chief of staff and a bunch of reporters.

First question: You guys like this guy?

So, so Trump-y. 2.

"Fake news yesterday, or two days ago.

I rarely put out a tweet, praising somebody, but only when they get a false story."

Trump is referring to a Vanity Fair piece published Monday that alleged Kelly and the

President were on the outs.

Also, Trump "rarely" puts out a tweet "praising somebody."

Same, honestly.

3.

"I don't even know if he saw that stuff, but I put it out."

If a tweet falls in the forest...

4.

"Nice to see you all.

The economy is doing very well."

Non sequitur, Donald Trump.

President Trump, non sequitur.

5.

"I'm going to Davos to get them to bring back a lot of money."

Wait.

They give away money at Davos?

So that's why people love it so much!

6.

"Thank you for some of the nice things you've said over the recent past."

I'm not sure which reporter Trump is referring to but it doesn't matter.

The point here is a) he is hyper-aware of media coverage of him and b) his feelings

about reporters are entirely tied to whether or not they have written nice things about

him of late.

7.

"We're going to get the wall, we're going to get great border security."

Well, I'm convinced!

8.

"Over a period of 10-12 years, somebody does a great job, they've worked hard, it gives

incentive to do a great job."

BIG news here.

Trump is saying that Dreamers will have a path to citizenship after "10-12 years."

People like Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, and Dick Durbin, D-Illinois, seized

on this comment as a sign Trump is committed to finding a workable solution on the immigration

issue.

But, if past is prologue, Trump could well say something totally different within a day

or two.

9.

"If they do a great job, I think it's a nice thing to have the incentive of, after a period

of years, being able to become a citizen."

While floating a path to citizenship is obviously a big deal, notice the fuzziness built into

Trump's answer.

How is the judgment of "do a great job" made?

And by whom? 10.

"Yeah, I might do that.

I might do that."

This is Trump responding to a question on whether he might extend the DACA deadline

if Congress can't reach a deal on the program by March.

Classic cliffhanger for the reality TV star.

Stay tuned for next week's episode!

Theresa May 'appalled' at Presidents Club event but defends minister who attended - Duration: 2:24.

Theresa May 'appalled' at Presidents Club event - but defends minister who attended

theresa May has said that men must stop treating women as objects in the wake of the

Presidents Club scandal but defended one of her ministers who attended the event.

Mrs Mays families and children minister, Nadhim Zahawi, was ordered on Wednesday night

to explain his attendance at the men-only fundraising event at which female "hostesses"

were allegedly groped and propositioned.

Mr Zahawi was summoned to Downing Street to explain to the Chief Whip his version of events

surrounding the gala.

But Mrs May, speaking in Davos, Switzerland, as she attended the World Economic Forum,

refused to directly criticise Mr Zahawi as she said the Government would continue to

fight to erase and eradicate misogyny.

The Prime Minister said she was frankly appalled when she read the report of the

Presidents Club event.

I thought that that sort of attitude of the objectification of women was something

that was in the past, that we had managed to overcome, she told Bloomberg.

Sadly what that event showed is that there is still a lot more work for us to do and

I will continue to work, as I have done in my time in politics, I will continue to work

for a point where we really can say that women are respected and accepted and treated as

equals.

Mrs May rejected the suggestion that the event demonstrated a need for new laws to be introduced

to tackle harassment.

She said: Sadly I think what we saw from this Presidents Club is this is about attitudes

and it is about saying that actually women are not objects just to be used by men.

Actually, we are equals, we have our own position, our own abilities and that should

be respected.

I will continue to work, I have done it in politics, I have done it in business, to

ensure that people recognise the value that women can bring to business, can bring to

politics, but that just in general that attitude that says that women are objects that we erase

and eradicate that attitude.

It is so important that women are able to take their place as equals.

Mrs May was asked if she believed keeping Mr Zahawi as families and children minister

sent the wrong message.

She said: I understand that Nadhim left the dinner and was uncomfortable about what

happened at the dinner and left the dinner on that basis.

We need to ensure that what we are doing collectively, because we focus on one event

but this is actually about a wider issue in society.

Dems eye GOP rep's seat after sexual harassment allegations - Duration: 2:35.

Dems eye GOP rep's seat after sexual harassment allegations

Democrats have their eyes on the swing district held by Rep. Pat Meehan (R) as the embattled

lawmaker struggles to respond to sexual harassment allegations ahead of the 2018 midterms.

Meehan, once a member of the House Ethics Committee, now faces an ethics investigation

of his own after the New York Times disclosed that he used taxpayer money to settle a sexual

harassment complaint levied against him by a former aide.

Meehan has denied the harassment charges and is still running for reelection.

But Meehan has hardly put the issue to rest with interviews claiming he and his much-younger

aide are soul mates and admitting that he lashed out when he found out she had a

boyfriend.

Meehan could have faced a difficult reelection even without the harassment allegations.

Hillary Clinton won his district during the 2016 presidential election.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court is forcing lawmakers to redraw the congressional map,

a prospect that could hurt Meehans chances.

The accusations have only compounded those concerns, casting doubt on both Meehans

political future and Republicans ability to hold the seat.

Meehan, in my humble judgment, was not likely to lose reelection even given the Democratic

wave, said Terry Madonna, a political science professor from Franklin and Marshall College

in Lancaster.

Now, if he runs and the district lines says the same, all bets are of.

Meehan broke his silence this week in a series of interviews that saw him both issue a denial

and confirm significant portions of the Timess initial story.

Meehan told the Philadelphia Inquirer that he acted selfishly when he found out

the aide was dating someone else, admitting that he developed an affection for her.

And he said that he told the aide, I was a happily married man and I was not interested

in a relationship, particularly not any sexual relationship, but we were soul mates.

Meehan blamed lashing out at the staffer about her new romantic partner on the stress

surrounding his vote on the GOP plan to repeal ObamaCare, which occurred around the same

time.

Meehan went on to say that he felt that the aide had invited him to share his feelings.

Republicans in Congress have called for further investigation by the Ethics Committee, expressing

concern about the substance of the allegations while not calling for Meehan to quit outright.

House Speaker Paul Ryan (Wis.) has called on Meehan to pay back taxpayers for the settlement,

and his office told The Hill in a statement that any further action or comment will

come pending a full and prompt investigation by the Ethics Committee.
