USA news on Youtube Jul 30 2017

We got to help at this event with Best Buddies.

We got to have a little dance party,

color, do the color game and talk with them so it was really great.

Every girl is super sweet.

You wouldn't expect it, but it's true.

Every single girl is so kind.

I feel like each and every one of us have become best friends.

Just over these few days that we've been here.

I feel like after the whole week,

we're all going to be so close after this.

Bridesmaids for sure!

Wherever we go in the United States, we'll always have a friend.

The really cute movie with the two dogs

and they were eating the spaghetti.

The Wizard of Oz.

That's literally my favorite movie and I didn't get it.

Oh my gosh.

No, it's not Sleeping Beauty. It's not Sleeping Beauty. Is it Shrek?

It's not Cinderella.

It's that other one.

No, no, Shrek has that in it too!

Whenever they talk to the mirror. Okay, wait, hold on.

It's a princess.

Snow White, duh.

Oh my goodness, I have no idea. Is this bad?

Adam Sandler's in it, right?

Is that the Little Rascals or something?

The Sandlot! That's my favorite movie.

That's Finding Nemo.

Finding Nemo.

Who is Your Role Model? - Duration: 1:40.

Sandra Day O'Connor.

She was the first female justice on the Supreme Court

and she showed the height women can reach when given the opportunity.

Ashley Graham.

Not only is she incredibly beautiful and a super-talented model,

but she's breaking barriers and stereotypes all around the world,

so that girls feel beautiful in all different body types.

Amal Clooney is my greatest female role model.

Not only is she a fashion icon,

she's also an Oxford educated, civil rights attorney.

Zendaya. Not only is she a fabulous actress and singer,

but she is a woman who promotes body positivity.

She supports women all around the world.

Malala Yousafzai.

She was actually the youngest Nobel Peace Prize recipient ever

because she was brave and intelligent and spoke up

for education rights for all students.

Ellen DeGeneres

because she never doubts herself

and is always there to stick up for herself and others.

Lady Gaga.

I honestly love how she uniquely portrays herself

and she is not afraid to embrace who she is.

Emma Watson.

Not only do I think she's elegant and gorgeous,

but I really admire her work with The UN on the HeForShe campaign.

My mom.

Two days after my state pageant,

my mom underwent brain surgery to remove her brain tumor.

She's always taught me no matter what life throws your way,

You can overcome anything if you have a goal and you set your mind to it.

My grandmother.

When she left Africa at a very young age,

she had nothing but an education with her

and it inspires me to help all women and children around the world

gain an education

because it is the sole thing that can take you wherever you want to go in life.

2017 Miss Teen USA Roundtable Discussion - Duration: 1:50.

For me, self-love was having a form of expression

I found myself through dancing and its been 13 years. I dance every week; I've never stopped

It's really nice to have an escape and that's what dancing was for me.

You're going to have to teach me

I will!

For me, all my life I've been an athlete

I was a four-sport athlete throughout high school

And so I have muscles and I have an athletic body and I've just learned to embrace it

I think self-love is something that is so hard for people to have

And I want to fix this because it breaks my heart to see that people don't have the confidence that I've learned

and it is so awesome to have

It's not about everyone looking the same, it's about healthy lifestyle

Yes

Being healthy comes with being happy with who you are too

Middle school and high school is really the age where people try to be different than who they were

I know that when I was in middle school, I used to always flat iron my hair

and, as I was telling you guys earlier, it takes to do

I love your curly hair

Thank you!

I would do it because nobody else around me had my type of hair and I wanted to fit in

And competing with my hair naturally curly is probably the best thing that I've done

Because it shows that I've learned to love my hair

When you embrace who you are and then others see that

Like I know just on my "Snapchat take-over" I got messages from people saying that

"Yah, I have an athletic build too" like that is really empowering and it feels to know that

other people feel that way too, and because you're embracing what you're like and how you are

it helps them feel better too

I think the standard of what beautiful is is changing

They're so diverse, everyone's beautiful is different

I think that is one of the best phrases that I've ever heard

I think we need to share it more because that is so awesome

Real beauty queens fix each others' crowns

That is so true, I love that
