Lankford On Mueller No Indictment Decision - Duration: 18:31.
break their bread are you there much better much better
I protect Laurel this is a Fox News Alert good evening I'm Bret bear in New
York we began with a political blockbuster tonight presidential
attorney Rudy Giuliani says special counsel Robert Muller is promising to
follow Justice Department guidance that a sitting president cannot be indicted
this obviously has implications for the Russia collusion probe and may come as a
seismic disappointment to some of President Trump's critics chief White
House correspondent John Roberts starts us off with the breaking details
tonight from the North Lawn good even John Brandt good evening to you I spoke
with Rudy Giuliani on the telephone in the last hour and he confirmed to Fox
News dat about two weeks ago the Special Counsel Robert Muller assured the
president's outside legal team that he would follow DOJ guidelines that a
sitting president cannot be indicted Giuliani says that Muller doesn't really
have any choice he has to follow the the findings of a 1999 Clinton era DOJ memo
now that's not to say that Muller still couldn't find some evidence of
wrongdoing that Congress could act on but the president's legal team doesn't
appear concerned Giuliani telling Fox News a short time ago quote this case is
essentially over they're just in denial while the president appears to continue
to be consumed on an almost daily basis with the Russia investigation he has
more pressing matters at hand such as whether his summit with Kim jong-un is
on or off meeting with the president of Uzbekistan today President Trump was
unclear about the status of his summit with North Korean leader Kim jong-un
we'll have to see North Korea pulled out of meetings with South Korean officials
this week protesting joint us-south Korean military exercises Pyongyang also
left open to question whether the u.s. North Korea meeting would be scuttled
White House officials think it all might be so much North Korean bluster this is
something that we fully expected the president is very Houston ready for
tough negotiations and if they want to meet will be ready and if they don't
that's okay to continue with the campaign of maximum pressure that's the
case but like I just said if they want to meet the president will certainly be
ready while military exercises were the initial rationale for its tantrum North
Korea also made clear it has an issue with what National Security Advisor John
Bolton told fox's Chris Wallace on April 29th Bolton saying there is already a
model for what North Korean denuclearization would look like and we
have very much in mind the Libya model from 2003 2004
there are obviously differences the living program was much smaller but that
was basically the agreement that we made and so we'll want to test North Korea in
this first meeting for evidence that they have made that strategic decision
press secretary Sarah could be Sanders today walked that back a bit insisting
any vision for denuclearization will come from the president and that he has
his own ideas I haven't seen that that's like a specific thing I know that that
comment was made but I don't think we're going off of there's not a cookie cutter
model on how this works this is the president Trump model he's gonna run
this the way he sees fit we all know that you're aware he's the best
negotiator we also got more insight today into why Rudy Giuliani dropped the
bombshell on May 2nd that President Trump reimbursed Michael Cohen for the
payment to stormy Daniels in a financial disclosure released by the Office of
government ethics today President Trump reports in 2016 expenses were incurred
by one of Donald J Trump's attorney Michael Cohen mr. Cohen sought
reimbursement of those expenses and mr. Trump fully reimbursed mr. Cohen in 2017
the president contends he was not required to report
reimbursement but did so in the interest of transparency OGE disagreed in a
comment saying it concluded that the information related to the payment made
by mr. cohen is required to be reported oh GE adding that the president has now
meant the reporting requirements the question why didn't the president report
the payment to stormy Daniels and reimbursement to Cohen last year in
March Citizens for responsibility and ethics in Washington filed suit with the
O GE and DOJ wanting to know if the failure to report
it is June 2017 financial disclosure was knowing and willful the acting director
of the office of government ethics sent both reports and an accompanying letter
to the Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein for further investigation or
at least further consideration as to why Giuliani made that statement to Sean
Hannity Beck on May the 2nd sources tell FOX News Giuliani was aware that the
Cohen payments would come out of the president's financial disclosure and
wanted to get ahead of it by getting ahead of the threat it would be Giuliani
who took the hit and not the president weeb Rudy Giuliani was on laura ingraham
show tonight 10:00 p.m. I want to ask you about something else speaking of the
investigation robert muller roger stones social media director in the news today
what's that about yeah Robert Muller has issued a subpoena to Jason Sullivan he
was Roger stone a good friend of the president's associate of the presidents
in 2016 his social media director we contacted Jason Sullivan who
confirmed at Fox News that yes he did indeed receive a subpoena wouldn't go
much beyond that though but this is an indication breath that Muller may be
looking into any evidence that Roger stone knew what WikiLeaks was up to when
it was releasing all of those Clinton emails that ostensibly at least
allegedly had been hacked by Russia I guess Muller wants to know what Roger
stone knew and when he knew it Brett John Roberts loved the North Lawn jump
thank you we have new information tonight about the infamous Trump Tower
meeting between the president's son Donald Trump jr. and some of his
father's campaign ads as well as a Russian lawyer who supposedly had
damaging information about Hillary Clinton or
that was thought of at the time correspondent Peter Doocy
is on Capitol Hill tonight with the latest Donald Trump jr. said he kept his
dad in the dark in June 2016 when Russians came calling with potential
dirt on opponent Hillary Clinton congressional investigators asked did he
say why wasn't I told about this meeting no he didn't did you find that odd no
because he wasn't aware of it the meeting almost didn't happen according
to the music promoter with Russian clients who set it up Rob Goldstone told
Congress I believed it was a bad idea and that we shouldn't do it and I gave
the reason for that being that I am a music publicist politics I knew nothing
about once the meeting started things unfolded like this according to Ike
cavil odd say a US citizen of Georgian descent who works for a group run by a
Russian oligarch mr. Trump asked if they got anything on Hillary and to which mr.
Ahmed Sheen responded why don't you do your own research on her we gave you the
idea but ranaghat machine a Russian lobbyist was asked by investigators was
there any discussion of anything that might reasonably be considered collusion
between the Trump campaign and the Russian government not to way I
understand it no Trump jr. told Congress that the meeting was instead primarily
focused on Russian adoptions today jr. said the public can now see that for
over five hours I answered every question asked and was candid and
forthright with the committee the Democratic lawmakers not so sure I have
no confidence
so the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee may bring Trump jr. back to
testify again things I'll take it under advisement this morning Obama era Intel
officials briefed a bipartisan group of senators about how they came to the
conclusion that Russians mettle to help Trump in an intelligence community
assessment or ICA which reportedly relied on the infamous unverified dirty
dossier and in a break with House Republicans Republican Chairman Richard
Burr now says quote we see no reason to dispute the conclusions today's talk
with the Obama era spy chiefs according to one Democrat in attendance focused
less on Trump campaign collusion and more on Russians using Facebook and
Twitter to interfere we never had social media to this extent and any other
election before former CIA director John Brennan and former national security
adviser James clapper were not chatty leaving their clothes to our meeting we
can tell us about what he told the community
so the last generation of spy Chiefs was characteristically tight-lipped as the
next generation got a step closer to the director's office at Langley Gina Haspel
was easily confirmed today by the Intel committee next stop a full Senate
confirmation vote it could be as early as tomorrow
Brett introduce you live on the hill Peter thank you let's get more now from
Oklahoma Senator James Langford who sits on the Intelligence Committee in the
Senate he joins us from Capitol Hill senator thanks for being here your
assessment of this report that came out of your committee today a lot of
write-ups saying that it goes really against the House Committee on this this
very topic yeah that's interesting spin to say it goes against the house
committee all that we did is we looked at the assessment from the Obama
administration that they did in December the literally the final month for the
president that he put out a quick run-through of what the intelligence
they had at that point we looked at it and evaluated what I had at that point
and said yes that's what they had at that point they evaluated they looked at
the Indians that were the Russians trying to help President Trump at the
very end yes the bigger question was not out there
were they always trying to help the Trump campaign no but that's not in the
report and it's not being reported on it the Russians started working on campaign
issues in the United States in 2014 they didn't know the candidates at that point
they determined every and try to find some way to be able to meddle in the
campaign they work from multiple campaigns throughout the process so that
report looked at just those final months and yes were they trying to engage her
in the final months for Trump sure they work but where they threw the whole
campaign no they were not here is the Senate Minority Leader today about this
release of the 2,500 pages that transcripts around that Trump talent
meeting Senate Republicans interviewed only 12 witnesses in total an infamous
Kremlin connected lawyer was allowed to provide only written answers our
Republican friends decided not to even interview two of the other key
participants in that meeting Jared Kushner Paul Mann afford to call the
Senate Judiciary Committee's rusha investigation half-hearted is too
generous your response that is a sad designation of what happened to Senate
Judiciary he knows full well that's the Senate Judiciary the Senate Intelligence
Committee has also gone through this I know Democrats are trying to be able to
make something of this this is a rabbit hole for them they're constantly trying
to accuse and say there must be something here that we can stir up or at
least just create an accusation that has the appearance of it we interviewed
everybody that was there we've gone through all the documents everyone's
story has been consistent there was no collusion that was a part of that
meeting that was a deceptive reach out from an individual that they had
connected to during one of the pageants that was a music personality they met
with as a personal favor and when you go through all the interviews it was
obvious there was nothing there there was no reason to even report it and go
through it and my fear is that Democrats continue to make something out of
nothing that if you look at the facts including
all the testimony today you'll see there was nothing to that meeting where does
this go next obviously we're waiting for the next shoe to drop with the bob
muller investigation but where where does this all go next so the House
Intelligence Committee obviously releases their report we're releasing
the second of our 4-part report here in the days ahead
dealing with what's happening in Senate Intelligence what we're trying to be
able to get out as well the Judiciary Committee from the Senate is releasing
their reports we're all wrapping up our reports and trying to get through all
the final documents the hope is that the Muller investigation is also drawing
through a closed to be able to finish out their investigation my fear is if
you go back to Iran Contra and the investigations that we've done with
Special Counsel and President Reagan it was six years they drug that out we want
to be able to have them do their work finish their work and to be able to get
it done what about the concern that Russia is going to do it again in the
midterms or 2020 we aware not likely that Russia will try something again
this is something that Eastern European countries face every single year there's
something Western European countries have faced multiple times
h-how'd assume the Russians did at once they're going to try to do it again
people just need to be aware when they see things on social media that's not
always an American and that's trying to be able to put out that information on
either side of an issue in America and Americans frequently are seeing social
media and assuming that's a fellow citizen and it
not there obviously are a lot of Democrats some others that say they're
not happy with what they saw from Don Donald Trump jr. in the committee and as
this transcript of the the interviews are being released here's senator
Blumenthal on all of that what he's calling for he needs to come back with
and testify him person under oath there is a lot that needs to be explained the
contradictions and invasions my record but even more so when I attended this
interview you think he needs to come back no I don't think he needs to come
back he's appeared before House committees here if you're here before
the Senate Judiciary Committee he's appeared before the Senate Intelligence
Committee he's done hours and hours and hours of testimony that testimony has
been consistent they're just digging and hoping they can find something or
leaving an innuendo that maybe there's some secret question that they get asked
to be able to find something the hard part is after months and months and
months of this investigation they're not finding anything and that's really their
frustration saying maybe if I bring him back one more time I will it's just not
there and what about the breaking news that Rudy Giuliani has said that Muller
told him he's going to adhere to the Justice Department guidance and there
will not be an indictment of the president period well that's a quite
frankly that's the same thing that Jim Comey told the president a year ago that
the investigation was not about the president Jim Comey told the president
that three times in their meetings that that's come out both Comey and the
president have said that over and over again so I wouldn't be surprised by that
obviously I didn't hear that firsthand to be able to know there's not going to
be an indictment but I wouldn't be surprised because that never has been
the center of the investigation nor is the role the Special Counsel to go try
to get an indictment of the president it is his role was very clear to see if
there's any criminal activity among the campaign the president never has been
listed as the source of any of this activities or they mean those activities
even existed ever he was researching trying to find out if anything did occur
last thing how long do you think this is going to take before we know a
conclusion one way or another well in the next few months the Senate
Intelligence Committee will wrap up its working at all of its public information
out there so everyone can see it and as much possible to tale as we can get out
an unclassified form the House Intelligence Committee is already
wrapping up its report we would hope that the special counsel would do the
same obviously we don't control the special counsel they're independent of
us but they've gone through an awful lot of interviews and awful lot of
investigations when they wrap up and they be able to close that they should
wrap it up rather than just keep searching though to find something and
at the end of the day I think there'll always be some conspiracy theory out
there by someone will say maybe if we asked one more person one more thing we
would find something but I think that's Democrats actually with hopeful thinking
against the president they politically opposed certain Leifer we appreciate
your time tonight thank you we told you earlier North Korea's again
tonight threatening to cancel next month's scheduled summit between Kim
jong-un and President Trump but China is putting pressure on Kim to stay the
course let's get the latest tonight from senior foreign affairs correspondent
Greg Powell cut more diplomatic hard balls from North Korean leader Kim
jong-un his Vice foreign ministers saying in the
statement late Wednesday Korea time we are no longer interested in a
negotiation that will be all about driving us into a corner and making a
one-sided demand to give up our nukes as Chinese President Xi greeted in Beijing
a visiting North Korean delegation the North Korean Ally urged Pyongyang not to
give up talks next month with President Trump
North Korea and the US should meet each other halfway and demonstrate mutual
sincerity to create a conductive atmosphere for their leaders meeting and
the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula the regime had already branded
us South Korean air exercises as provocative and had called off a meeting
set for today at the DMZ between North and South Korean officials Seoul too was
upset the South Korean government urges the north to come out to talks
immediately for the peace and prosperity of the Korean Peninsula most analysts
think Kim jong-un doesn't want to pull out of the summit that this is more
posturing and positioning before the negotiations
some from Washington say that president should stick to his guns
I would advise and caution not to give in to their concessions before you can
get to the negotiating table you want to negotiate out of strength not out of
weakness North Korea's public dismantling of its only known nuclear
chess side is set for next week whether or not that happens could be a sign of
how real this disruption is still the latest statement from North Korea does
indicate the possibility that they might want to reject the demand for deep
nuclearization a sign perhaps the regime is not yet ready to roll over right
great thank you the head of the European Union Council says the actions of the
u.s. under President Trump are capricious Donald Tusk adds quote
someone could even think with friends like that who needs enemies tusk is
leading an EU summit to address the outstanding issues with the Trump
administration those include the u.s. withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal
and the threat to impose punitive trade Trey's actions on the 28-nation EU
Palestinians and the international community criticized Israel over
embassies and the use of force that's coming up

Right After Kerry Seen With Iranians, Guess Who Just Offered $100000 Bounty To Bl*w Up New Embassy! - Duration: 7:59.
Right After Kerry Seen With Iranians, Guess Who Just Offered $100000 Bounty To Bl*w Up
New Embassy!
Former Secretary of State John Kerry was discovered secretly meeting with Iranian officials to
discuss the fallout of the nuclear deal, which Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) called a violation
of the Logan Act.
Many others have agreed with Nunes' assessment especially in light of the fictional charges
levied against Michael Flynn.
And Kerry's treachery against America and her people continues as Kerry was spotted
dining with several Iranian regime officials in Paris on Saturday.
Jason Osborne, a former senior advisor to Donald Trump's 2016 campaign, tweeted of
Kerry's potentially treasonous antics – So John Kerry just left a meeting @ L'Avenue
in Paris w/3 Iranians.
A friend was sitting next to their table and heard JK blasting @realDonaldTrump.
The Iranians had a 5 person security detail and left in diplomatic vehicles.
Is he FARA registered?"
alluding to the charges levied against Flynn using the Logan Act as a basis.
One of the officials was later identified as Kamal Kharzai, Iranian politician, and
diplomat, as well as Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs from August 1997 until 2005.
The progressive left routinely expresses their outrage over claims of collusion with a foreign
power claiming it undermines our "American democracy."
Yet they do not stop to consider that America is not indeed a democracy but rather a republic.
So partisan are these accusations that it seems when their very own is guilty of the
same, they fail to accuse or even hold accountable.
So where is the outrage over revelations that former secretary of state John Kerry held
not one but two secret meetings with Iran's foreign minister to strategize over how to
undermine President Donald Trump's plans to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal?
So Kerry cannot deny his participation.
Instead, Kerry has been defiant in his involvement, attempting to justify it.
Yet Kerry actively colluded with a sworn enemy of the United States to try to undermine the
foreign policy of the elected president of the United States.
Iran is a known terrorist state responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Americans in
Iraq with leadership holding rallies where thousands screaming – "D***h to America!"
Now in yet another twist because the opening the Jerusalem Embassy was going to cause turmoil
in the Middle East.
You know because they play so well together over there…Now an Iranian Group has offered
$100,000 to blow up that embassy.
A hardline Iranian organization is reportedly offering a $100,000 reward to any person who
bombs the newly opened U.S. embassy in Jerusalem, according to a translation of Farsi language
reports.
A group known as the Iranian Justice Seeker Student Movement is reported to have disseminated
posters calling for an attack on the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem, which has been opposed
by Palestinian and Iranian officials as an affront to the holy city.
"The Student Justice Movement will support anybody who destroy the illegal American embassy
in Jerusalem," the poster states in Farsi, Arabic, and English, according to an independent
translation of the propaganda poster provided to the Free Beacon.
There will be a "$100,000 dollar prize for the person who destroys the illegal American
embassy in Jerusalem," the poster states.
The call for an attack on the new embassy is just the latest escalation by hostile Islamic
states and leaders who have lashed out at the United States and President Donald Trump
for making good on a campaign promise to relocate the embassy from Tel Aviv to Israel's declared
capital city of Jerusalem.
News of the bomb threat was first reported by the University Student News Network, a
regional Farsi-language site that aggregates relevant news briefs.
"The Student Movement for Justice declared, 'Whoever bombs the embassy's building
will receive a $100,000 award,'" the report states.
"It is necessary to mention that the steps by Trump to transfer the US Embassy to Holy
Qods [Jerusalem] has led to the anger and hatred of Muslims and liberators throughout
the world.'"
Michael Rubin, a former Pentagon adviser and expert on rogue regimes, told the Washington
Free Beacon that terrorism of this nature is embedded in the Iranian regime's hardline
stance.
"Unfortunately, terrorism directed toward diplomats and embassies has become a central
pillar of the Islamic Republic's culture," Rubin said.
"Terrorism is lionized in Iranian schools.
This bounty is more the rule than the exception.
To blame Washington or Jerusalem is to blame the victim and give terrorists a veto over
U.S. policy."
Behnam Ben Taleblu, an research fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies,
described the poster as repulsive and blamed the Iranian ruling regime for fostering such
an attitude.
'This is nothing short of an invitation to a heinous act of an international terror
by a student group that looks up to the world's foremost state sponsor of terror—the Islamic
Republic of Iran,' he said."
Yes, if we had only just allowed the Iranians and their various terror cells and their subsidiaries
to have nuclear weaponry.
While the leftist progressive mainstream media attempts to sell the idea that every single
Middle Eastern country other than Israel is some sort of poor, downtrodden, misunderstood
nation of underdogs and martyrs for peace.
Except many of these factions have quite literally been warring for centuries and some of them
wish for nothing more than the utter genocide and extinction of all things Jewish.
When someone wants to deny your very right to exist it becomes rather hard to find common
ground.
According to Fox News –
"Kerry's meetings with Iran's leaders were not isolated incidents, but part of a
formal lobbying campaign that included phone calls with European Union leaders and meetings
with the presidents of Germany and France in which, the Globe reports, he discussed
'the details of sanctions and regional nuclear threats in both French and English.'
On Twitter, Trump suggested that Kerry might have violated the Logan Act, which says: 'Any
citizen of the United States … who, without authority of the United States, directly or
indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government
… with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government … in
relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures
of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three
years, or both.'
In fact, no one has been prosecuted under the Logan Act in more than 160 years, and
most conservative legal scholars consider it unconstitutional.
Although what Kerry did was probably not illegal, it was deeply hypocritical.
Recall that in 2015, when Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., and 46 other Republicans wrote to
Iran's leaders informing them of the Senate's constitutional role in approving international
agreements, Kerry was incensed.
"My reaction to the letter was utter disbelief," he said at the time.
"To write leaders in the middle of a negotiation … is quite stunning … [and] ignores more
than two centuries of precedent in the conduct of American foreign policy," Kerry said,
adding that he would never have interfered in that way "no matter what the issue and
no matter who was president."
What a difference three years make.
Cotton is a sitting United States senator.
The Senate has a constitutional role in foreign policy.
Kerry is a private citizen.
He has a constitutional role in nothing."
So Kerry conspires with known terrorists against the United States and her citizens.
If that isn't a violation of the Logan Act or even treason then I don't know what is.
What do you think about this?
