My name is Christine Dorchak and I'm the Ppresident and General Counsel of
Greyhound protection group GREY2K USA Worldwide I'm here today with my best
friend Gina! Gina is a rescued greyhound she was bred in Texas and raced nearly
200 times in the state of Florida. I brought her home two years ago on
Mother's Day and now she is safe but so many greyhounds are not and that's why
I'm asking for your help today. Today is Giving Tuesday and all donations made
will be doubled. That's right. two of our longtime supporters. one in Florida and
one in New Jersey. will match your gifts today dollar for dollar up to $30,000.
You know 2017 was a watershed year for greyhound advocacy. Tracks closed or
announced their pending closure all across the globe. Thankfully one of these
tracks is the Canidrome, China's only legal dog track. The facility has been
ordered to close and we are now working to fund the release of hundreds of lucky
greyhounds to adoption groups all across Europe. Closer to home here in the United
States we are working on a bill to phase out dog racing at 12 dog tracks in the
state of Florida. Proposal 67 is the most important piece of legislation for
greyhound protection ever filed. I cannot emphasize the importance of this bill. If
voters approve it on the ballot in November 2018 two-thirds of American dog
tracks will close and we will have the opportunity to save thousands of lucky
greyhounds. So please in honor of Giving Tuesday and to help us save
