Seigo: So much food!
Oha-konbanwa!
It's Seigo & Bren!
(Distracted by the passerby)
We are in Tennessee,
and we are about to go eat for Filipino food!
I can't wait! It's been a while!
We used to come here a lot!
It's cheap and delicious!
We finally came back!
Let's go!
(There is also a store inside)
Seigo: They have food for sale
(Chef-dad is always interested in new items!)
Seigo: The menu changes everyday!
It's always different!
Seigo: Are those rice noodles?
Bren: Yeah, they always have that!
Seigo: There's the sausage you like!
Bren: They have okra too!
Bren: So much!
Seigo: They really pile it on!
Seigo: What's that? Soup?
Bren: Potato
Seigo: Looks good!
Seigo: This too?
Bren: I got these two.
Seigo: Okra and
Bren: They are both soupy things!
Seigo: Okra and
Bren: There is meat in this too
Seigo: And potatoes!
How much was this?
5 bucks?
(5.99)
Bren: About that!
That's cheap! 5 dollars!
Rice,
a huge helping of noodles,
and rice,
and,
this sausage that has a little bit of sweetness to it!
You can choose 2 or 3 items (Plus rice)
SO great!
Is that goya?
Goya! Or bitter melon in English!
Bitter melon
Dad got some soup
He said it's sour.
Seigo: It's sour?
Bren: He said it's sour soup.
Delicious!
I'm eating these noodles first!
This is so good!
There is beef and potatoes
Seigo: We couldn't finish it!
We are taking it home!
That too
Seigo: That too
Seigo: But I finished mine!
Seigo: IS the coconut juice good?
Yeah! There are pieces of coconut inside.
(We bought some desert to go.)
What did you think of the Filipino restaurant?
Who are you asking?
The audience!
It was good!
Didn't it look good?
It had been so long since we had Filipino food!
I can't even describe the flavors!
Not that I ever can...
I wouldn't say that it's like Japanese food.
Not quite.
Yeah, not really
But it's so good!
The sausage is sweet and delicious!
And the rice noodles...
You really love that, don't you?!
I really do!
I could eat that forever!
If you can find a Filipino restaurant where you live,
I think there probably
I'm sure there are some in Japan!
And the taste probably doesn't change just because it's in America or Japan.
Go try it!
