Hello everyone Sylvia Acevedo here. As CEO of the Girl Scouts of the USA I lead
an organization fundamentally committed to the idea that educating the next
generation of leaders is perhaps the single most important task of any
society. As educators you are most directly responsible for shaping the
young minds of today and therefore our collective future. At Girl Scouts our
mission is to help you advance your work. We provide hands-on learning
opportunities and robust leadership experiences, which prepare girls for a
lifetime of bold and impactful leadership. The programming of the Girl
Scout leadership experience is proven to develop five essential life and
leadership skills and outcomes for girls: sense of self, positive values,
challenge-seeking, , healthy relationships and community problem-solving. Our curriculum
is designed to support national research-based educational learning
outcomes. I have such profound respect and
admiration for what you do each and every day in your efforts to challenge
and enrich the minds of tomorrow's trailblazers. At Girl Scouts our goal is to
