Liberals Mock Melania's Accent, Get Smacked With Brutal Reality Check Hours Later.
On Monday, First Lady Melania Trump delivered a speech in the Rose Garden at the White House,
revealing her signature campaign to combat bullying and drug use.
The spirit of the anti-bullying initiative was apparently lost on many liberals, who
took to social media to mock Melania's accent.
However, within hours, they all received a brutal reality check that rendered them speechless.
First Lady Melania Trump's "BE BEST" campaign is aimed at creating a healthy lifestyle
for students on social media and in the classroom, as well as preventing opioid abuse among students.
In her speech at the White House, Melania said, "There are too many critical issues
facing children today so the three main pillars of BE BEST will include well-being, social
media use, and opioid abuse.
We can and should teach children the importance of social and self-awareness, positive relationship
skills, and responsible decision making."
It was apparent that the first lady's statement was spoken straight from the heart, as she
has traveled the country in order to witness firsthand the most pressing issues plaguing
children in America.
This did not stop the usual suspects from mocking Melania, however, completely missing
the anti-cyberbullying nature of her new program by making fun of her accent and even her skin
color.
According to The Daily Caller, influential commenters online used their verified Twitter
accounts to make fun of the first lady's accent.
Melania is an immigrant who was born in Slovenia and speaks five languages.
Furious after witnessing liberals mock Melania, The Daily Caller reporter Benny Johnson decided
to offer them a much-needed reality check.
"Remember when Michelle Obama announced 'Let's Move?'
And journalists mocked her skin color, use of the English language and children?
Oh, you don't either?
This must be another journalistic rule you can break in the Trump-era.
GREAT JOB GUYS!"
Johnson wrote on Facebook.
"I watched reporters and commenters make fun of Melania's accent today during her
White House speech," Johnson added.
He then listed several facts on his personal Facebook page as a "quick reminder" for
the "idiots" who made fun of Melania: • Melanija Knavs was born in Yugoslavia
under communism • She was raised in a tiny apartment by
her working-class communist parents • As a teen, she was given a work-visa to
model outside of the communist dictatorship • She worked as a model around the world,
eventually breaking into the European fashion scene after the Berlin Wall fell
• She emigrated to the US in 1996 on a 'Genius Visa'
• She speaks six languages: English, French, Italian, German, Slovene and Serbo-Croatian
• Melania is the second-ever First Lady to be born outside the United States
"So before you make a joke about her, just remember: Melania Trump has had a tougher
life than you," Johnson concluded.
"She is an American success story.
And unequivocally one of the most accomplished First Ladies in modern history."
Isn't it ironic that the same people who mercilessly mock our first lady are in favor
of unbridled, unlimited immigration?
They seemingly want to welcome all of the unvetted, unqualified immigrants we can get
our hands on, but, at the same time, harbor a deep-seated disdain for one immigrant in
particular: Melania Trump, who, by all accounts, has exactly the sort of exemplary background
that we should be welcoming into our country.
Highly intelligent and hard-working, Melania fled the oppression of a Communist country
and established an enviable life for herself in America.
She is perhaps the best immigrant success story ever told, yet the left hates her.
I suppose that's liberal logic for you.
