Hello my name is Osamu Murata
I just received the new palette from USA
I bought it from a net shop named Cheap Joe's Art Stuff
The package design is kind of good
There is the invoice
I payed by PayPal
Jan. 23 I ordered it It took around 1 week
The price is $48.89
And the Shipping cost is $30.47
I am anxious to see if it is broken
it looks no problem
Porcelain palette
plastic cover for keeping wet
This smaller size fits me
Let's compare to my old palette
The old palette is made by Holbein
I'm using Winsor & Newton at the right side and Holbein at the left side I usually only half of the wells
The worst point of the Holbein palette is rusting at the corners
The Porcelain pallet is not going to become rust So I ordered it
There are another aluminum palettes by Holbein,
but it is too lightweight
I have been using this for 15 years
Let's try painting!
I'm going to put Winsor red
It looks quite good
When I use a plastic palette, It repeled the pigments.
so I want to know if it repels pigments or not
I'm sure the porcelain palette doesn't repel the pigments
Mixing feeling… quite good
I will check another palette
Sakura Kurepasu Palette
It costs only 5 dollar
For the beginner the price is important
It says it will not repel the pigments
For outside painting this is good
Although this is a plastic one
it is not repelling!!
Good! Made in Japan!
Now I will check the Holbein old palette
The lots of colors have stained the mixing area
As it is very old, 15 years old, I think like this
But it doesn't matter
Before I check this Sakura palette,
I thought it would repel the pigments
But not
The wight is important for me
Stability
When I use the brush
I don't like the moving of the palette
Weight is important
I always keep pigments after the paintings
Because I may use the colors again to correct small area
If I clean up perfectly just after finished the work
It is quite difficult to correct it
I have to make the same color at the time
So I have been keeping the pigments in my palette usually
That is the reason for the rusting, I think
After using for a while, If I notice something, I will inform.
Thank you for watching.
See you again!
