Attorney General Jeff Sessions Caught Trying to Take Down Trump – PAYS THE ULTIMATE PRICE
BREAKING: Jeff Sessions just betrayed Donald Trump and the GOP, but it won't end well
for him.
Over the past year, it's become clear that Jeff Sessions is an incredibly inept Attorney
General.
This was reinforced once again this week when Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck
Grassley ripped into Sessions for launching a pre-emptive strike on his criminal justice
bill.
Politico reported that the legislation, which Grassley has been working on for two years,
is expected to be approved by the committee today.
However, Sessions just wrote a letter warning that the bipartisan proposal "risks putting
the very worst criminals back into our communities."
"It's Senator Sessions talking, not a person whose job it is to execute law, and
quite frankly I'm very incensed," Grassley responded.
Grassley went on to say that what Sessions "doesn't recognize here, and why I'm
incensed about it is, look at how hard it was for me to get him through committee in
the United States Senate.
And look at, when the president was going to fire him, I went to his defense."
He added that "all kinds of" potentially polarizing Justice Department nominees who
have proved "very difficult to get through the United States Senate" have also landed
in his lap as chief of the influential Judiciary Committee.
"If he wanted to do this," Grassley said of Sessions, "he should have done what people
suggested to him before: resign from attorney general and run for the Senate in Alabama
again.
We'd have a Republican senator."
Grassley was referring to the fact that Democrat Doug Jones won the special election against
Republican Roy Moore to replace the Senate seat left vacated by Sessions.
