IMPEACHMENT TRUMP ANNOUNCEMENT SENDS SHOCKWAVES THROUGH DC
The anti-Trump resistance has not been going well.
At every corner, they have faced intense losses.
But that could change after they finally got what they've been waiting for.
Move Over Soros, A New Funder Is In Town
For many years the left has been relying on massive piles of money that George Soros has
thrown around to support their causes.
Through his Open Society Foundation, the billionaire has supported countless left-wing causes,
even ones with links to Antifa and outright socialism.
But beyond him, they haven't had many other donors at the same caliber.
They have always relied on elitist billionaires, but none have made donations to the extreme
like Soros regularly does.
That is until this year when billionaire hedge fund manager Tom Steyer began throwing tens
of millions into the cause to impeach Trump.
He has pledged over $100 million to support two organizations working to impeach Trump.
But he isn't done.
The one thing that the left really needs is not one person dumping a massive amount of
money, but somebody else like Soros who will continually fund operations of left-wing groups.
And Steyer has officially pledged to drop another $10 million on top of the $100 million
he recently pledged.
He is hoping to spend this money going into the November midterm elections to support
Democrats who agree with his cause of impeaching President Trump.
The announcement of the additional funding came on a Facebook live video where it was
also announced that 6 million people have signed to support him.
November Is the Left's Time To Shine
If Democrats have any chance to impeach Trump, they will need to take back the House and
Senate come November.
While it is unlikely they will take back the Senate, the House is a very real possibility.
Democrats have recently pinpointed 15 districts that they need to flip, where they think it
will guarantee a Democrat majority.
But on the Senate side, they will be lucky to not lose any seats that they currently
hold.
In Missouri and Montana in particular, incumbent Democrat senators are doing very poorly compared
to past elections.
Both Missouri and Montana went handsomely to Trump in 2016, so with the Democrats fully
embracing the anti-Trump resistance, polling is only becoming more favorable for Republicans.
But massive money drops from people like Steyer could even change things in those states.
While money isn't everything in these races, it sure will be a big help.
2018 Strategy: Obstruct, Obstruct, Obstruct
If Democrats are able to take back the House, but not the Senate, it will still be very
bad for Trump and could harm his prospects in 2020.
With a majority in the House, Democrats will be in a position to obstruct Trump on his
entire agenda.
While Trump is doing very well in the public's eye currently, that could change if Congress
becomes gridlocked.
If the major wins of the past two years stop coming in, and the economic boost of Trump's
policies start to slow, 2020 could become very difficult for Trump when he runs for
re-election.
Tom Steyer's money will play a big part in that.
Do you think that Democrats will take back the House in November?
