Jenna Bush Just Revealed Her Grandmother Barbara's Heartbreaking Final Words Before She Died.

In Barbara Bush's last days before passing, her children and grandchildren drew close

to her to spend the final days together.

Jenna Bush loved spending time with her grandmother, they had developed a special relationship

together. Jenna loved and admired her, she was especially fond of her grandparents 70

marriage.

After Barbara passed away, Jenna was asked to be on the Today Show where she gave an

emotional tribute to her grandmother.

According to People, Jenna Bush Hager paid a beautiful tribute to her late grandmother,

Barbara Bush, on Today, Thursday, reading an emotional letter to the former first lady

and updating well-wishers on how her grandfather, former President George H.W. Bush, is coping

with his wife's death.

The Today correspondent read the sweet message addressed directly to her grandmother, who

died at 92 on Tuesday, saying, "You are our family's rock, the glue that held us

together."

"I hope you know in your final days how many people prayed for you," said Jenna.

"How many people told me they loved you. People stopped me everywhere — in airports,

on the street — and declared their love for you."

Continued Jenna, "We called you the enforcer. It was because you were a force and you wrote

the rules. Your rules were simple: treat everyone equally, don't look down on anyone, use

your voices for good, read all the great books."

Jenna, 36, also opened up about her grandparents 73-year marriage, saying, "You and Gampy

embodied unconditional love." She added that she'll pass the couple's love letters

down to her own children "so they know what true devotion looks like."

The mom of two also revealed one of the former first lady's "final emails" to her,

that arrived with only "You" in the subject line.

"In the body of the email you wrote, 'I am watching you. I love you. Ganny.' "

After reading the end of the note, Jenna spoke to the Today co-anchors Savannah Guthrie and

Hoda Kotb, as well as Craig Melvin, from the phone, revealing that the Bush family is "doing

well" in the wake of their loss.

"It"s a mixture of waves of great gratitude of life well lived… and also for the tributes

that are pouring in," Jenna said, adding, "and then of course pangs of sadness because

she will be so dearly missed."

Of her grandfather, Jenna told the hosts, "He misses her of course."

"He loved her, he loves fiercely," she added of the former president, "but because

he loves so fiercely, I think in his own way, in his old age, he's trying to be the one

to make the jokes because he doesn't want us to worry about him."

In his first public statement since the former first lady's passing, the former president

said through his spokesman, Jim McGrath, on Wednesday: "I always knew Barbara was the

most beloved woman in the world, and in fact I used to tease her that I had a complex about

that fact.

"But the truth is the outpouring of love and friendship being directed at The Enforcer

is lifting us all up," the 93-year-old continued. "We have faith she is heaven, and we know

life will go on — as she would have it. So cross the Bushes off your worry list."

Jenna's tribute to her grandmother Barbara Bush was amazing. The former first lady was

well respected from both sides of the aisle. She was a classy lady articlate woman that

was clearly loved by her family. But the most remarkable part of Jenna's tribute was the

fierceness of George Bush's marriage to Barbara. It's rare to see a couple that

has been married for 70 years itis difneately a tribute their character.

Preview.

Oklahoma, who have captured the last two national championship and three titles in the last four years, are once again the team to beat.

The Sooners finished with the highest overall team score during regionals (198000), junior Nicole Lehrmann and sophomore Maggie Nichols are co-defending uneven bars champs (there was an unprecedented six-way tie last year), Nichols is a contender for the individual all-around crown this year, and they have five national All-Americans in total.

Joining No.

1 Oklahoma in their semifinal will be No.

4 Utah, No. 5 Florida, No.

8 Washington, No. 9 California and No.

12 Kentucky, with the top three teams advancing to Saturday's Super Six national championship.

On the other side of the bracket, LSU is the top team.

The Tigers have yet to claim a national championship in school history, but they've finished second to the Sooners in each of the last two years and will be looking to end that streak.

They have four All-Americans, led by Myia Hambrick, who is ranked No.

1 nationally on the floor and was one of just three gymnasts in the country to earn All-American accolades in all five disciplines (vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor, all-around).

Competing against the second-seeded Tigers in the semifinals will be No.

3 UCLA, No. 6 Alabama, No.

10 Arkansas, No. 11 Nebraska and No.

18 Georgia.

In the race for the individual all-around crown, Florida's Alex McMurtry will look to become the first back-to-back champ since Courtney Kupets accomplished that feat in 2006 and '07, but she'll have plenty of competition.

Nichols and Hambrick will be right in the mix, while other top contenders include Utah's MyKayla Skinner and MaKenna Merrell-Gilles, UCLA's Kyla Ross and LSU's Sarah Finnegan.

Nancy Kulp and My Uncle - Duration: 3:57.

Nancy Kulp and my uncle this is trip I want to tell you a really brief story

here about about the famous of the famous actress that my dad and my uncle

renew well Nancy carpet of course went on to become the the actress in several

movies and a whole bunch of TV series but she's best known as for the part of

Miss Jane miss Jane Hathaway in the Beverly Hillbillies who I know that

we've everybody seen she paid the part of the secretary to the banker mr.

Drysdale well Nancy was born in 1921 she died in she died in 1991 she was 70

years old Nancy was the same age as my uncle uncle

Donald well her family moved from up north down to Miami Beach in the early

30s at the same time that my family had just moved from Georgia down to Miami in

the mid in the late 20s and they went to school there together on Miami Beach

they Miami Beach at the time was was just becoming a real important social

social Mecca so there were a lot of wealthy people there there are movie

stars producers politicians actors actresses a lot of famous people that

that they that they knew at the time and/or who became famous later but they

were just kids going to school together anyway I guess as I remember dad telling

it the elementary school was right there on the beach and one day one day Nancy

and all of them are playing outside there and my uncle Donald had already

had done a lot of things to make Nancy really angry during the school year he

kind of picked on her and she was kind of kind of tomboys looking

I guess so you know how kids are they make fun of each other but anyway one

day Nancy got mad at my uncle and just started cursing him with a I guess some

really bad language which is maybe unusual for young people at the time to

use today it's pretty commonplace sadly enough but anyway it was kind of funny

and she gave him the real cussing out so anyway later on Nancy of course became a

movie star she went to well first she went to University of Miami she went to

Florida State and was a big FSU fan and then she joined the Naval Reserve in

1944 so she was in the reserve at the same time as my dad but my dad had gone

to World War 2 he was fighting that you fighting the Japanese in the Pacific and

he came back and joined the Naval Reserve in 1946 a couple years after

this cub did my dad thought we were gonna go to war with Russia and he

didn't want to be involved in and fighting the the Russians in Europe or

whatever but anyway that's another story that would love to tell his history with

all of that I thought it's kind of a quick little interesting story and I

love to hear about other folks who who've known famous people either knew

them whenever they got older or knew them whenever they were little went to

school with them whether it's actors or politicians actresses rock stars or

whatever I have some of those stories and some of you do too I'd love to hear

'Bullitt' Ford Mustang joins other American landmarks on the National Mall - Duration: 3:04.

For car enthusiasts, the 1968 Ford Mustang driven by Steve McQueen in Bullitt represents

everything that's great about America.

So it's appropriate that this movie icon will be displayed on the National Mall among

other American landmarks.

Through April 23, the Bullitt Mustang will displayed in an illuminated glass case located

between the National Art Gallery and the National Air & Space Museum.

The car's D.C. debut is part of the Historic Vehicle Association's Cars at the Capital

event, in which a different car is put on display about every week.

Other cars in the rotation this year include the Ferrari 250GT California Spyder replica

from Ferris Bueller's Day Off and the 15 millionth Ford — a 1927 Model T.

This Mustang is one of two used in the filming of Bullitt.

The second car, which was set up for the many jumps in the movie's famous car chase through

San Francisco, resurfaced in Mexico in 2017, stripped of some parts and in the process

of a rebuild.

Many doubted the other car was still around, let alone in virtually original condition.

On screen, the Mustang wore Highland Green paint, and lacked the badges and fog lights

that were installed at the factory.

But anyone can paint a car green and strip off the badges.

Telltale details, such as camera mounts, a Warner Bros. parking sticker, and missing

rear backup lights proved this car was the genuine article.

After filming, the car was sold off, and eventually wound up in the hands of Robert Kiernan, Jr.

McQueen himself tracked the Mustang down and made a half-hearted attempt to buy it back,

but Kiernan kept it, even using it as a daily driver for several years.

Kiernan died in 2014 and ownership passed to his son Sean, who worked with Ford to bring

the Mustang back into the spotlight.

Ford is launching a special-edition Bullitt Mustang to commemorate the movie's 50th

anniversary, so the timing for a comeback couldn't have been better.

The movie car appeared at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show earlier this year, marking the first

time it had been seen in public in decades.

Between the appearances in Detroit and D.C., Ford and the car's owner are making up for

lost time.
