Oregon's Secretary of State Audits Division ASL Version

Reporting Oregon government fraud waste or abuse. Acts of fraud, waste or abuse in Oregon government

hurt our ability to serve citizens.

Whether or not you are a state employee, the Oregon

Audits Division wants to know if you have concerns

about government waste and inefficiency.

A confidential service is available for you to report concerns online.

Here are examples of situations to report.

Fraud: This includes theft or misuse of state money equipment or supplies or accepting a bribe.

Waste: This includes needless or careless spending of state funds, purchasing unneeded supplies

or equipment or purchasing goods at inflated prices.

Abuse: This includes using one's position in a State Department to gain advantage

over another person.

This can also include abuse of state time, such as

unauthorized time away from work or significant use of state time for personal business.

There are several options for ways to report.

A page for the Oregon Government Waste Hotline will appear.

It is hosted by a third-party vendor.

If your concern is about misuse of public assistance,

use the link in the second paragraph for the DHS Fraud Referral Database.

Otherwise, click on Report a Concern.

Please complete the online form to the best of your ability.

You will have an opportunity to provide your name and contact information

or you can remain anonymous.

Select which option you want and click the Submit Report button to submit.

Once you submit the report, please keep a record of the

information on screen, including your report number and confirmation number.
