I hope your vacations are going good or at least were good !
Personnaly, I just come back from my trip to New York
where I stayed one week
And I bring back some stuffs that I wanted to show you
So, let's get started !
First, you need to know
that I didn't find clothes that I really liked
So I just bought 1 or 2
First is this T-Shirt
It's from the brand Adidas. It's black as you can see
It's written New York on it
And, even if I bought it in a small size,
it's still very big and long on me
So I think this is a man T-Shirt
but it doesn't matter because it's more comfortable to wear
Next I went to Forever 21
and I got 3 things from here
First are those socks
They are white with a panda head drawn on it
Next are those socks
with some cute pears on it, really pretty !
The last thing
I got here was
this black faux leather choker
and it just has a small gold heart detail in the middle
Next, I'll show you
the knick-knack I got
First, I picked up some key chains
For example, these 2 which look like ball
They're quite unique I think
and we also got simple ones
with the letters NY
Also, I bring back this taxi
to remind me that I was in NY
In it, there is the Brooklyn bridge
and the Statue of the Liberty
I found it cute to put it somewhere, like in my desk
I also bring back 2 purses
because I used to do that on every town I go
especially when it's far away
The first one looks like this
It's black with NY written in red in it
and there are other famous places also written
The other one is also
black but is rectangular
there is also written NYC in it
And finally for the small things
are postcards
So there is this one
So this was all the small things I got
Next I went to MAC
I went 2 times and I bought 3 lipsticks
The first one is
"Ionized Iris"
from the Metallic Lips collection
It's a very very bright fucshia
I found it very cool and pretty so I picked it up
I don't exactly know how it will look like on the lips but it doesn't really matter to me
Next I got, always from the same collection,
the shade "Rose Dipped". This is a lighter pink with gold reflects
more wearable on a daily basis
I also found it pretty
Next, I went to MAC a second time
(the MAC in the Macy's)
and I bought a third lipstick, the "Girl About Town"
it's also a fuschia, very nice color
and i'ts a Amplified
so this texture is not matte in the lips
but very pigmented and creamy. I really love this color
Also, what is great with the Amplified
it's even if your lipstick goes away, it leaves a stain behind
I think this lipstick is gonna be very pretty in the Fall !
Next, I went to
to Sephora, of course.
And I think it's on this shop that I spent the most of money or at least in one go
First I bought
the cleanser from the korean brand Neogen
It's a foam green tea cleanser
I already bought and use one bottle of this product
I even think I talked about it in one of my empties videos
But it's quite difficult to buy this product in France so when I saw that the Sephora carried this product, I got it right away
I also bought
this cleanser from the brand Sephora
I think we have this product in France and it's the charcoal one
Nothing really crazy about it
I also picked up this hand cream
from L'Occitane
It's the cherry blossom one
I needed a hand cream and I didn't have one so I just got this one because I didn't find another one
I also bought
the "Blur Stick" from Milk Makeup
I heard a lot about this product on Youtube
and so I really wanted to try it myself
I saw it in the store and I tried it in my hands
and my skin became so smooth. I was really pleased so I got it
Next product is the CC cream
from It's Cosmetics. It looks like this
it's in the shade light
I heard
that it has really good coverage (I was looking for this)
and it even has SPF 50+ in it
so it's really a good thing to protect your skin from the sun. I'm really excited to try it !
After, I bought a lot of products
from the brand Tarte
because we don't have this brand in France
and this was the brand I really wanted to try !
First thing I got was
from the Rainforest of the sea collection
It's a Color Splash lipstick in shade "Miami Vice"
It looks like this. The packaging is gorgeous, a blue watermarble
very pretty and unique !
The shade is like this, a red lipstick.
The bullet is darker than the color on the lips
I find it very "chic" on my hands so I chose this one
Next, always from Tarte and this collection
I bought the Aqua Concealer
It looks like this
I have it in the shade Fair-Light
I was looking for a concealer and they recommanded me this one
So I'll try it and let youknow what I think about it !
Final product from Sephora
always from Tarte
It's the Amazonian clay full coverage foundation
it's a foundation with very good coverage
it's also very good for oily skin and stays in place for hours
I have it in shade fairly light beige
It's exactly what I was looking for so I got this
Next, let's continue with something different from makeup !
I went to Amazon books !
And I got 2 books ! The first one is "The Young Elites"
By Marie Lu
The second one
is "Cinder"
by Marissa Meyer. For the 2 books, they were recommended to me
in the store
they said they are very good so I chose them
Next, not makeup
I went to Muji !
It's a brand that makes stationnery
which is from Japan
They sell pens, books etc and even clothes
And I just pickep up 4 pens : a black one
a pink, a blue and a purple one
the purple is my fave from them all !
The colored ones are thinner than the black one
Then, I went to a pharmacy
as the Americans called them
but it's not a pharmacy like us French know
because here they sell food
makeup ...
So I bought some makeup
First I bought this nail polish from Essie
( this is my favorite brand for nail polish)
The shade is called "410 wrapped in rubies"
It's a red with gold reflect
I found it very unique and pretty, and I think it'll look great in the fall !
Next I repurchase my favorite concealer
It's the "Fit me" from Maybelline
in shade 15 "Fair"
I bought it because it's very hard to do so in France
So I didn't hesitate when I saw it in the USA
Next I picked up the mini facial scrub from St Yves
the apricot one. I heard a lot of good things about it on Youtube
especially in Canada
so I really wanted to try it
but I just found it in small
I also got those top coats
from the brand Sally Hansen
the "Insta Dry" one
I bought them to replace the top coat I'm using from the brand "Poshé"
The Poshé one is really really great, very efficient
I'm very satisfied about it but it is very
hard to buy it in France and I was in search for another good one
so I thought that the Sally Hansen
could be great to replace it
So that's why I got it
Last thing I picked up in this pharmacy was this
It's the "Lash Blast Volume" from Cover Girl
It's a black mascara but not waterproof
I wanted to test this brand
that we don't have in France yet and I tought a mascara could be a good idea
Then, if you know me well
and if you already saw some of my videos
you already know that I LOVE Korea, K-Pop, K-Beauty ...
So, I learn that there was Koreantown in NYC
so we went there obviously
we went to Koreantown and there were lots of korean shops of course
And I made some purchases here
First thing I got here
was a newspaper
a simple one but this is in Korean
so I found this
funny to bring back with me even if I can't read it or understand it very well
Then, there were shops
that sell everything. And there was a paper shop
Here, I chose a calendar
It's a BTS calendar
it's a K-Pop boys band
I follow them since 3 years now
and I really really love them. It's even my favourite K-POP group
When I saw that they sell calendar
I looked if there was one
with BTS. But there wasn't one available
But just before I left the store, they just put some back in the shelf
So I didn't hesitate and gabbed one !
Then, there were small stores
that sold Korean skincare and beauty products
Those products are difficult to find in France so I took the advantage of it
Firstly, I went to The Face Shop and I got 3 things
I picked up this cleanser
It's the "Herb day 365 cleansing foam" and the scent is the acerola
I didn't needed this
but I really liked the scent of the product so I got it anyway
I also got this liptint. It's the "Watery Tint"
in shade 02 Coral. Here it seems very bright orange
but on the lips it's more red
So it's prettier I think and more wearable also
Last product from here
was this sponge. Normally, you find this on the Korean cushions
it's difficult to find those things sold individually
or it's expensive. So here I Grabbed one
because I used to apply my foundation with this and it gives me a very natural and nice finish
Next, I went to another small shop
which sold big korean brands like Etude House
Innesfree, all the brands popular
I picked up this product
It's the cleanser balm from Banila Co
it's a really famous product in Korea and I really wanted to try it
So when I saw they had this product, I test it in my hand
and, indeed, it erases all the makeup swatches that were in my hand
even the stains from the liptints ! Usually it's something really difficult to do with a simple makeup remover !
I was really impressed so I got it without any complaints !
Also, I picked up in the same store
2 individual eyeshadows from the line "Look at my Eyes" from Etude House
The first one is the "RD304". It's a pinky copper
well pigmented and very pretty
The other one is
the "BE103"
which is a gold with shimmers
This one isn't really pigmented but it looks pretty
over a matte Brown eyeshadow !
Next, I went to another small shop where there were famous brands too
I went here 2 times
The first time I chose some products
and I didn't buy one specific product and I regretted to
So I went back the next day
to buy it ! Otherwise I would be very sad
I'm gonna show you all that now
First product is the "One Step Pimple Pad" from COSRX
I already knew this product
and I used up one pack of this. I finished it just before we went to NYC
and I really liked how it worked with my skin
So I repurchased it because I couldn't find it in France anymore
Next, always in the same shop
I bought 3 liptints !
2 are from the brand Peri Pera (a famous brand in Korea)
First one is from the line "Airy Ink velvet"
I have the shade 04
"Beautiful Coral Pink". It looks like this
It's a pretty nudy-pink
not too bright, very comfortable on the lips
Because for this collection, the texture is like velvet
so they are matte
but not drying on the lips
I really liked this color : perfect for everyday use !
I picked up another one but from the collection "Ink Velvet"
It looks like this, it's the shade "10 Ooops fuschia"
it's more matte than the previous one
the color is so vibrant and bright
you can clearly see it on the lips
It stays also longer on the lips
I really liked this product, the packaging was cute
and it's also a brand difficult to buy so I don't hesitate
We went a second time to this shop
Because I wanted this product so badly
It's the "Wine Liptint" from Château Labiotte
I have it in shade RD02
It looks like a wine bottle
It's a brand which is famous in Korea
I really wanted to try it
I swatched this liptint in my hand and I tought the coloçr was very unique for a liptint
and I would be very sad if I couldn't buy it
Finally, I have some things left to show you
always korean products
But I bought those things in Times Square
I think showing you the shopping bag you'll recognize immediatly what it is
Yes, there was a Line Friends shop in Times Square
I went there 3 times in total
So the Line friends are korean characters
they are very famous in Korean and even in Asia
I was very happy to see this store and very surprised too
The first time
I just got a look of the products they sold
But I received this thing for free
it's for calling the taxis on the street
Next, the second time I got this pencil case
The character is Sally
with differents poses
perfect for back to school !
And we finally went there a third time, just before we left
I really wanted to buy a key chain. So I did this
I bought the one with Choco
It's a bear with a ribbon
and next to her, there is a little apple for NYC
and the american flag also. I found it very cute
That's all I bring back from NYC !
Just to say a few words about my trip : I really enjoyed it
It was so great, so amazing
The city is beautiful, really
It's true that everything is very big
but it's not something you can see really often either
I liked this trip so so much ! I also enjoyed seeing Koreatown
because, of course, I like the korean culture
So, seeing korean everywhere, heard people speaking it
in the shops for example
or even listening K-Pop, was really a good experience
So I will keep a very good memory from it
I think that you need to go to NY if you want
it's something that you must see once in your life
But it's a bit important to know and be able to speak / understand a bit of English
it'll be more comfortable for the trip
But either way, go to NY if you really want !
