The USA probably couldn't have dreamed up much of a better start than this one.

After beating heated rival and arguably tournament favorite Canada via shootout in the opener, the Americans avoided a hangover after that emotional win with a 4-0 drubbing of hosts Denmark the next day.

The latter was a dominant effort, as Team USA got an early goal from Will Butcher and rolled from there.

"[It was] night and day from today and yesterday," forward Cam Atkinson said.

"I thought we kept it simple.

We didn't force pucks.

We were a lot crisper.".

The Americans have gotten big contributions from Chris Kreider (one goal, three assists), Cam Atkinson (two goals, one assist) and Dylan Larkin (two goals) on the offensive end, while Keith Kinkaid has been nothing short of fantastic in goal.

The Devils goalkeeper has faced 64 shots on goal yet allowed just four in between the pipes.

That 93.75 save percentage is third best in the tournament behind Russia's Vasili Koshechkin and Sweden's Magnus Hellberg.

On the flip side, Germany has lost in shootouts to both Denmark and Norway.

It's not an ideal start, obviously, but getting two points keeps them alive in their quest for a third straight trip to the quarterfinals.

There is just significantly less margin for error now, and a positive result against the United States is going to be close to critical.

Ultimately, Team USA should be expected to keep up their winning ways, but they should also expect a big fight with Germany's backs against the walls.

That should make for an entertaining affair.

Senator John McCain's health has been deteriorating in recent months after last years diagnosis.

His illness has kept him home in Arizona for the most part over the last year.

While his office in Washington D.C. and in Arizona have been keeping up with the ongoing

work he has been doing.

However, while he has been at home he has been working on a memoir and an HBO documentary.

In both, he has made some startling revelations.

Breitbart News reported,

"Sen. John McCain reportedly regrets choosing former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his

running mate in 2008.

In an upcoming HBO documentary, McCain reportedly says that choosing Palin over Joe Lieberman

was "another mistake" that he made during his political career, according to a Saturday

New York Times report.

In his upcoming book, Restless Wave, McCain reportedly recalls "that his advisers warned

him that picking a vice-presidential candidate" in Lieberman ", who caucused with Democrats

and supported abortion rights would divide Republicans and doom his chances."

"It was sound advice that I could reason for myself," he reportedly writes.

"But my gut told me to ignore it and I wish I had."

Palin galvanized conservatives and working-class voters, who were fed up with both political

parties when she was put on the ticket, and she was the only reason McCain even had a

fighting chance of defeating Barack Obama in 2008, the McCain-Palin ticket took a two-point

lead after the Republican National Convention.

Voters ultimately vote for the top of the ticket, though, and McCain lost the election

in large part because his incompetent and in-over-their-head advisers like Nicolle Wallace,

and Steve Schmidt decided to infamously go "all-in" by suspending his campaign during

the financial crisis.

McCain's hacks, who allowed McCain to go to White House meetings about the financial

crisis without being fully prepared or briefed about Trouble Asset Relief Program, somehow

managed to make a freshman Senator seem more presidential than the distinguished war hero

and veteran legislator.

After the 2008 election, Palin gave a voice to blue-collar conservatives who were ignored

by the GOP establishment that had nothing but disdain, and contempt for them and the

issues they cared about like illegal immigration.

The former Alaska Governor also made it possible for an economic nationalist and outsider candidate

like Donald Trump, to eventually crush the Republican establishment in the 2016 primaries,

and then shock the elites in the bipartisan permanent political class in the general election.

The Republican establishment, sensing the existential threat that Palin represented

long before Trump's rise, promptly tried to do everything to undermine her influence,

previewing what they would try to do to Trump eight years later.

Last year, I highlighted nine prominent ways in which Palin was a trailblazer for Donald

Trump's rise, and former President Barack Obama, whose head Palin lived in rent-free

for much of his time in the White House, also observed that there is a "straight line"

from Palin to Trump.

"I see a straight line from the announcement of Sarah Palin as the vice-presidential nominee

to what we see today in Donald Trump, the emergence of the Freedom Caucus, the tea party,

and the shift in the center of gravity for the Republican Party," Obama said."

Palin has never been one to shy away from the limelight even after she lost the election

with McCain.

She's someone who over the years has been rumored to want to run for president but never

has.

But she recently came out and said that if the opportunity arose, again she would pounce

on the chance to run for Vice President again.

Politico reported,

"Heck yeah," said Palin, who was Republican nominee John McCain's running mate in his

2008 presidential bid against then-Democratic nominee Barack Obama.

"I would do it again in a heartbeat."

In a conversation with conservative commentator Mark Levin on Fox News, Palin said she was

glad to have been chosen by the McCain camp but still harbored a few regrets from the

run-up to the election."I'd have pushed back harder on some of those who were trying

to mold me into something that I was not during the campaign," she said.

"I would have pushed back and gotten more truth out there."

Palin, a supporter of President Donald Trump, also revealed the "political, practical"

reasons she believes she was chosen as McCain's vice presidential candidate.

"He probably knew that they needed someone younger, needed a female and needed a true

conservative to balance everything else out," she said.

"They were smart enough to have chosen someone with a lot of administrative experience that

was my career."

Palin's frequent campaign stumbles, unpreparedness for the national spotlight and clashes with

McCain campaign personnel were the subject of much reporting, and skepticism during the

2008 race, and were depicted in the 2012 HBO film "Game Change.""

While John McCain maintains his high profile there should be some accountability.

Instead of blaming other people around him he should accept responsibility for the fact,

that he chose Sarah Palin as his vice presidential candidate.

If he has anyone to blame, he should blame himself.

He tried, he failed, and there is no shame in that.

But there is shame in trying to blame it or pass it off on someone else.

Bob Goodlatte and Trey Gowdy are asking Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his Deputy Director

Rod Rosenstein for all documents regarding Daniel Richman.

Richman was the friend that Comey gave his memos to for the New York Times to leak in

May of 2017.

The Comey memo leak was, in part, to secure a special counsel.

The Daily Caller reports, "Comey has said that his goal was to force the appointment

of a special counsel to continue the Russia investigation."

It has been discovered that there is now proof that one piece of classified information was

in one of the memos Comey handed over to his friend.

And the lawmakers are asking for proof of Richman's security clearance.

As reported by the Daily Caller:

"Virginia Rep. Bob Goodlatte and South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy, the GOP chairmen of the House

Judiciary and House Oversight and Government Reform Committees, are asking Attorney General

Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein for Richman's work records

as well as information regarding his security clearance.

Comey gave Richman four memos that he wrote after his meetings and conversations with

Trump.

Two of the documents contain classified information.

Comey redacted classified portions of one of the memos before giving it to Richman.

The Justice Department recently determined that another one of the memos contained classified

information that Comey did not redact.

The Justice Department's Office of the Inspector General is investigating Comey's handling

of the documents."

Comey's interviews with Bret Baier on Fox News Channel earlier this month.

Trey Gowdy (SC-R) then gives an excellent synopsis of the Comey discrepancies on the

Tucker Carlson Tonight show.

Furthermore, Gowdy points out the information in transcripts versus what Comey is saying

now.

Moreover, Gowdy says, "Jim Comey has a definition of the word LEAK that no one else has.

What he says is a leak, is what the rest of us call a felony.

Leaking is disclosing confidential conversation which is EXACTLY what

he

did."

President Trump on Monday called out former Secretary of State John Kerry for conducting

He was the one that created this MESS in the first place!"

On Friday, the Boston Globe revealed the details of Kerry's shadow diplomacy.

WASHINGTON — John Kerry's bid to save one of his most significant accomplishments

as secretary of state took him to New York on a Sunday afternoon two weeks ago, where,

more than a year after he left office, he engaged in some unusual shadow diplomacy with

a top-ranking Iranian official.

He sat down at the United Nations with Foreign Minister Javad Zarif to discuss ways of preserving

the pact limiting Iran's nuclear weapons program.

It was the second time in about two months that the two had met to strategize over salvaging

a deal they spent years negotiating during the Obama administration, according to a person

briefed on the meetings.

With the Iran deal facing its gravest threat since it was signed in 2015, Kerry has been

on an aggressive yet stealthy mission to preserve it, using his deep lists of contacts gleaned

during his time as the top US diplomat to try to apply pressure on the Trump administration

from the outside.

President Trump, who has consistently criticized the pact and campaigned in 2016 on scuttling

it, faces a May 12 deadline to decide whether to continue abiding by its terms.

Kerry also met last month with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and he's been on

the phone with top European Union official Federica Mogherini, according to the source,

who spoke on the condition of anonymity to reveal the private meetings.

Kerry has also met with French President Emmanuel Macron in both Paris and New York, conversing

over the details of sanctions and regional nuclear threats in both French and English.

The rare moves by a former secretary of state highlight the stakes for Kerry personally,

as well as for other Obama-era diplomats who are dismayed by what they see as Trump's

disruptive approach to diplomacy, and who view the Iran nuclear deal as a factor for

stability in the Middle East and for global nuclear nonproliferation.

The pact, which came after a marathon negotiating session in Vienna that involved Iran and six

world powers, lifted sanctions in return for Iran stopping its pursuit of nuclear weapons.

"It is unusual for a former secretary of state to engage in foreign policy like this,

as an actual diplomat and quasi-negotiator," said Michael O'Hanlon, a foreign policy

expert at the Brookings Institution.

"Of course, former secretaries of state often remain quite engaged with foreign leaders,

as they should, but it's rarely so issue-specific, especially when they have just left office."

Kerry declined to be interviewed for this story.

The quiet lobbying campaign — by him and others — is being conducted below the radar

because he and his allies believe a high-profile defense of the deal by prominent Democrats

would only backfire and provoke Trump, making it more likely the president would pull the

United States

out

of

the Deal.

The Democrat Party media showed their true colors when they invited Michelle Wolf, a

mean-spirited, angry liberal woman to their White House Correspondent's dinner to make

their fellow journalists laugh…

Wolf's first attack was on Vice President Mike Pence and his defense of the unborn baby.

Wolf suggested that abortion is something people should try, and then made a joke about

how you've got to really "knock" that baby out of there.

(That's funny?)

It wasn't her attack on Pence or her disgusting remarks about abortion that had social media

blowing up, it was her disgusting treatment of the only two conservative females in Trump's

administration who bravely attended the White House Correspondent's Dinner.

First, she wished that a tree would land on White House Communications Director Kellyanne

Conway:

"You guys gotta stop putting Kellyanne Conway on your shows.

All she does is lie.

If you don't give her a platform, she has nowhere to lie.

It's like that old saying, "If a tree falls in the woods, how do we get Kellyann

under that tree?

I'm not suggesting she gets hurt, just stuck.'"

Wolf saved some of her nastiest material, however, for White House Press Secretary,

Sarah Sanders, who was seated next to her at the podium:

"And of course, we have Sarah Huckabee-Sanders.

We are graced with Sarah's presence tonight.

I have to say, I'm a little starstruck, I loved you as "Aunt Lydia" in "The

Handmade's Tale." (laughter from the crowd) Mike Pence, if you haven't seen it, you

would love it.

I actually really like Sarah.

I think she's really resourceful.

Like she burns facts, and then she uses that ash to create a perfect smokey eye.

Like maybe she's born with it.

Maybe it's lies.

It's probably lies.

I'm never really sure what to call Sarah Huckabee-Sanders?

Is it Sarah-Sanders?

Is it Sarah-Huckabee Sanders?

Is it cousin Huckabee?

Is it Aunti Huckabee-Sanders?

Like, what's Uncle Tom, but for white women who disappoint other white women?

Oh, I know, 'Aunt Coulter'."

Surprisingly, some of the most biased journalists in the business expressed their disgust in

Michelle Wolf's "comedy act".

Andrea Mitchell, who burns incense at the altar of Hillary Clinton, stunned everyone

when she demanded an apology to White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders from Wolf.

Of course, it wouldn't be Andrea Mitchell if she didn't find a way to compare the

treatment Sanders received to poor treatment the Clinton's received at some point in

their political careers.

However, it was fellow comedienne, Roseanne Barr, with

a more successful career than Wolfe's to teach this other allegedly funny woman a lesson.

What Barr knows and lives by to be accepted in this cut-throat career, is three rules

which she lives by, which Wolfe broke.

As such, she — hopefully — destroyed her career and will join the depths of other defamed

female comedians who were grossly unfunny.

"Legendary female comedian, Roseanne Barr pointed out how liberals use women to attack

and bully women, suggesting that the liberal press condoned Wolf's embarrassing bullying

of Sanders and Conway in front of a captive audience of liberal wolves," 100% Fed Up

reported.

"Barr tweeted: 'they use women to attack and bully women.'"

"Johnny Argent used a great analogy about last nights vulgar comedian and the liberal

journalists who clapped for her," 100% Percent Fed Up added.

Barr then delivers her wisdom on Wolfe who missed the boat on how to win in comedy.

Show comedian fell flat on her face, only humiliating herself, while attempting to do

so to White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee

Sanders.

It is no surprise that the Republican victims left the party with grace.

The insults that Wolf tried to tear them down with

are now acting in their favor and they now have more supporters

than ever.

It's also equally unsurprising that a liberal would resort to name calling and personal

attacks to make a point in a desperate attempt to feel relevant and impressive.

Wolfe only proved herself to be a person who can't communicate facts or valuable insight.

She had to take cheap shots at President Trump's staff instead, practically begging to be heard.

Luckily Trump has many of his own supporters like Roseanne who won't let these "A-List"

celebs take over America.

It's always refreshing when a celebrity isn't afraid

to stand up for the president since it's pretty

much an act of bravery to

do so in her industry.

Lonzo Ball, was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers and is currently playing in his first

year with them.

LaVar Ball has been the voice of the family, he is known for his obnoxious rants, and his

claims of being able to beat legendary baller Micheal Jordan in one on one.

However, larger than life LaVar has found himself in hot water.

According to TMZ, The Better Business Bureau has awarded Big Baller Brand with an F rating.

TMZ goes on to write, "The BBB is warning consumers about BBB — the Better Business

Bureau tells TMZ Sports the Big Baller Brand is a disaster … and has earned the lowest

possible rating, an F.

Ever since LaVar Ball launched the apparel company, the BBB has been inundated with complaints

from customers who either didn't get their orders … or got the wrong items.

If you're into keeping stats — how's this: Big Baller has 41 negative reviews and

ZERO positive … with 33 formal complaints on file.

FYI, the Better Business Bureau is a 105-year-old non-profit organization that monitors businesses

across the country to help protect consumers.

The BBB reached out to Big Baller Brand twice to help resolve their issues — but no one

at Big Baller ever called them back.

Bureau Central CA, tells TMZ Sports consumers should be very careful when considering making

a Big Baller purchase."

But LaVar's problems didn't end there, he is now being sued by the apparel company.

According to totalprosports.com, "All those hats, shirts, and other high-priced apparel

sold by Big Baller Brand that is screen-printed and embroidered were done by the Chino company

Closet Collection, and they are not happy because they have not been paid.

Now comes a lawsuit.

"In a breach of contract lawsuit filed in San Bernardino County Superior Court, attorneys

for Closet Collection allege that Big Baller Brand owes the company almost $25,000.

"When it came time to make payments, they kind of bailed," a Closet Collection representative

told The Times on Monday on the condition his name not be used because of the ongoing

legal proceedings.

"We tried for about three months.

They said they would make payment about seven times.

They just kept pushing it back and kept pushing it back."

The lawsuit, filed in November, had not previously been reported.

Big Baller Brand representatives didn't respond to a request for comment.

The Closet Collection representative estimated the company provided about 2,500 pieces of

merchandise to Big Baller Brand last May.

"Basically their entire website was produced by us," the representative said.

The civil complaint noted that Closet Collection also provided storage and brand management

for Big Baller Brand."

Looks like Big Baller Brand has some Big Baller Problems."

A New York Times writer, Jason Zengerle wrote a hit piece on Devin Nunes (CA-R).

The article instead, was spoiled with errors and falsehoods about Nunes.

Nunes exacted his revenge in the best way possible!

By simply, having the TRUTH on his side!

New York Times prints a false hit piece on Devin Nunes.

Sometimes people should refrain from "bragging" rights.

And so it was with Jason.

He could not wait to tweet about his article that the failing New York Times rushed in

to print.

The only problem was, no-one vetted it.

A lot like former Obama administration failed attempt to vet the salacious and unverified

"dossier".

Jason Zengerle tweets:

"My latest for the @NYTmag on Devin Nunes, who's been propagating (and/or falling for)

conspiracy theories since before the Deep State was even in a gleam in Donald Trump's

eye."

First, Zengerle claims that Devin, House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) Chairman

had recused himself!

Zengerle paints a picture of Nunes as a conspiracy theorist.

However, Nunes has the truth on his side.

Watch as Nunes destroys Jason's claim!

Second, Zengerle claims Nunes took a trip that he never took!

As reported by Mollie Hemingway of The Federalist:

"Zengerle falsely claims, for instance, that Nunes jetted off for a two-week trip

to Djibouti.

"Never been there," says Nunes.

But he points out the implication that such a trip would be foolish is also false, given

that Djibouti is a critical location where the Chinese just a built a base, is becoming

a gateway to Africa for some nations, and is near the entrance to the Red Sea."
