USA news on Youtube May 9 2018

Good Morning everyone!

Today I took out the Nissan Cima Y31!

Lets check the acceleration!!

Why does a car always get in front of me when I'm trying to check acceleration!!

I want to talk a little bit serious today... not too serious but a little bit.

Serious?!?!

I guess sometimes I can be a little serious sometimes...

I want to talk a bit about being a "bridge" between the USA and Japan...

I'm an American...

no.. I'm not Japanese... lol

As a Japanese speaking American...

omg.. this speed warning sound is driving me nuts!!!!

I haven't disconnected this annoying bell yet!

Can you see my shirt behind the seatbelt?

This is my brand called Thumb's Up!

Why did I start this brand?

Ever since I've been a kid, my dad and everyone around us...

when you like something or see something cool...

you give a Thumbs Up...

"Cool"

A Thumbs Up relays that you like what that person has...

it works in most countries around the world...

whether you know the language or not, a Thumbs Up and a smile will usually work!

I just got a Thumbs Up myself!!!

This happens in America too, but in Japan at car meets it seems that different groups don't really mix a lot...

If you go to Daikoku or other car gatherings, you see guys in their own small groups a lot..

I get it.. it's fun to be with your car club friends and other buddies...

But do you ever think about going up to someone you don't know and saying...

"Nice car man!!" "That's Cool"

Give a Thumbs Up and say, "I really like your ride"

then introduce yourself...

and compliment someone you don't know sometime on their ride...

This doesn't seem to happen very often...

Perhaps there is an element of shyness in Japanese culture that affects this...

There are many shy Americans too... this isn't just a Japanese thing...

But for me, as a Japanese speaking American into cars...

I really enjoy going up to people and complimenting them on their rides...

It doesn't matter if that car is old or new, or still being worked on or finished...

Lambos, Ferraris, Nissan Cimas....

Supercars, Classic Cars, VIP cars...

It doesn't matter what the car is or even how nice and shiny it may be..

Its not about the cost of the car or even how much money that person spent...

Lets recognize the effort that person made to build their car...

how hard they worked to earn the money and how much time they put into their car...

A simple Thumbs Up tells that person that you recognize their effort and hard work...

and you will make that person very happy...

he or she is bound to smile...

Smile like this! lol

You can make a lot of new friends too...

It's not cool to be like...

"We drive Lambos so screw those Ferrari guys..."

"Us Ferrari owners don't like those flashy gaudy Lambo dudes..."

Let's stop that kind of stuff!

We all love cars...

the cars may all be different types and levels...

but isn't that better than everyone being the same??

I always say like Ramen, Curry, Girls and Guys too... we are all into different stuff...

Can you imagine if everyone liked only 1 type of each of those????

That would suck...

Interest in cars is wide and varied just like these other things...

Classic car lovers....

modern car lovers...

Ferrari only lovers...

Lamborghini only...

I get it!! We are all different!!!

But as a community, why not recognize others differences...

It only takes a simple smile and a Thumbs Up!!

and you too will feel good about making someone's day...

Its said that the car community is dwindling...

and that young people aren't into cars anymore...

I don't want to believe that though...

I think that is incorrect...

As a community if we stick together we can attract more and more new people to cars too.

We are all different... our interests and tastes are different...

the amount of money we have is all different...

Lets all get along together...

that's what I'm trying to say today...

I feel as a Japanese speaking American that perhaps it's easier for me to approach unknown people...

It may be harder to do for fellow Japanese or fellow Americans...

but lets put that aside and try to appreciate all the differences around us.

Looks the old Ford hotrod in front of us!!

Lets try what I've been taking about right now..!!

I don't think he saw me but...

it still feels good!!!

Thumbs Up everyone!!!

1일 3000만 조회수의 Childish Gambino - This is America 해석과 리액션 (Eng sub) - An Asian man reacts - Duration: 10:58.

This morning I woke up and turned on YouTube.

And on my "suggested video" list, I saw a video that was uploaded just a day ago and had 27 mil views.

As far I remember, it's probably the fastest growing video I've seen on YouTube.

So I was like "Hey is is gonna be a big issue. I might as well react to it."

This video is being made 100% impromptu.

Anyways today I'm gonna be reacting to a song called "This is America" by an artist known as Childish Gambino.

There is so much buzz going on about this music video. So I'm gonna take a look.

One thing I should briefly tell you about this artist is that his real name is "Donald Glover"

He acts, writes, sings, raps, DJs and does comedy and all sorts of stuff.

He's a very versatile, gifted artist.

Without further ado, let me get into it.

Usually music videos are shot with expensive cameras so it doesn't usually have so much noise.

It(the noise) is probably intentionally expressed in the video.

Do you see it? The guy in the left grabs the gun as soon as he shoots the guitar player

And who shoots so elegantly?

This guy's form is a bit too exquisite.

But I notice that the sound has shifted from choir sound to trap sound at the point of shooting.

And this guy(on the left) comes to grab the gun as if he knew this was going to happen beforehand.

Explaining the meaning of "slip up" to Korean audiences.

Then these guys in the back comes to drag the body out.

Explaining the meaning of "whip up" to Korean audiences.

I think what this guy is saying here is "Watch what mess I made you here. I know you still ain't gonna catch me"

Then he goes on saying "this is America"

And you see the noise again? I think it's getting worse.

The kids in the back are from what? high school? middle school?

He just killed a person and he dances about it ever so contently

And as if that's not disturbing enough, teenage kids come along and dance with him

Explaining what "bag" means to Korean audience

So basically he's gonna go smoke after killing. That's very American.

He's the person who massacred the whole group of choir.

Hold up. The gun cleaning guy came back again.

Right? He's the guy who came to retrieve the pistol in the red towel last time

And all these people were so stirred up and running amok with these hammers, pipes etc

but this guy is so calm and peaceful all by himself.

He's the one who caused the scene and stirred up all these people but he's like "okay whatever"

Cops are not even interested in him.

But the lyric goes "don't got you slippin up"

These kids are back

I mean these kids are back..

And do you hear the lyrics?

Did he say I'm geeked out?

Explaining the meaning of the lyrics. Skip to 7:29

He just massacred tens of people

And as soon as he commits such horrible thing, he goes on talking about such positive things in such simple way.

I'm so pretty, I'm on Gucci, I'm geekin out.

Then after all that, he says "This is America."

No don't get me nervous again.

Again?

What? He's back?

Damn this guy is a dancer!

Damn I'm so jealous of black people. They are so good at dancing. So much soul man.

If I could dance like this, I would go to club 5 days a week. I would literally live in the club.

I really dig the trap sound part of the song.

I didn't really talk about it but rather thought to myself but this guy's facial expression is quite something.

It's so lively that it drags me into the song so much. It's what makes me immersed in the song.

It's too real. It's too real

I guess he's not an actor without a reason.

I completely understand how and why this video got so many views in such short time.

There certainly were points where I couldn't help but agree.

Since I'm making this video to do reaction rather than get deep about social things,

So I won't go so deep as to analyze this video.

This video was artistic.

And also the song itself was a great song of its own.

It was definitely worth reacting to. I definitely had fun.

As much as I could enjoy reacting to this vid, I hope you guys enjoyed my reaction!

If you enjoyed it, please hit that thumbs up button or leave me any feedbacks!
