Stand Up America... We've got to come together...
Well I woke up Sunday Morning
In a state of gratitude
Till I turned on the morning news
Saw people acting fool
Burning Flags and Kneeling Down
During the Star Spangled Banner Ya'll
I got you tell you... Really made me sad.
And I yelled Shame to my Left and Right
Cause there's a soldier on the battlefield
Fighting for their lives
All to blame
Whether Black or White
But look how far we've come together ya'll
Can't you see the light?
Got home early from work
Had a grateful attitude
Then I turned on the evening news
President was talking fool
There were racists in the streets
Media allowing them to speak
Giving them a voice just makes us mad
First amendment sometimes sad
Shame to my left and right
When there's soldiers on the battlefield
Fighting for your rights
All to blame whether black or white
But look how far we've come together ya'll
Can't you see the light?
See the light...
America
Some things should be sacred
That's all I'm saying
And if you get down on your knees
I sure hope your praying
Giving thanks because we're free
Giving hope to those in need
Because we can
