USA news on Youtube Jan 5 2018

- I am Julian, co-founder and CMO

of TurismoCity.

TurismoCity is the largest travel meta search

from Latin America.

We are basically in Argentina,

growing a lot each month.

It's our third time here.

We love to come to Phocuswright

to meet new companies, to meet

all the companies that

we love to meet them again,

to see the new trends, so

we will be here every year.

- [Interviewer] So tell me, your background

is not in travel, it's not the vertical

in which you started.

Tell me, what made you move into travel?

- Well, we saw that in Argentina,

a lot of people was traveling far away,

so the average tickets of flights were high,

and we decided to create this price comparison

meta search.

I was an entrepreneur in the daily deals business,

so it's similar.

That's the reason.

- [Interviewer] And tell me about the South

American market; are there many meta search there?

Any of the big players there?

'Cause obviously it's more Spanish-language,

Portuguese-language.

- Well, now

Kayak and Skyscanner are

growing in Latin American,

in South America, but our brand,

mostly in Argentina, is very big.

We are investing a lot in the brand

in the marketing of flying,

so people use Skyscanner and Kayak

but TurismoCity is much bigger at this moment

in Argentina.

In other countries, in Brazil,

there is another local meta search

called Voopter that is same like us.

It's local, people also use the local meta search.

And I think it's something that happens

all over the world, that the local meta search

is more used than the international ones.

- [Interviewer] So apart from Phocuswright

being good for networking and being fun,

some specifics, why come specifically,

as in, are you here to develop more product,

to build partnerships, why exactly do you come?

- [Julian] In our case, we come for all the

little things, perhaps we make a deal,

a small deal, a big deal.

I remember the first year we came,

we met the

people of Click Trips that we didn't know.

Since then, we are working together

and in a few days,

the relation was so big, the deal, that

it was worth to come here.

In two weeks from the day of, the first day,

that type of deals with OTS, with other

competitors like that, and to listen.

- [Interviewer] Excellent, well, thanks for your time.

- [Julian] Thanks to you.

Why does water go stale overnight? - Duration: 1:32.

Smart Learning for All

Why does water go stale overnight?

Because you left it alone overnight.

No.

In water purification plants, chlorine is added to water.

Chlorine kills microorganisms in water, thus keeping it clean and safe to drink.

This chlorine gives our drinking water a slightly different taste.

However, if we keep the water open for a long time or overnight, the chlorine will dissipate into air.

As a result, the taste of water alters.

Also, water is a universal solvent.

It can dissolve almost anything.

Hence, if we keep water open for quite a long time, the atmospheric carbon dioxide gets dissolved in it.

This results in the formation of mild carbonic acid.

What?

Acid is formed in water?

Indeed.

However, it is not harmful.

But the presence of carbonic acid.

Slightly lowers the pH of water making it slightly acidic and thus, unpleasant to taste.
