USA news on Youtube Nov 20 2018

James Woods tried to help someone on Twitter who claimed to be suicidal. (Photo: Getty Images) James Woods's return to Twitter has had a lot of positives

The actor, who received kudos for being a "one-man state-wide info network" when the California wildfires broke out, tried to help someone else in need on Monday

A person claiming to be a veteran posted a suicidal message on social media and Woods — as well as many others — tried to help him

The person tweeted, "I'm on Twitter every day, I retweet all the time but this is the first tweet I've ever written

I'm a veteran, I love America. I'm gonna kill my self tonight. I've lost everything I have nobody, nobody cares

I'm in a parking lot with my dog and everything I own. Bye." Woods was among those to try to reach out — sending him messages, following him so they could DM each other and contacting authorities

Not only did Woods try to ascertain where the person was to get authorities to assist, he tried to connect with the man by talking about his beloved dog, who was pictured on his page and was mentioned, to start a dialogue

Woods also referenced alarmingly high suicide rate of veterans. Approximately 20 vets a day take their lives across the country — and veterans accounted for 14 percent of all adult suicide deaths in the U

S. in 2016. Woods, who has been driving cross-country to California, from the East Coast, urged the person to call him in his motel room

He said he had all night to chat, and revealed that he has suffered from depression as well

The next posts were after the person's Twitter account was temporarily suspended per Twitter's policy

However, Woods kept trying. Then he connected with authorities in several locales to try to assist

At that point, he learned that police were "all over" it

usa today : Tekashi 6ix9ine Is A Member Of 'Violent' NYC Gang, Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, Federal Pr - Duration: 3:11.

We're learning a lot about 6ix9ine following his Nov. 18 arrest, mainly, that he is allegedly part of a murderous New York City gang

Tekashi 6ix9ine, 22, spits some hard verses in his songs, and apparently, they're coming from a place of experience

As Page Six reports, the rapper has lived a life of hard crime, and for years, has been a member of the 'violent' street crew, Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, according to federal prosecutors in Manhattan

The gang has been accused of murders, robberies and other crimes throughout the Brooklyn borough of New York City

The shocking news comes after 6ix9ine was arrested on racketeering and firearms charges on Nov

18.    The rapper, whose legal name is Daniel Hernandez, is now serving time at a general population prison in Brooklyn, according to TMZ

Despite his viral success of "Fefe," and a forthcoming music video with Kanye West, and Nicki Minaj, 6ix9ine is not getting any special treatment

The jail, Metropolitan Detention Center, is notoriously brutal, according to the publication, and has even been labeled as having inmates that are "extremely dangerous, violent, or escape-prone," according to the U

S. Justice Department.  Tekashi's arrest comes after a 5 year investigation from the prosecution, reports Rolling Stone

Due to the charges, the rapper is facing a mandatory minimum sentence of 32 years in prison, they said

"Members and associates of the Enterprise promoted and celebrated the criminal conduct of the Enterprise, namely narcotics distribution, acts involving violence, and the use of firearms, in music and on social media," prosecutors said

"The purposes of the Enterprise included preserving and protecting the power, territory, and profits of the Enterprise through acts involving murder… and threats of violence," they added, when speaking of the gang

HollywoodLife has reached out to the rapper's publicist and lawyer for comment.  The rapper is also being charged with possession of an AR-15, and involvement in two additional shootings: One at Brooklyn's Barclays Center where he was performing, and another in which he allegedly ordered the shooting of a bystander at a Brooklyn housing project, Rolling Stone reports

On top of this, the gang he is affiliated with allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint in Times Square in April, in an attack that prosecutors said was filmed, by Tekashi himself, according to the New York Times

It's been a rough couple weeks for 6ix9ine. It was just this past Nov. 8 that a shooting broke out on the set of Tekashi's new music video, sending people fleeing from the scene

Filming was halted, however, no one was injured.

usa today : Melania Tp Wears Unique Coat To Turkey Pardoning & People Think She Looked Like The - Duration: 3:16.

The birds were the stars of the White House Turkey Pardon, but they had some competition from Melania! See her coat, and the hilarious tweets about her looking like the turkeys!    First Lady Melania Trump marked her second White House turkey pardoning by wearing a brown coat decorated in a geometric print, a departure from her getup in 2017

While she looked gorgeous, as always, the outfit was a little… unique. In fact, some on Twitter thought it was a little too similar to the guests of honor, Peas and Carrots

Yes, they thought her coat resembled the turkeys themselves! And, you know what? They're not wrong

When the coat is closed, the red circles and long rectangles kind of resemble a turkey's distinctive red beak and wattle

Oops! Combined with the brown color, It was just a little too similar for anyone's taste

Of course, the jokes started rolling in on Twitter. "Melania at this turkey pardoning looking like she's just waiting to hear her own name," @FeministaJones tweeted

"Watching trump at turkey press conference. Is it just me or Is Melania trying to compete with Peas & Carrots with the coat she is wearing?" @cotey_mary wrote

Some quipped that she was dressed that way so that her husband would pardon her, too!    Last year, Melania rolled up in an autumn-inspired outfit that inspired some divided opinions

For the record, HollywoodLife is on Team Melania for this one. The outfit consisted of a burnt orange turtleneck sweater, a high-waisted brown skirt, her signature, massive heels, and a brocade, floral longline coat

Sure, some people likened the coat to Kim Kardashian's infamous "couch" dress from the Met Gala that one year, but she made it work

"Pardon me turkey, I believe I'll steal your wardrobe" – Melania Trump pic.twitter

"S'cuse me. I am turkey. Please pardon." pic.twitter.com/LHLnV4IrRD  — 6 Tweets/Year (@Freemealwill) November 20, 2018    Her 2018 outfit is refreshing, considering the hella weird sartorial choices she's made in the past few months

Her truly terrible trip throughout Africa was filled with bizarre outfits, including, of all things, a f**king pith helmet during a safari

Even without the racial politics that come with wearing the helmet, she looked like an extra in Jumanji

Then, there was this getup that she donned in Egypt, which was extremely "undercover nazi trying to steal the holy grail from Indiana Jones and his dad

"

How to Write a Formal Email in Italian - Learn Italian Formulas and Rules to Send an Email - Duration: 9:58.

Hi everyone! Today, instead of dealing with a grammar topic, we decided to

make a sort of tutorial on: HOW TO WRITE A FORMAL EMAIL. Yeah, nowadays, anyone

sooner or later finds himself/herself having to write an email to a professor, employer or

to a person we don't know... But don't worry: with this video, you won't have any other

problem writing a formal email!

Let's start immediately! The first thing to keep in mind when writing an email is the subject.

In fact, the subject is the first thing that

our recipient will read! So, if not written well, it risks not attracting attention

or worse, throw away your email as spam. And we don't want the email to be

trashed even before opening it, right? So, to prevent our email

from being deleted, we must always write a subject that is clear, explicit

and concise. That is, with a few simple words that describe the content of our email,

without too manh details. Therefore, if for example we have to submit a job application

and we need to send an email with our curriculum vitae, the subject

could be: "Candidatura lavoro" or "Curriculum Vitae". Simple and concise. But now let's move on

to the actual email! First of all, we need to take care of greetings, because we can't

start our formal email with a simple "ciao"! Oh no, when we write a formal email

we must first use an adjective to express reverence (as it can be

for example EGREGIO, SPETTABILE, GENTILE), followed by the title and the name of our recipient.

EGREGIO and SPETTABILE are more appropriate when you are writing to a person who

you don't know at all or who deserves particular reverence. So, for example, the rector

of a university, a potential employer or, I don't know, the President of the Republic.

While GENTILE is more suitable when we already know the person we are writing to

and we have some kind of relationship. I'll give an example, if we write to one of our professors,

with whom perhaps we have already spoken earlier, we can use at the beginning the adjective

GENTILE. Or if by chance we have to write to one of our work colleague, with whom

we aren't friends, but we already know each other. As for the title instead, if

we don't know the role of our recipient, we can simply write "signore"

or "signora" using these abbreviations. If we know his/her role, we can

use his/her profession directly, then write for example "professore", "professoressa".

Or "dottore", "dottoressa" with these abbreviations, and so on. At this point, it will be enough to add

the name and surname of the recipient or simply the surname, followed by a comma.

Therefore, we could start our email by writing: "Gentile professor Rossi", comma,

or "Egregio dottor Mario Pinco", comma, and so on. Ah... but there's another formula too!

"ALLA CORTESE ATTENZIONE DI". This formula can be used in all cases, but

it's perfect when we aren't writing to a person, but for example to an office.

In this case, in fact, it would be a little inappropriate to use one of the adjectives mentioned

previously. Yes, in fact, for example, we could, in case we had bought a

faulty product, want to write an email to the sales department or the complaints office

starting with the formula "Alla cortese attenzione del reparto commerciale" or "Alla

cortese attenzione dell'ufficio reclami". Well, finish greetings, start a new sentence and

start writing the body of the email! In the body you must, in case the person doesn't

know you, start with your short presentation. Then you can

proceed, if the person doesn't expect an email, apologizing, for example with a formula

come "Sperando di non arrecarle alcun disturbo..." and then proceed going straight to the point

explaining the reason why you are writing the email. Yes, for example, "Le scrivo

in merito a...", "La contatto per illustrarle...", "Le scrivo questa email perché...". Ah, and

don't forget to always use the form of courtesy, that is the formal Lei, and,

consequently, conjugate all verbs in the 3rd person singular. Other small tips

that we can give you are: be clear but brief. You aren't writing a novel,

but an email! So don't risk boring your recipient! And don't forget

to be organized. So, as a result, try to divide the body of the email into

paragraphs. It will certainly be smoother. Pay attention to punctuation and to

lexicon, but also to spelling and grammar. You don't want to give a bad impression, do you? In this

regard, if you have already written an email but you have doubts and want to correct it before

sending it, you can write it here in the comments and we will correct it! Right? Sure!

And finally, I remind you to always report the possible presence of attachments, with formulas like for

example "Allego alla presente il file con...". Finally, once the body of the email is finished, it's necessary

to go to the final greetings. How to be taken formally? The most used formulas are:

"Distinti saluti", "Cordiali saluti" or "Cordialmente". But you can also use formulas

to invite the recipient to reply. Like for example "In attesa di un suo cortese

riscontro, la saluto cordialmente" Or "In attesa di una sua cortese risposta, la

saluto distintamente". Immediately after, a nice comma and a full stop! So, sign with

your name and surname! Perfect! Now your email is ready to be sent. However,

if you want to check or take a look at a complete example of a formal email, just go

to our website, where you can read it calmly. Ah, but don't forget

also to follow us on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages for many other tips

and useful contents! See you next time! Bye!

This is What Our Future Will Look Like - Why Singapore is 20 Years Ahead of Europe and the US - Duration: 12:59.

Hey tribe, it's Jonas here from Singapore Airport and in this video you're gonna

find out what the future looks like. Ok, I'm not kidding! I'm here in Singapore

and this country is insane! 2030 years ahead of everything that I've seen so

far and this is what's going to happen probably everywhere in some places

sooner, some places later but this is what the future look like.. looks like and

guys what I've seen here in the last few days, I'm going to share this in this

video. It's really fucking mind-blowing!

I came here because I had to beat one of my team members his name is Michi and

he is taking care for a lot of projects at the moment. So I had to come here to

talk to him about the business but then you know I also took a few days to just

explore the city and see what's happening here and the first impression

when you come to the airport is wow it's so well designed. This Airport is really

really modern. Things work really well. So that's already the first impression when

you land and then you know the this entire city is just really beautiful,

modern high-tech lot of skyscrapers very very clean. Some things here that are

really fucking awesome and some things that are a little bit terrifying and I

will give you an insight in both because this is what most likely it's gonna

happen everywhere else in Europe, in the States as well very soon Singapore's

just a little bit ahead so some of the things that were really really cool so

we did this escape the room VR with VR glasses I will share about this more in

a second but this was this was really like one of the most incredible things

that I've ever done in my life before we did that actually we went to the science

and art museum and the science and art museum you know there's a good reason

why it's called science and art it's really the perfect combination of

futuristic technology like all this virtual reality things all this lights

all this you know really really cool modern things connected with art so this

is

nice house so in this place you can basically come flush yourself I can wait

here

and then there are little everyday things for example when we arrived at

the hotel there was robot and this is no kidding there was actually a robot that

looked like r2d2 from Star Wars and this robot is supposed to bring stuff to your

room or whenever you want to bring something down to the reception or if

you need something you just send the robot.

No way!

Now before I share more about this crazy VR experience that we had in the green

screen one thing that was really cool is I passed one bridge in the city center

and I've never minded I reminded myself but I have been to exactly the same

bridge five years ago over my best friend Matt and we took a picture there

then we were traveling backpackers super broke and back then we said okay

one day we want to have his lifestyle of traveling all the time so we have to

build some business we have to build something that allows us to work

remotely and to come back to amazing places like this and now actually five

years later I I came back and it just reminded our trip that we had here and

now you know him and me we both run our business we both are able to travel

wherever we are we can work and it reminded me you know passing the spot on

this bridge it reminded me how important it is to have a goal and to understand

where you want to go

then one thing that is actually a little bit scary here in Singapore and I hope

that this is not going to be the future everywhere is there a lot of security

cameras wherever you go there are like four five six cameras next to each other

wherever you go in the entire city doesn't matter if it's underground if

it's you know in the city centre if it's at the airport wherever you go you will

always be covered by cameras so I mean probably the crime crime rate here is

really low but also you know this entire city is covered with camera civilians so

it's impossible to do something without you know Authority seeing that another

thing I was a little bit worried about is we were in this grab car which is

similar to Oberer and they had these TV screens in the back there is this theory

that one day all the car is gonna be self-driving and they're gonna be for

free and the way that they are financed is that during the ride you have to

watch ads so instead of you know watching the traffic

you just watch ads commercials and this is how all the cars are financed and the

idea is that instead of you know everybody owning one car and paying for

this and not using this eighty ninety percent of the day because usually we

only use the car once twice three times a day and all the cars are shared and

you don't even have to pay to use them and you just watch ads so this is the

theory and here in Singapore you know we can already see

the first step in this direction so here and grab what we do is if we want or not

there is gonna be ads during the ride and really looks like we're actually

going towards this direction where you know things will get cheaper and easier

but at the same time you know there will be ads shown to us all the time it's the

same with online marketing you know when you put in your email address for free

or you do some free masterclass free online course free webinar whatever it

is maybe you sign up to some newsletter and basically what you give away is your

contact information so that people can mark it to you that they can send you

that they can send you emails or or ad or something like this or they can

retarget you with Facebook ads all these things so this is basically you get

something for free you get value for free which is cool but at the same time

you're gonna get a lot of apps so this is what our world is moving towards and

here in Singapore is already reality offline so not only online but it's

already happening offline as well and then one other thing that I should

mention is that Singapore is really expensive I guess that you know quality

just has its price and yes they are a hat everything is really awesome here

but also you have to pay a lot more than in most other places and now let's talk

about this amazing amazing thing that we did that is you know escape the room but

with this VR classes

okay so I'm the captain this is a really and

it looks like this is thanking our guns our suits wow that's a little technology

if you wanna get like real money corrected and I love putting on the

glass was we all looked a little bit like ghostbusters here

so was it amazing really it's I think it shit I'm sorry

so fast some feedback she's crying for help like crazy lady was crying at home

no one was helping her except me and she was this that thing on my show that like

good this is some next-level shit that was absolutely insane you can't believe

it it's so real you're in there it's so real it's really unbelievable and be

sure that these things you see the other people around you you can touch them you

can you know like give each other stuff but if you're in this virtual world

you're entirely somewhere else it's like being on drugs

you're an entirely different world and yeah now we're riding around here like

you can see it's what it looks like for us and what it looks like in the future

world so this is what it looked like for us

and this is what we saw we saw each other with different characters you are

in a different world I mean you know that this is not real but your brain

forgets it you really feel like you know like it succeed and suddenly everything

looks different suddenly you're in a different place you have a gun in your

hand and then there's enemies coming towards your Essam beasts you shoot them

and it feels so real it's crazy you see the other players you can touch them

because you know they really exist but they look different in this world and

you can you know interact with each other it's just really really next-level

stuff you are in a different planet it's like playing you know Call of Duty like

shooter game but you're actually there you're actually walking you can crunch

down you can jump you can you know move around look around it's insane I've

never seen experienced something like this it was really mind-blowing so if

you ever come here to Singapore do it for us it was so amazing that you know

they had two different rooms two different kind of levels and after we've

done the first one we're like fuck we have to do the second one so one hour

later we came back and we just did the next room because it was really

mind-blowing and seriously one of the most amazing things I've ever done in my life.

And then there was another very little everyday life thing that happened when

we went to this sushi place so they had the trains and you basically order on

the iPad and then the train is coming to you so there are no waiters anymore so

basically what they did here is they outsource waiters and replaced them with

technology so here the way it works is your order here on the on the tablet and

then you fill up the Train by putting things inside and then the trendy part

is and then hopefully arrives here okay so here is the train coming

that's really cool this is actually a very controversial topic you know like

is that good is that something that we want to have that people are replaced

with robots and with machines but you know whatever side you take in this

discussion in this argument either way this is what's happening he already you

know people are getting replaced with technology I mean for us as the customer

for me it's a cool fun experience right you go to the restaurant you're like oh

awesome you order on the iPad and then the train is arriving so that's fun but

you know there's a bigger thing behind that and this is that you know people

are getting out sourced and replaced with machines and computers honestly

guys the city is just really really really interesting it's so different

it's far ahead it's really you know me as a European I always thought that we

are ahead of most other countries but coming to Singapore it really seems like

we're still living in the Stone Age these guys here they're really they

taken a lot of things to the next level so yeah definitely come here and check

this out once if you want to see what the future looks like in the next week's

I'm gonna be traveling a lot I'm gonna go to Hong Kong and then the week after

to Tokyo which I heard is a really really crazy and different place as well

and after that I'm going to to Bali where are we gonna have this big villa

20 intrapreneurs working together on their business and I'm gonna document

all of this here in this channel so if you want to see that if you want to be

part of this subscribe to me right now would be really amazing to see you in

the next videos and share more insights like the one that I shared today and you

know hopefully see you in the next one. Take care, Cheers!
