USA news on Youtube Apr 12 2018

The people make a huge difference, I really like the people here. It's a great

team: my co-teachers and colleagues, the staff in general, it's been a great

experience, I've made a lot of good friends. And the students, the variety

of people coming from different places. I've met people from all walks of life

of all different ages and just fascinating, fun people.

I'm always happy to come to work. Mondays are exciting because you never know,

you have new students, I never know who's going to be there. And I've made not only

friends as for my coworkers, but also students that we stay in touch and we're

still friends. Well there's always that openness - people

who come here know that they're going to work with people from other countries

and we generally get people with an open mind who are willing to learn

differences between their cultures and others. We get a lot of people who have

travelled a lot or that really enjoy traveling and very often they need

English for travelling, or for work is another reason. So people always find

something that they can connect with or something that they're interested in that

they want to learn from others. So that always makes it very interesting. There's

a very good, fun atmosphere in the classes where I'm always learning

something and it's clear that everybody else is usually on the same page.

>> It looks done but there's still a lot of work to do. We have the electrical to do,

the control system to do, and install all those devices and so there's plenty of work to do.

Right now the brakes and the control systems they're still being

developed off-site and I'll be brought here in the near future.

So the trains are very old Western in appearance. They're very unique to have the

old-style rivets that you used to see on old mine carts and trains and the whole

theme around this coaster is steel on wood. These trains really bring that to life.

So right now we're scheduled to start testing after the trains arrive.

In the early part of April of next year, temperatures are real critical and if

it's not warm enough we run into problems with cold bearings and

it's just not as conducive as it is when it's a little bit warmer.

So probably the most interesting element for me would be the Outer Banks.

Typically you bank on the inside. On this rollercoaster you're banking on the outside which is going to

really give you a unique airtime experience.

So right now we're installing the Midway concrete. It has an old western feel to it, it fits the theme of the area.

So we've installed all the fencing around the site.

Our low zone fencing is complete. It's different from our typical

fencing because we wanted theme it to the area. We have a partner that

does our control system. The control system is a computer or the brains of

the entire coaster. So what that does is it controls the speed of the ride,

how much it needs to break, where the trains at, and the proximity of the

coaster train with wherever it's at on the ride itself.

For the train testing

we run the train around one time and really focus in on what's happening with it.

Make sure it makes it back to the station ultimately. That happened, we were

successful so now we'll take the next step and go to the commissioning phase.

Once all that's in place then we'll start running trains after it one after the other.

So after seeing it run for the first time, I was really amazed at how

smooth and quiet it was. It really got me excited to ride it for the first time.
