Trump tweets support of Second Amendment after Stevens' call for repeal

President Donald Trump took to Twitter early Wednesday to defend the Second Amendment just

a day after retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens called for its repeal.

Stevens, 97, wrote in an essay on the New York Times website that a repeal would weaken

the National Rifle Association�s ability to �block constructive gun control legislation.�

Trump, who has in the past appeared to change positions on tougher gun laws, took a firm

stance in the tweet, and issued a warning if Republicans come up short at the polls.

THE SECOND AMENDMENT WILL NEVER BE REPEALED!� he tweeted.

�As much as Democrats would like to see this happen, and despite the words yesterday

of former Supreme Court Justice Stevens, NO WAY.

We need more Republicans in 2018 and must ALWAYS hold the Supreme Court!�

Repealing the amendment would be extremely difficult.

An amendment to the Constitution can be proposed only by Congress with a two-thirds vote in

both houses, or by a constitutional convention called for by two-thirds of the state legislatures.

The amendment then has to be approved by three-quarters of the states.

Stevens was on the losing end of a 2008 ruling in which the high court held that the Second

Amendment gives individuals the right to own a gun for self-defense.

He had previously called for changing the Second Amendment to permit gun control.

Stevens said the decision in that case, District of Columbia v. Heller, �has provided the

N.R.A. with a propaganda weapon of immense power.� Stevens retired from the court in

2010, after more than 35 years.

In his essay published Tuesday, Stevens talked about the �March for Our Lives� events

on Saturday that drew crowds in cities across the country.

Stevens said the demonstrations �reveal the broad public support for legislation to

minimize the risk of mass killings of schoolchildren and others in our society.�

He said the support �is a clear sign to lawmakers to enact legislation prohibiting

civilian ownership of semiautomatic weapons, increasing the minimum age to buy a gun from

18 to 21 years old, and establishing more comprehensive background checks on all purchasers

of firearms.�

But Stevens called on demonstrators to �seek more effective and more lasting reform.�

�They should demand a repeal of the Second Amendment,� he wrote.

Other demonstrators Saturday, in Phoenix and Salt Lake City, called for gun ownership rights

to continue being protected by the Second Amendment.

Another tip is to drink water, a secret

is that i add a squeeze of lemon

because it benefits your skin

and the digestive system in the morning.

The second secret is The eye patches

you guys can do it, let's watch !

add green tea to water then cut some cucumbers

add them all to the blender and blend.

when they're well blended

cut the cotton in half

and add them to the solution.

leave them until wet

then put them in a plastic bag into the freezer.

they stick you don't have to sleep

so that it wont move

you can use your phone, text

read a book, listen to music and dance

they just stay there

i used cucumbers because it reduces dark circles

green tea and the cold patches

reduces the puffing of the eye.

put them for 15 minutes

then take them off ! if you guys want wash your face

quick info let them cool before you put them on your face

Another tip that i use is Rose water

you can spray it in the morning, at night

or if you want to feel fresh spray it on your face

it reduces acne

keeps your skin glowing and relaxed.

another tip that you guys might think is weird and old

is organic soap. yes ORGANIC SOAP

it's very gentle on your skin

it balances your skin if oily or dry.

wash your face in the morning and at night

another tip if i didn't want to use the eye patch

i use Lancome cooling eye gel

for fatigue the cool part that this gel has

you can massage your eyes in a circular way

so that blood would flow under your eyes.

i talked about Vaseline in my previous video

put the product on the brush to brush your eyebrows

if you guys don't want to put makeup on

and you can also brush you lashes.

in summer i use SPF 50 Avene my favorite

and in winter i use clinique SPF 20

since it is not that sunny

the last thing i'm going to talk about today,

although i u se a lot of products, pick the ones that you feel suits you the best.

The last tip is Clarins for lips

it keeps them moisturized, glittery

and it's cute !!

I want to add something makeup doesn't make us beautiful

Joe Arpaio suggests he'd revive 'birther' theory if elected to Senate

Republican Senate candidate and former Maricopa County sheriff Joe Arpaio suggested that he

would revive the debunked claim that President Barack Obama's birth certificate is fraudulent

if he's elected to the Senate.

At a conservative convention last week, Arpaio recalled introducing President Donald Trump

at a campaign rally where the former sheriff mentioned illegal immigration and the "birther"

theory -- that Obama was not born in the US and therefore was ineligible to be president.

"I don't talk about it anymore, until I become the US senator ... It has something to do

with a document," Arpaio said at the Western Conservative Conference in Phoenix, according

to a video posted to YouTube Saturday by Tru Conservative TV.

"If I asked you guys � I'm a nothing now, but if I were still the sheriff, I could ask

for your birth certificate," he said.

"So, I'm kind of dropping that right now."Arpaio then claimed that he proved "100%" that Obama's

birth certificate is a "fake document."

Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961 and released copies of his birth certificate in April 2011.

Trump had publicly questioned Obama's citizenship for several years before saying in a news

conference during the 2016 election that he believed the nation's first African-American

president was born in the United States.

Arpaio has touted "birtherism" in the past, even launching a five-year long investigation

into Obama's birth certificate he concluded in 2016 even after Trump backed down from

the claim.

Arpaio claimed that the certificate was forged and cited a lab in Italy and handwriting expert

in Hawaii, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Back in January, a day after announcing he's running for Senate, Arpaio argued on CNN that

Obama's birth certificate was a "phony document."

"No doubt about it, we have the evidence, I'm not going to go into all the details,

yeah, it's a phony document," Arpaio told CNN's Chris Cuomo on "Cuomo Primetime."

Trump pardoned Arpaio in August after the sheriff was found guilty of criminal contempt

for disregarding a court order to stop racially profiling Latinos.

Arpaio is one of several Republican candidates running to fill the vacant seat left by outgoing

Arizona Republican Sen. Jeff Flake.

An unheard-of problem The President can't find a lawyer

Several top US law firms have left President Donald Trump with few places to turn for legal

help in the Russia probe.

Five large law firms are passing on the opportunity to represent the President after a shakeup

last week on his private defense team and as he anticipates giving possible testimony

to special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.

Well-known Washington lawyers cited several reasons for declining the President in recent

weeks, according to multiple sources familiar with their decisions.

Among them, Trump appears to be a difficult client and has rebuked some of his lawyers'

advice.

He's perceived as so politically unpopular he may damage reputations rather than boost

them.

Lawyers at large firms fear backlash from their corporate clients if they were to represent

the President.

And many want to steer clear of conflicts of interest that could complicate their other

obligations.

With a figure who is as polarizing as the President, it makes the decision about whether

to represent him a more difficult one," said Philip West, chairman of large Washington

law firm Steptoe & Johnson.

The firm was among several to decline to represent Trump last year.

"Any large law firm has clients that have very strong feelings."

Even in a city with such a sizable legal industry, so many top lawyers and large law offices

with white-collar and national security specialists have already been hired by witnesses, subjects

and companies involved in the Mueller probe.

Thus, few in town can take new clients at the center of it.

The result is a previously unheard-of Washington problem: The President of the United States

is struggling to build an experienced, large legal defense team as the special prosecutor

digs in to his campaign and administration.

His official legal defense team consists of two lawyers, Ty Cobb and Jay Sekulow, neither

affiliated with a traditional law firm.

The latest to turn down the invitation, Dan Webb and Tom Buchanan of the law firm Winston

& Strawn, said Tuesday they "were unable to take on the representation due to business

conflicts."

Webb and others at the firm represent the Ukrainian oligarch Dmytro Firtash in a criminal

money laundering case in Chicago, where he continues to face possible extradition from

Austria.

Firtash was previously a business contact of indicted former Trump campaign chairman

Paul Manafort, making the Ukrainian potentially connected to the Mueller probe.However they

consider the opportunity to represent the President to be the highest honor and they

sincerely regret that they cannot do so," Webb and Buchanan's statement said.

"They wish the President the best and believe he has excellent representation in Ty Cobb

and Jay Sekulow."

While Sekulow, the leader of a non-profit religious advocacy legal group and a talk

radio personality, is Trump's sole remaining private defense counsel, Cobb works within

the White House as a special counsel overseeing the Russia probe response.

Illegal immigrant Luis Bracamontes smiled again Tuesday as a California jury handed

him a death sentence following his conviction in the 2014 killing of two sheriff's deputies,

but this time, the deputies' families gave the cold-blooded killer a taste of his own

medicine.

"I was smiling back at him purposely," Jeri Oliver, Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputy

Danny Oliver's mother, told The Sacarmento Bee after court.

Debbie McMahon, the mother of fallen Placer County Sheriff Detective Michael Davis Jr.,

agreed �to smile at him for a change."

The convicted cop killer made headlines during his trial in January when he smiled and went

into a profanity-laced rant in court, saying, �I wish I had killed more of the mother-------s,�

and promised to �kill more, kill whoever gets in front of me ... There's no need for

a f---ing trial."

He also shouted in court that he was guilty and asked to be put to death.

The defense tried to convince the judge to enter a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity.

After hours of deliberation Tuesday, a Sacramento Superior Court jury ruled that Bracamontes

will get what he asked for and receive the death penalty for his heinous crimes.

As the verdict was being read, the illegal immigrant from Mexico was silently clapping

and smiling, sometimes at the families of the slain deputies, the Sacramento Bee reported.

Bracamontes went on a multi-county killing rampage in 2014, murdering Oliver and Davis.

The ruling comes just days after Janelle Monroy, his wife, was sentenced to nearly 50 years

in prison for helping her husband to murder the deputies.

The jury dismissed her argument last month that she feared Bracamontes would kill her

if she did not help him.

were reluctant to speak out during the trial, but on the verdict day, many finally voiced

Placer Sheriff Devon Bell told the Bee.

Sacramento Sheriff Scott Jones said the verdict �is a step along the road toward justice.�Despite

the sentence, however, it remains to be seen whether Bracamontes will actually be put to

death.

The last time California executed an inmate was in 2006.

An average waiting time for the execution is nearly 18 years due to legal challenges

to the state�s methods of execution.

The convicted cop killer will return to court in late April for a formal sentencing by the

judge.

Families of the killed officers will address the court and Bracamontes.

Something odd is going on with Corey Feldman.

The star stated on Twitter that he was attacked Tuesday night in an incident the actor called

an attempted murder. He claimed the LAPD was investigating the incident as an "attempted

homicide" but police told Fox News that's not the case.

Feldman wrote in all caps early Wednesday morning, "IM IN THE HOSPITAL! I WAS ATTACKED

2NITE! A MAN OPENED MY CAR DOOR & STABBED ME W SOMETHING! PLEASE SAY PRAYERS 4 US! THANK

GOD IT WAS ONLY MYSELF & MY SECURITY IN THE CAR, WHEN 3 MEN APPROACHED! WHILE SECURITY

WAS DISTRACTED, W A GUY A CAR PULLED UP & ATTACKED! I�M OK!"

In a follow-up tweet, Feldman claimed the LAPD was investigating his case -- a claim

the LAPD denied to Fox News.

Officer Luis Garcia told us that while Feldman was stopped at an intersection Tuesday night,

the former child star stated that an unknown male made a stabbing motion at his stomach

and fled. He then drove himself to a hospital. Upon the investigation [it was] determined

there were no lacerations to his abdomen," Garcia said adding that Feldman could not

describe his alleged attacker or the weapon to police.

Feldman, who has made headlines recently for speaking out about alleged pedophiles in Hollywood,

said on Twitter he was targeted.

"I HAVE HAD MOUNTING THREATS ON ALL [social media] PLATFORMS BY THIS VILE 'WOLFPACK' & THIS

IM SURE IS A RESULT OF THOSE NEGATIVE ACTIONS! I HAVE REASON 2 BELIEVE ITS ALL CONNECTED!

Feldman's hospitalization comes six weeks after the 46-year-old actor was cleared in

an LAPD sexual battery investigation from an alleged incident last year.

Feldman has publicly stated he was molested by powerful people in the entertainment industry

when he was an '80s child star. He has said his close friend ? the late Corey Haim ? was

raped when he was a child by the same industry predators.

Feldman claimed on "Dr. Oz" in November that Jon Grissom was one of his abusers. He also

told Megyn Kelly that convicted sex offender Marty Weiss harmed him. However, the LAPD

dropped an investigation into his claims later that month.

The actor expressed concerns for his security at the end of October. As part of an Indiegogo

campaign, he asked for donations to help pay for security.

"Ever since I discussed the fact that I have this plan, my life has turned to utter chaos,"

Feldman said in October. "I�ve been silenced my whole life, but just over the past few

days since I made that announcement, I�ve been arrested, I had a near-death experience

last night where I felt like I was almost going to be killed. Two trucks came speeding

at me at the same time on a crosswalk."

He added, "I�m very alone. I need to protect myself and I need to protect my family,�

he said. �I need additional security and I need a legal team to help represent me so

that I can fulfill this mission."
