12 WEEK - FOURIE FITNESS CHALLENGE - Duration: 13:59.

Hello Everybody!

Hi Guys!

and welcome back to FourieFamCam

yes

the moment has arrived

the big announcement guys

the big, big, big announcement

we're going to be doing something huge

for the next 3 months

its basically going to change our lives

well it sure will

it sure will

so stay tuned after the intro and we'll tell you all about it

Hi there we're high school sweethearts

that got married really young

and had, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 children

I used to run and workout but

with the two new babies I kinda lost time

and I lost my body

well he thinks he has it hard

I'm the one that had the babies

I just don't feel like its my body anymore

we've decided to challenge ourselves

in a 12 week fitness challenge

we are not fitness gurus

we don't have those super sexy bodies you see on Instagram

but we want to see if normal 30 something year old parents

like us

can get into shape

look good, feel good

in 12 weeks

join us on this fun fitness challenge

and lets see how we do

Its called the Fourie Fitness Challenge

why Fourie?

because we are the Fouries

and you're on the FourieFamCam

I'm scared

I have been actually feeling very anxious about this

for about the last three weeks

I've been putting off filming this little video

for quite some time

it is a nervous time because

we're putting so much of ourselves out there

a 100 percent honest

a 100 percent open

and not hide anything

and that is pretty darn scary

because you show me one person out there

who doesn't have insecurities

we're real people

guys would you take off your clothes for YouTube?

basically that's what we're going to be doing

every week

we're going to be getting close to naked

every Friday

with our weekly weigh-in

why would we weigh-in and show our body weight

something a woman never reveals to anybody

why, why would we do that Louise

are we stupid?

yeah I think so

I think so yeah thats it

as from this Friday we are starting a 3 month

Fitness

Challenge

stop

I want to emphasise

three months

not three weeks

three days

three hours

which yes, all sounds a lot more appealing

its 12 weeks

we have to lose 12 percent of our body weight

yeah

can we do that?

can we do that

well we're sure as hang gonna try

we sure are

because if we don't

we are going to have to do something super embarrassing

super scary

as like a forfeit

yeah

when we do our final weigh-in

in the United States

o.k

if your only goal was to lose weight

it would be super easy

just stop eating

thats too easy

we don't want to just lose weight

o.k

because that can also get pretty unhealthy

what we want to do

is we want to lose fat

unwanted weight

first of all

we don't want to lose muscle

so you've got to do that gradually and carefully

o.k

you don't want to lose weight too fast

because then you start having problems with like

stretchy skin marks and things

and its not maintainable

as soon as you start eating you're going to put that weight on again

well thats the thing

we're wanting to make a lifestyle change

absolutely

half of the exercises out there at the moment

I have never even heard of

things have changed since I was a young guy

and used to go to the gym to you know crank out those weights

a lot has changed

so we're going to be learning a lot of this stuff as well

and hopefully we're going to be inspiring some of you

to join us

and learn some of this stuff as well

but first before Claude continues at all

I want to just stop

and I want this in super bold

super high, super highlighted letters

we are not fitness experts

I am not even fitness knowledgable

let me just put this out there

Louise what do you hate about your body

o.k Claude asked me this question

about 2 minutes before we started filming

and funny enough I could think about

20 things that I don't like about my body

but the hardest thing was finding 1 thing

that I like about my body

and that is the truth

yeah

thats the real truth

o.k so I'll tell you what I don't like about my body first of all

I have Cankles

cankles

what are cankles

calves that just go right down into your ankles

but like, there's no

ankle

I mean lets just be honest

theres no shape or form to your

like calf muscle

to the lower leg no

its just pretty much

calf foot

calf-foot

calf into the foot

something I don't like about my body is

when I put on weight

I put on weight here on my chest

I've got a large chest area

and when I was younger I used to lift weights and that

and that was the area that grew the fastest

it was weird

I had a really nice looking chest

you've always had a broad chest

but

when I stopped it just seems like thats the area

that got the fattest fasted

and so its very uncomfortable

because you've got like those man boobs

and when you're running down the street

its like blue eyes

so that is my embarrassing body part

o.k so this is how its going to work out

o.k there is going to be a new Playlist

and you're going to see a variety of video there

every single week

every Friday is a weigh-in

where we weigh ourselves and see

are we meeting our targets

are we losing weight

so we will weigh in on camera

Um there could be weeks where we didn't lose weight

where we gained weight

and so we will basically do a little sit down

with a cam

and have like a

high points low points

like a truth cam session

yes

confession session

high points low points

what we maybe did wrong

if we cheated

that kind of thing

yeah

and we're going to weigh in in our swimsuit

so you can also sort of see

hang on

o.k

things are not looking to good there

then every week we're gonna have fitness vlogs

and these vlogs are going to follow us around

what we're eating

what we're doing

just to keep you informed

and maybe inspire you as well

we're also going to have

workout videos

so things that we've never tried before

exercises that we're going to try

yoga, I've never tried yoga

listen I am about as flexible as a street pole

I'm serious

if I have to bend down too low

I will topple over

you know

and if I have to get into certain squaty positions

you're going to hear sounds that you wish you never heard

this is going to be super funny

and super interesting to see us try some of these things out

guys I'm not trying to be like some sort of fitness guru

I am coming to you as a thirty something

father

and a mother of five

o.k

and I'm saying listen

I want to change my lifestyle

I wanna change my body

and I don't want to do it in a way that I've got to change my whole

daily routine

I don't want to start counting calories

with a calculator and putting things in my

there is a lot of that going on and thats great

and that works and thats fine

but also paying for like expensive diet clinics

trainers and all these different things

thats expensive

I know

we want to try do this on our own

from home

a lot of this we want to do from home

and like I said before

we don't have a lot of time

this was my night last night

last night I woke up I don't know how many times

because the one baby woke up and screamed and cried

and then the other one started laughing in his crib

and then he laughed and giggled the whole night

and he was awake in the middle of the night

in the middle of the night he was awake

I think they woke up like 5 times

this morning I take out the one baby

who's peed the cot

finished

its like sopping wet

o.k

I take him I put him in the bath

I go to shave

thinking o.k I'm going to film my little video today

turn around

and there is a doodi in the bath

theres like a big fat doodi in the bath

so this is my life guys

this is what we go through

so if we can manage to fit in workouts

if we can manage

to change our lifestyle

with eating habits

to feel more energized

after getting on average every night about 4 hours of sleep

guys if we can do that then you can do it

there are no excuses

there are no excuses

and we're not saying listen you have to have an awesome body to be beautiful

you already are super beautiful

we love you guys

but

are you happy with yourself

yeah

are you happy with your appearance

do you think that you are the best that you can be

so I am just looking to raise my goals

to be the best that I can be

and to try my hardest so that other people can see

that it is possible

and so its not just aimed at parents

but its aimed at anyone who has a limitation of time

and I think that pretty much includes everybody

I think so

o.k guys I know this was a lot of information

but we basically wanted to inform you

get you guys ready

for this Friday

we start this Friday 1st of September

it doesn't matter if you watch this video

weeks, months or years from now

you can start the challenge at any time as well

you can follow the challenge and see if it works for you

another thing I want to add

is we've thrown in a little like small marathons

as a mini goal

yes

and so we're going to be doing the Venice, Italy marathon

its a 10km marathon

and thats going to be smack in the middle of this challenge

we're going to also have to be training for that

yes

and you're coming with us

you're coming with us you're going to be there running with us

on camera though

you can like be

put on your VR and you can be like running at home

ooh wow look at that wonderful church

and look at that gondolier

well for all of our European viewers

there are still a few more weeks to enter the marathon

a few more spots open
