FED UP OBAMA GOES ROGUE ON GEORGE SOROS
One would think that former President Barack Obama and George Soros would be the best of
friends.
After all, Soros spent millions of dollars to elect Obama.
But as it turns out, things are a bit rocky, and Obama is furious at George Soros for what
he just did.
There is perhaps nobody more influential on the left than George Soros.
Being one of the richest people in the world, he can throw around a lot of money for the
causes he cares about.
And the causes he cares about are all on the left, with many describing the man as a socialist.
He has dropped boatloads of money for everyone on the left, from Barack Obama to Hillary
Clinton, and so on.
Being perhaps the largest funder of the anti-Trump resistance, you would think that he and Barack
Obama, whose legacy President Trump is looking to destroy, would be the best of friends.
But according to a new interview conducted by the New York Times, George Soros doesn't
have much nice to say about the former president he helped elect.
Soros stated that Barack Obama was "actually my greatest disappointment."
The reason isn't so much because of the policies Obama pushed while in office, but
rather that Obama didn't seem to want to work with Soros as often as expected.
Soros felt that Obama "closed the door" on him as soon as he secured the presidency.
Recalling a phone call that he received from Obama after the election, Soros made it seem
as though the then-President elect was looking to simply thank him, and then end the call.
Soros instead wanted to speak with Obama longer, and said that he was able to stretch the call
slightly longer than it seemed Obama wanted, but that the call itself only lasted eight
minutes.
The billionaire mentioned how he was hoping that Obama would consider him as a sort of
consultant on financial and economic issues.
But that seemingly didn't play out, and Soros has a theory as to why.
He said that Obama is known to "take his supporters for granted and to woo his opponents."
That means that Obama didn't really want to talk to Soros because he was already on
his side.
He was more interested in getting his opponents to like him than he was to help people already
on his side.
This likely comes down to the former president only caring about himself, and having a massive
ego.
He doesn't like when people don't like him, and will fight to try to get them to
see him as a friend.
But because he only cares about himself, he doesn't care much to help friends that he
already has, people like Soros.
It seems that, at least in the case of Soros, that mindset isn't serving him well to keep
friends that he once had.
Soros seems to be so distraught by this that he is questioning what party affiliation he
wants to be considered as, saying that he doesn't "particularly want to be a Democrat,"
instead expressing a bi-partisan position.
