hi this is trip retired guy usa.com well I guess I better take my dark glasses
off it seems kind of rude to be talking to you with them on anyhow though I had
my blood test today it's just kind of a part of my routine annual physical but
there's a little a little more concern about it this time because for the last
few months I've had my Bloods my sodium has been too low well I always thought
it was good to have low sodium of course you don't want to have it too high
that's the main problem Americans I have too many salty foods and put too much
salt on everything and too many processed foods so so for many years I
just took I would just talk against salt every chance I got and I wouldn't put
any on my food at all hardly ever I was careful about processed foods and
anything that's and I told told everybody in my family anything that's
in a package or a can it's gonna have sodium in it for preservation nearly
everything does so Americans get plenty of sodium but I'm surprised from my
physician told me that if your sodium is even just a little bit too low just two
or three points below the range that it can be it can cause horrible things you
go to the hospital maybe have like a stroke or fainting spills on trellis or
Ellis or whatever I don't know and the hypertension specialists the kidney
specialist he sent me to told me the same thing so I was in water water
restriction for a while there like I for maybe a couple months I had only like
maybe a couple of pints a day which is really not that much a pint or two a day
but now I'm allowed to have like 40 or 45 ounces and I don't follow exactly and
I'm sure I go over that somewhat but I unconscious other than I do
I don't shrink as much water as I used to that's best to help to to build the
sodium up some and the last blood test I was
better but anyway um I came to my my favorite fast-food place the place I
used to go to once a month whenever I was working I would allow myself one
time a month to go and get a bacon biscuit and a and a small whatever the
smallest cheapest drink was that they had like and I'd get a coke like a
senior coke or whatever I only went there once a month people eat out too
much for breakfast and they spend too much money and they eat unhealthy but
for me I just allowed myself once a month that I would go to this to my this
great place and get my arm my bacon biscuit and my senior coat if and I'd go
in there I'd see the same people sitting over in the corner every time the same
retired people you know I have to think to myself well I sure am glad that I
have that I'm working and have something to do but you know it's okay for them
it's okay if you're in your little group when you're retired or you know if
you're not socialization and is good for you it's good for your psychology or
supposedly live longer by feeling more connected to people so that's that's
alright go out and and I have your little get-together you'd have to get
something to eat all the time or you just don't you just need to exercise
some some caution about it about the food that you eat and also the expense
of it so anyway I came here came out this morning after a my after my blood
test you know you're supposed to or a lot of blood tests you're supposed to
fast before it so I skipped my breakfast which is usually cereal at home and I
look forward to to having on my little biscuit my bacon biscuit and my my
little small drink so I'm waiting to see the results of my blood test I'll check
online later and see what they are hopefully that my said him be okay and
everything else will be okay and by the way to two people who are still working
or especially younger people people go online and they make videos and they put
all their personal information out there if I was
you and still working or hoping to get work I would be talking about my medical
conditions it doesn't matter to me so much because I'm already retired and I
probably don't think I'll work again although I've been looking around the
last couple of years and but really I mean I'm I'm 67 this is probably the the
end of it for me so just be careful about what information you put out there
online about your about your arm your your physical condition and health and
so on that you wouldn't want an employer to to reject you because of that so
anyway now this is trip and I'll chat with you later bye-bye
