Hi, I'm Hiroshi Ishii from MIT Media Lab.
I'm running the Tangible Media Group for 22 years.
We continued to exhibit RADICAL ATOMS, our future vision of the materials -
which are computational, physical and dynamic -
at Ars Electronica Center.
This year we exhibit three new pieces
called KinetiX, aeroMorph and Cilllia.
They show the latest advancement of the new materials.
Why we keep inventing new materials?
The reason is simple:
I don't want the artist or designer to paint with brush or ink
given by their mom or dad, or teacher, or companies.
But I want you to create new materials
which really enables new creative original expression.
So, inventing the new materials,
transforms you to one of the new rebels of the freedom of expressions.
I hope you will see that once these new materials
are being cooked and invented
using a state of art digital fabrication and computer simulation technology
at Ars Electronica Center, RADICAL ATOMS exhibtion.
Thank you!
