Hey, I'm Aleš and November, in which many things happened, is already behind us.
Let's recapitulate it all.
While all the big tournaments like RLCS are finished, our Rocket League boys didn't have anything to play too.
Except for some 2v2 tournaments by Grunex, we could only play some ESL and ProRivalry online tournaments, without any exceptional achievement.
We played a few matches in Hitpoint Masters league in November.
We managed to win against teams like Majestic Lions, Eclot, tie up against Team Brute and because of underestimatement somehow lose against PWS.
Yeah.. That wasn't exactly what we wanted, but there was a great meme about it.
We need to highlight PWS's AD Carry Nardeus, because he simply smashed us.
Brno played a big role for us this month, because Czech Championship took place in there.
We managed to get in there with both CSGO and LoL team, and our goal was clear.
Fix our reputation after last year, where we didn't even manage to get out of groups.
This year, we had eSuba, Team Brute and Eclot in our group.
We played the first match against Eclot, BO1.
We managed to win that match without real problem and the next match we were supposed to play against eSuba, BO3.
Probably the best domestic team didn't have much of a problem with us, winning 2-0 and sending us to play for that 2nd play-off spot... Again against Eclot.
Eclot didn't defeat us this time and after 2 games, we came on top and succeeded to reach semifinals, where we were supposed to play against Inside Games.
This was the 3rd time we played against Inside Games... And the 3rd time we lost the first map... And the 3rd time we played deciding game about who is gonna win.
At the start, this game was quite an emotional rollercoaster for us.
We were losing at one moment and a moment later, we were winning again.
Later it became more one-sided for us because of our split-pushes.
After almost 40 minutes long game, we managed to win 2-1 and advance to the finals!
In the finals, we played against probably the best team in the whole Championship, eSuba.
We started at 9AM, a time somebody would consider as "midnight".
In the first game, we managed to pick quite strong composition.
However, some individual errors caused that eSuba could dictate the game tempo later in the game.
Getting Nashor in 20th minute was only a confirmation of that game tempo control.
It was going downhill ever since and after 30 minutes long game, we were losing 1-0.
In the second game, we wanted to focus more on our own game.
Avoid teamfights, in which eSuba was clearly better, and focus more on our split-pushing.
After 30 minutes and 2 Nashors for eSuba, we met in a pretty bizzare situation.
At our base, we had 4 eSuba players, while at the enemy's base, there was lonely Mortsche.
Unfortunately, our players couldn't resist eSuba long enough for Mortsche to destroy enemy's Nexus.
In the Championship, we ended 2nd and taking CZK25,000 back home.
We still take that as a huge improvement compared to last year, and also because of your great support through the tournament, both on Twitch and in Brno.
Thanks a lot and now we'll move on to CSGO team, which is our only section that went through some really important roster change.
Our new coach is now Ketubor, with whom we won last Czech Championship.
tecko still remains in the roster and we will inform you about how the things will go in the next weeks.
We spent the first days of November in Bucharest, Romania.
We played our probably the most important tournament so far, European Minor.
In which you can advance to the Main Major Qualifier, which tooks place in January.
We were in the position of outsiders in this tournament. A team that can only surprise.
To all of that, we were placed in the group of death, together with Space Soldiers, Optic and Pride.
On 3rd November, we played our first match, BO1 against Space Soldiers.
We knew how to play agains them. Preparation was in there, however experience wasn't.
We only played a few international LAN tournaments, and this particular thing caused that we were just nervous.
We didn't wanna make a mistake, and because of that we weren't able to play our typical, aggresive game.
We lost 16-8 against Space Soldiers and were supposed to play deciding match about keeping ourselves in the tournament.
Our biggest weakness is map pick, because we've got one map that we don't play at all and one map in which we can't play well enough.
Everytime we ban Nuke, our opponent wants to play Cache, and that's exactly what happened against Pride.
We actually showed quite good T side, where our teenager Frozen picked up brilliant 1v4 clutch, and we took 7 rounds in the half.
Unfortunately, our luck turned away when we switched sides.
We couldn't do almost anything in CT side, and lost 16-10.
Mirage, our probably the best map together with Inferno, followed.
There was a completely opposite scenario compared to Cache.
We only managed to pick up 4 rounds on T side and then we tried to comeback on CT side.
And it was actually going pretty well at the start.
Clutches were quite important in this one, the one we need to highlight is queztone's 1v3.
These actions took us to 12-12 score, where the breaking point took place.
Pride boys rushed middle to connector and then took control over A site.
Since then, it was just round after round.
We lost 16-12 and ended up last, together with Bulgarian Windigo.
However, it wasn't a failure for us.
We took a great experience back home and a chance to finally see that famous PGL Studio.
On 10th November, we were supposed to play the same tournament as our LoL team, Czech Championship.
Team Universe, Majestic Lions and Eclot were the other teams in our group.
It wasn't actually that hard to get through there, after winning 16-6 against Eclot and 2-0 against Universe, we managed to advance to play-off from the 1st place.
In the semifinals, it wasn't much harder, with Frozen having 47 kills in 44 rounds.
We were facing Dark Tigers, against which we at first won Nuke 16-10 and then won Train 16-2.
However, everybody was waiting for Czech El Classico, eXtatus vs eSuba.
We were coming as favourites into this match.
However, eSuba managed to surprise us once again and took Inferno after 2 overtimes, 22-20.
We need to highlight Henkky in here, because he played like a beast.
Mirage, in which we were unstoppable, followed.
We won 16-4 and took this series into the 3rd map, which happened to be Nuke.
And to be honest, this map was great.
It didn't look that well at the start.
We were losing 4-1 on T side, then we started to come back a little bit. We ended the half with a score of 9-6 in favor of eSuba.
However, everybody knows that Nuke is a CT map, so we were still expected to win.
Pistols helped us comeback to a 9-9 score.
That was also a round in which probably the biggest fail of the whole tournament took place.
We were in 2v4 situation. There were 20 seconds remaining when Queztone managed to kill Cannie, who was carrying the bomb.
The bomb was lying down on the floor for a solid 15 seconds, until fredi took it and went on to plant it.
However, it was too late.
eSuba lost a round that should've been theirs and gave us the lead.
We happily used that in our advantage, took another 5 rounds and were 1 round off of victory.
eSuba however didn't want to give us the victory, and tried to comeback... And it went well for them at the start.
A few rounds in the row eSuba was ahead, until 29th round, 15-13.
Everybody would think that both teams are gonna be careful about what they're doing, however eSuba had another plans.
They rushed A without any open kill and something, that would be best described as "slaughterhouse", followed.
Without losing a player, we won that round and the whole Championship.
We took CZK60,000 back home and for some of us, the 3rd title of Czech Champion.
We had a pretty good time in ESEA Premier too.
After finishing all the matches we were supposed to play, we were on the last advancing position, so it was sure we'll get to the play-offs.
We faced Fragsters in the quarterfinals.
Everyone played their game and because of that, we were able to win 2-1 on Mirage, after winning Train andlosing Nuke.
We advanced to the semifinals, in which we were facing Space Soldiers, once again.
Mirage was the first map and we started on T side, and to surprise you all, we won the half quite convincingly, 10-5.
CT side followed, and despite our past, we managed to keep our heads down and won the map 16-6.
Partly because of Montty, he played insanely good.
Cobblestone, Space Soldiers's pick, followed.
After the first half, that we won 9-6, Turks started to get into the game, maybe a little too much.
At first, they won the pistol round, and after getting this game to a 9-9 score, they decided that it's not enough for them.
It was 14-11 when we thought to ourselves that we don't like this, and with the help of well playing Frozen, we brought the game into an overtime... And a 2nd OT.
It took 44 rounds to decide who's gonna be the winner, and we came out on top after winning 22-20.
Because of that win, we managed to get to the ESEA Global Challenge, LAN tournament with $50,000 prizepool, taking place in LA, California, in January 2018.
Together with us, teams like AGO, Space Soldiers, or GX, home of probably one of the brightest stars of American scene Braxton "swag" Pierce, qualified.
That will be it for this month, we hope that you liked that one. Thank you once again for your support in Czech Championship, and also for your interest in team merch.
