President Trump is defending ice as Democrats ramped up calls to abolish the
agency but we may soon get a helping hand from Mexico to stop illegals from

summertime and the rhetoric is heating up in this political battle over
immigration ice is at the center of it all with Democratic Party leaders and
protesters calling for the agency to be disbanded or restarted dozens of
protesters in Los Angeles blocking the entrances to the city's ice detention
center and at least 18 were arrested President Trump meanwhile defended the
agency in a tweet claiming the calls to abolish ice may backfire saying quote
these people will be voting for Republicans in November and in many
cases joining the Republican Party now this comes as the Federal District Court
for the District of Columbia ruling that asylum seekers cannot be indefinitely
detained if they've shown credible evidence they're fleeing persecution in
their home nations Attorney General Jeff Sessions as claimed foreigners are
abusing that system to win entry into the US this case covers some 1,000
asylum seekers in five ice field offices and meanwhile as Jillian mention
Mexico's new president-elect tweeting about his call with President Trump
Idris Manuel Lopez Obrador saying the half hour long conversation was
productive and that he proposed projects to generate jobs in Mexico that may
reduce migration and improve security along the border now the tweet also said
quote there was respectful treatment and our representatives will talk so
obviously looking to lay some groundwork there guys back to you the studio he's
also said that it is every migrants right to come to the United States so
we'll see how Mexico does with immigration into the u.s. Robert thank

that citizenship status was offered in the deal as a favor to government

all right Democrats now taking aim at President Trump over his search for a
Supreme Court justice using the hot button ruling of Roe versus Wade as the
rallying cry the president is looking for someone who will overturn Roe vs.
Wade but you are going to see 20 states passed laws banning abortion outright
roe v wade is doomed it is gone because Donald Trump won the election the
president has already said he would not ask the candidates about the high
court's ruling so we're Democrats getting ahead of themselves on the issue
here now to debate it is Democratic strategist Antoine C right and radio
talk-show host dr. Gina loud and thank you both for being here Antoine we'll
start with you our Democrats getting ahead of
themselves no I think we have passed a moment in which pulling the fire alarm
should have been done a long time ago at the end of the day the president doesn't
have to ask these nominees they would not be on his list if they're not were
in the same posture he was on every issue and I think it's bigger than one
issue I think it's bigger than a Donald Trump this will be for the next 40 or 50
years and so we're talking about generations of people who will be
impacted by whoever the president nominates and whoever the Republican
Congress decides to jam through Gina do you agree is this bigger than president
Trump you know he makes a great point in that this is about having a strict
constitutionalist someone who is an originalist that's all the president is
asking for and that's what Americans want as well they want someone who
doesn't believe that the Constitution is something that we can manipulate based
on whimsy and so anyone who doesn't agree with that isn't going to agree
with a with with this with this nominee probably but but here's what it really
comes down to on the ROE versus Wade thing this is a cash cow for the
Democrat Party taxpayers fund abortion to the tune of 1.5 million dollars every
single day and most of that money a lot of the money from Planned Parenthood
ends up in the coffers of the Democrat elite I'm not talking about the Democrat
rank-and-file I'm not talking about the people in the Rust Belt in the Midwest
who identify as Democrat that the president's talking about who are
probably going to vote for him but I'm talking about the people who make a lot
of cash money for their campaigns because we fund abortion the way they do
with your money you in the right continue throughout these rentme talking
points to try to scare everyone in the United States of America and the bottom
line is this is bigger than one issue and if you know if you've read proposed
them you've seen what I've seen majority of American people care about what the
next nominee will have to say about role
Gina I'm just curious what I said that was untrue what what about the 1.5
million dollars of taxpayer money most of which ends up in Democrat coffers
which part of that isn't true I mean you're persisting this argument as if
Democrats are the only people who think that abortions are one way or another
the bottom line is when it comes to issues like in South Carolina for
instance is rape incest in the life of a mother are very important and we've done
that in a bipartisan way in the state and so it's not just all about the
abortion issue that you continue throughout but isn't this guys isn't
maybe we can agree on this isn't this this is all hypothetical at this point
are we doing any good in putting so much focus on one issue when when this one
person isn't going to be appointed by just an opinion on one issue listen I
agree with you that's why I say it's bigger than what issue this will be
about it possible immigration this will be about redistricting drawing maps and
a future in this country this would be about formative action just 10 seconds
less really isn't this really isn't about our political whim of the moment
Antoine actually on the counter it is about the Constitution and someone who
believes in the original construction of the Constitution
that's what matter to all Americans regardless of
where we stand on political issues ain't no one Donald Trump will appoint so we
