The Airbus A380 is a double-deck, wide-body, four-engine jet airliner manufactured by European manufacturer Airbus.
In this video you will see the flight from Frankfurt to Miami on lower deck of this aircraft.
Now you can see how is the baggage loaded into the airplane.
Couple of words about Frankfurt airport: it is very big airport, it has terminals with letters from A to Z and in each terminal there are up to hundred gates!
For example our gate was Z66.
Airbus A380 is the world's largest passenger airliner, and the airports at which it operates have upgraded facilities to accommodate it.
It was initially named Airbus A3XX and designed to challenge Boeing's monopoly in the large-aircraft market.
The A380 made its first flight on 27 April 2005 and entered commercial service on 25 October 2007 with Singapore Airlines.
The A380's upper deck extends along the entire length of the fuselage, with a width equivalent to a wide-body aircraft.
This gives the A380-800's cabin 550 square metres (5,920 sq ft) of usable floor space, 40% more than the next largest airliner, the Boeing 747-8, and provides seating for 525 people in a typical three-class configuration or up to 853 people in an all-economy class configuration.
The A380-800 has a design range of 8,500 nautical miles (15,700 km), serving the third- and fifth-longest non-stop scheduled flights in the world (as of November 2017), and a cruising speed of Mach 0.85 (about 900 km/h, 560 mph or 490 kt at cruising altitude).
As of July 2018, Airbus had received 331 firm orders and delivered 229 aircraft; Emirates is the biggest A380 customer with 162 ordered of which 104 have been delivered.
Major structural sections of the A380 are built in France, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Due to the sections' large size, traditional transportation methods proved unfeasible, so they are brought to the Jean-Luc Lagardère Plant assembly hall in Toulouse, France, by specialised road and water transportation, though some parts are moved by the A300-600ST Beluga transport aircraft.
A380 components are provided by suppliers from around the world; the four largest contributors, by value, are Rolls-Royce, Safran, United Technologies and General Electric.
The front and rear fuselage sections are shipped on one of three RORO ships from Hamburg in northern Germany to the United Kingdom. The wings are manufactured at Broughton in North Wales, then transported by barge to Mostyn docks for ship transport.
There are two different escalators for two decks
We used escalator to lower deck
Boarding was carried out with the help of a jet bridge
In the windows were visible other jet bridges.
Lower deck economy class seats scheme: 3 - 4 - 3
You will find warm blanket and pillow on your seat
On the armrests the touch screen control panel is located. With it you can also switch on light and call the stewardess
This is a touch screen
(We had seats 81A and 81B)
Here you can choose language
You have the following entertainment: movies, music, music video, information about the flight and web cams on aircraft
Press the button with information about your flight and you will see where are the aircraft now, your route and duration of flight
The fuselage is very spacious
The porthole window has three glasses
Because of this, good sound insulation is achieved
Before the flight you will see on the screens safety instruction in two languages: german and english
There are three web cams on this aircraft. They show the picture under aircraft, in front of aircraft and view from its tail
This picture looks like 3d model, but it is not. It is real video from aircraft's tail
Engines start very quiet
...acceleration...
...take off!
If you will not see the situation in window you will likely will not notice take off: too quiet and soft
Pay attention to the wingspan
The A380's wing is sized for a maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) over 650 tonnes to accommodate these future versions, albeit with some internal strengthening required on the A380F freighter.
The optimal wingspan for this weight is about 90 m (300 ft), but airport restrictions limited it to less than 80 m (260 ft).
Flight duration: 10h 45m
It was day flight so we departured at 10:45a.m. and arrived to Miami at 15:30
That is we had no night (very long day) as we moved along the Earth rotation, from the Sun
A380 flies at altitude 12km, so we can assume that we flew in the stratosphere
In web cam It seemed that we was on the space shuttle :-)
After 45 minutes of flight we were given a small snack and water
Aerial view from board was amazing, especially when we crossed boundary between land and the Atlantic Ocean
In flight information demonstration on the touch screen you even can see real-time 3d model from cockpit!
...and other beautiful 3d models of aircraft
After ~2 hours after departure we were given a good dinner (two options were available: vegetarian and default)
Interesting fact: these steel knives, forks, and spoons were sterilized with temperature -50C, thus take care when you touch them :-)
We continue our flight through the stratosphere :-)
Onboard WC overview: there are a lot of available water closets on the deck. You will see at least 4
Sensor temperature adjusting and sensor water switch
...after 6 hours of flight...
Only 1h 38m before arrival
We will soon begin to decline
In window one can see beautiful reef islands
...26 minutes before landing...
...announcement of preparation for landing...
Further in this video there will be 10 minutes of relaxing music and amazing views during our landing
