>There is literal political chaos in the world
today.
And here to attempt to clarify for
us a little bit of what's behind all the political
chaos is Bill Koenig. Bill, welcome to Prophecy Watchers!
>>Thank you Gary, great to be with you. >Bill has been a White House
correspondent for 18 years. I'm
sure he's got a lot that he could talk about and we're going to talk about some of it today.
He's the director of Koenig World Watch Daily,
puts out a monthly newsletter and we're going to tell you how you can get
connected along those lines. But first Bill
let's just open by talking about the political chaos
that I think everybody knows about today if they've got
access to any kind of communications device. The first thing you
see is, what in the world is going on? >>Well Gary that's
a great way of putting it. For the last almost two years
in January we've had a president that has been under
constant attack on this alleged
Russian collusion and it's been disruptive,
and we have a political party right now that wants to do everything they
can to remove President Trump from office.
His approval rating is still very high with Republicans. It's
85-88% still approve his
activity, 93% of women approve his effort, and it's
around 85% of men approve the job that he's doing.
And it has not been easy. It's been one challenge after
another, and granted at times he says things that further complicate
things but unfortunately Gary we have a house that
is preparing subpoenas, beefing up their legal staff,
and 2019 is going to be a very disruptive year politically.
>You know almost from election night to the present we've had this
kind of chaos but this has been complicated by the
Russian question. We've got Vladimir Putin over there who just thinks that
he's got everything in his hands. He's almost ready to step forth and control the
world, has a wonderful new weapon that he's talking about these days,
he calls it unstoppable. In Europe we have
political chaos. Everywhere you look Bill we have
chaos that seems to be tied together in some way that's very difficult to understand.
>>Well that's exactly right Gary. We're watchmen, you and I are
day in and day out watching activities. We watch patterns,
we watch people's behavior. We follow
10 or 15 world leaders that pretty much determine the direction
--political direction of the world that we live in and obviously
Putin is right there at the top along with President Trump,
the Crown Prince Salman in Saudi Arabia,
Erdogan with the Turks, Khomeini in Iran,
Xi in China, and you watch these
Macron and Merkel in Europe, France and Germany,
this is just a period of
great unrest. This is a very disruptive period of time.
The One World Order is being disrupt by President Trump
and also look at Israel in the Middle East, what's taking place there and
the pressure the Trump administration's going to put on Iran with sanctions
and then Syria. These are things we'll cover in your program
today Gary but we're living in a very
very disruptive period of time and only the God of Israel knows
how his 2019's going to play out. >Amen. And since you mentioned
Israel let's start there because there's political chaos in
Israel as well. Now our president has pulled out of Syria
or is pulling out of Syria. At home Benjamin Netanyahu
seems to be in some political hot water. How do we
put all this together in an understandable way? >>Netanyahu's a
very savvy, experienced politician.
He underhand the system in Israel which is very difficult. It's a
parliamentary system and you have to have your coalitions in order to
stay in office. So obviously Gary Netanyahu
has some alleged legal problems,
the well-known Harvard Professor Dershowitz says they don't really have anything right
now that would be--that he felt
would put Netanyahu at risk, although there's an effort on the
left in Israel to disrupt him, to see him serve
time and so obviously has legal problems too.
But Israel is in a very important time Gary. AS you know
they have a major threat on its northern border with Iran and Syria
and even having Russia inside of SYria
is bringing in alignment of these final-day nations spoken of in Ezekiel 38 and
39, Russia, Turkey, Iran. It's coming together quickly.
So once again the God of Israel is in
control and it will certainly be interesting to see how these unravel and
unfold in Israel politically in the year ahead. >You know
I
talked with you in the past about Ezekiel 38 and I think every one of
us who is at all interested in Bible prophecy
understands that all the key players are mentioned in Ezekiel 38
and the context is of the latter days
and an invasion of Israel. It's just pure and simple, you cannot
misread it. And at head of the list is the man
himself, he's called Gog, everybody's
been trying to guess his real name. We sort of have a current
candidate for Gog who thinks he's going to control the world. He's a very confident man, I'm
speaking of Vladimir Putin. >>Without a doubt Gary. He's extremely
influential. He's very smart,
he's a KGB former spymaster,
he's the one that believed that the greatest political crisis in the history
of that region Russia, Soviet Union, was the collapse of the Soviet Union.
He has nuclear weapons,
which makes him extremely formidable. The hypersonic
weapon that you just mentioned is very close to getting put in place.
They have a lot of very smart engineers,
nuclear signs et cetera, that are putting things in place.
He's uncomfortable with the United States missile defense system in
Poland. His counter is to put
missiles in Venezuela, possibly Cuba.
So no doubt about it Putin's making a move in the Middle East,
he's got ships that dock at Syria,
he basically saved Assad from being
thrown out of office or, taken
out of office a few years back. He is moving
into positions of inflouence throughout the Middle East. The
computer whizzes and the social network geniuses there
in Russia right now are appealing to the
young Muslims, Sunni-Muslims
in countries throughout the Middle East throughout social networks using Arabic
and obviously his relationship
with Crown Prince Salman
in Saudi Arabia was publicly displayed recently at a G20 meeting
recently he just told the world to leave him alone, to quit picking
on him, to paraphrase. So Putin
is taking a final-day role for his country,
and for that very important component to the Gog-Magog
war. >I'd like for you to help me
understand, and that is Russian collusion.
Russian collusion was, well it's all we've heard for
two years. And so we have that part of
the Russian puzzle and then the opposition of course is Putin himself.
Very cocky, very confident these days. How do you
put that together? >>Well what's interesting
and I think an important thing that you and I've talked about before Gary
is President Donald Trump has
a very significant prophetic role
He's obviously involved in a lot of different areas
of life in America and around the world.
But for us that study Bible prophecy closely, we see the
fact that he has a very significant role. Number one, for taking
on Iran, number two the fact that
through his/United States' sanctions
Russia, Turkey, and Iran are all
under United States sanctions
which makes politics and life and those nations more difficult.
President Trump's hard line in the
Middle East even the moving of the Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem
had a role in bringing Erdogan and Putin
and Rouhani, the president of Iran together for
numerous meetings in 2018. So the bottom line
here is President Trump by his
strong positions in the Middle East and his relationships with the Sunni
Arabs and Israel to stand up against Iran
is accelerating final-day events. A lot of people
looked at Isaiah 45, King Cyrus
our 45th president is President Trump.
So I continue to watch with excitement and
amazement and awe of the significance of
the presidency of President Donald J. Trump. >It is
almost a God-ordained thing. >>Exactly.
>In other words what's happening seems not to be
an accident >>Absolutely. >but rather pieces falling into place.
Men who have been very very confident about themselves and
about their positions in Washington and other places in the
world suddenly find themselves facing a man who is unpredictable, basically
not a politician, business man. He's coming in and
stirring up the waters with a big paddle, and it's almost
amusing in a way if it weren't such a tragic thing. >>Yeah there's no doubt about
it, he is unpredictable. And some people,
very successful business people are unpredictable
and that's why they've made fortunes in the business world that they've operated in.
Trump is a deal guy, he's a deal maker. A friend of mine from
one of the Arab newspapers told me , he said 'Bill I never thought I'd see
the day that the Arab leaders really like Trump'.
Even love him! They like his strength, they like the fact
that he has told us in a meeting in Riyadh, told
55 Muslim leaders in
May 2017 that
he would stand with them and that they would go against--
that he would support them if they put down their weapons. If they didn't
they would become an enemy of the United States. He's a strong
leader, he has committed a lot of money to the MIddle East,
committed to a comprehensive peace plan which will
be interesting. It's called the deal of the century, but that
was supposedly going to be given some time in 2019. But the bottom line here Gary
is President Trump
obviously has a very significant final-day role
in some ways, only God knows the timing, by His
decisions and actions and activities in the Middle East in
2019 could further accelerate final-day events
to a rapid pace. We don't know the pace but we know it's
continues to build by the alignment of the nations that are important in Ezekiel 38-39.
>And we're talking with Bill Koenig, White House correspondent

And what an exciting time to be watching,
and also I use the perspective that I have from being here in Washington D.C.
being at the White House, being at other places here in
Washington D.C., think-tank meetings, to give people an inside perspective
of what's taking place. It's going to have a very
significant biblical prophetic role at this time even going into
the new year. >Thanks a lot for that, and by the way if you want to really
have close insight into what's going
on from the biblical perspective. You need
to read what Bill is writing because Bill is a Bible-believing
Christian, he's a student of Bible prophecy, and he's located
at the right place to report on
events that are happening right now that are incredibly significant. Let's talk
about one of those, and we hear
the word 'collusion' so much these days, I want to
talk about Russia and China. I want to talk about Russia colluding with the
Arabs, I want to talk about the whole
business of Vladimir Putin believing that he can just
sort of take over the world. When you listen to him Bill, he sounds as
though he's very confident. >>Well he's confident Gary
for one major reason, is Russia is a nuclear
power. And they also are
developing some very advanced weapons, space weapons
and other advanced weapons that put our ships at
risk, put our satellites at risk, even some of their
very sophisticated hackers operate out of
Russia. There's some very very smart people
in Russia that are computer hackers. The other thing is that
I know a gentleman who works with the highest level of U.S. corporations
told me a couple years ago that Russia
has penetrated our power grid.
He said China has also but Russia
for the possibility of nefarious purposes, where China is more
interested in stealing technology. But nonetheless for Russia to
be able to have an effect on our power grid
and obviously we're aware of this and we're doing what we can to further
defend our power grid. But when you have those kind of weapons, nuclear
weapons, new advanced weapons where you
have the best of the world's computer hackers--some of the best in the world--
and a relationship right now with the United States
that's difficult and tenuous and the fact that
your country Russia and some of the top leaders of Russia have been sanctioned
does not set real well for a very decent
relationship along the lines with the fact that everybody--
not everybody but most people here politically in Washington D.C. are
well aware of Russia's attempt at influencing
previous elections, future elections, and also being harmful
to our country. Not only here in the United States
but our interest in Israel, the Middle East. >You know it makes my blood run
cold hearing you talk about power grids and Putin
and the Chinese President Xi, both claiming
that they have access to the control of our power grid, that's
astounding. >>It is. It is, Gary. I think
we have what, four, five grids in our system. >Yes.
>>And there's four others, absolutely. We've heard ominous stories
over the years of an EMP attack on our
power grid that would put us back to the early 1900's, horse and
buggy stage. So this is pretty serious stuff,
and that's why we need to take it serious, that's why we need to reinforce the
power grid that we've had former CIA people and military people have said for the last
ten years, we need to reinforce our power grid to protect
us against an EMP attack or other sources of manipulation.
>But are we doing that? >>President Trump is looking into
that, I don't know if they've accomplished anything, I understand it's
5-7 billion dollars, that's nothing compared to some of the major expenditures
that we have here in our country. At this point I know they're looking into it
Gary, I don't think it's happened at this point. I'm not positive but
I don't believe so. >You and I Bill have talked at great length
about the emotional, psychological state,
the spiritual state of our country.
right now. And I want you to speak from the
perspective of a man who circulates among the leaders of the
world and among the reporters of the world. Talking
about the things that are going on right now. You look at the
world spiritually, biblically. >>Right. >And you're
standing in a place where you can see what's happening. Report for us if you will
where are we at this point? >>Well my number one concern
is the Christian, Gary, is what's
happened to our country immorally.
I mean this immoral collapse,
collapse of morality this immorality that we're seeing
on a daily basis. We have a political party,
one of our political parties is obsessed with same-sex
marriage, the LGBT agenda, abortion,
allowing illegal immigration
and more. And they will fight every
way they can whether it's a conservative candidate
that goes through senate hearings like we saw with Kavanaugh
and what we saw with other appointees of
President Trump, there is a battle between good
and evil in our country
and it's a distinctive battle. That's one of my greatest concerns
Gary is this battle. And we have a majority of our media,
85-90% of our media that is in lock step with this
political party to force this agenda
on America and it started--it accelerated with the Obama administration.
>Bill I'm looking at the third chapter
of 2 Timothy in my Bible, well-known words.
"This know also that in the last days perilous times shall
come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves", and then from
that platform we go on to a list of about twenty things
that--20 character faults that men will have in the latter
days. And it seems to me we're seeing all 20 of them right now
plus some that are probably not even named. And we
watch this and we wonder, will something come along
that's gonna set us straight? And you and I both know
that the only thing that could do that would be a revival.
Talk to somebody out there right now who may not be a Christian, or who may be a Christian
but has sort of walked away form the church.
>>Well Gary the signs are all about us. We are living
in the final days. That scripture there that you mentioned and many others
speak of as in the days of Noah
that we will have an implosion
of morality, that Isaiah 5:20
speaks of when good is considered evil and evil is considered good.
We are living in this time and it's one of the most
divisive things in our country is this agenda,
this LGBT agenda. Also the hate speech
thing, whether it's against LGBT
or whether it's against Islam. They are attempting to get rid
of our freedom of speech
because they consider speaking against these two agendas
is considered hate speech.
So we hear about revival Gary, we've heard about it for many times
but I've said this for at least 15 years, if we have a revival
in America it won't be a feel-good revival it will be
a revival when our country is shaken to the very core.
It was close in 9/11 with those terror events,
70% of Americans were depressed by what happened on that day
on 9/11 in New York City and Washington D.C., And
it could be another event of that magnitude, something
that shakes us from confidence in ourselves.
WE have this attitude that oh, it's going to work out, things
always do. And especially those that don't have a biblical worldview that
we do. They have a view that, oh things will work out, they always do.
Well one day the God of Israel is
going to lift His restraining hand off America
and we could have some very difficult and challenging times
and that these would be catalysts or impotence
to leading to a former revival when people begin to believe
that hey, there is a God, we'd better get our lives right
and this is an opportunity for us as Christians to show them
that their only hope is salvation through giving their
life and surrendering their lives to Jesus Christ.
>You know I as you have, over the years I've talked to people about where in the
world is America in Bible prophecy? You just don't seem to see America in
Bible prophecy, and cynics have said
well maybe it's because America is destroyed at some point and becomes
less important and that's why you don't see America in Bible prophecy.
Perhaps America becomes a minor part of some world consortium
with powers, we don't know. But what we
do know is that there's a very firm viewpoint in the
Bible that things are going to come apart rather rapidly in the
last days. >>Without a doubt Gary. And what's really interesting to me
is we are a small percentage of
the church that understands the biblical significance
of the state of Israel and also the fact that
the Bible says there will be final-day
judgment. 65-70% of the church today is in
replacement theology churches, believing that the church has been replaced
--that the church has replaced Israel and there's no biblical significance to Israel today.
And he fact that despite there's 27% of our
Bible's bible prophecy, that it's considered allegorical
and not literal. >Right. >>So this
error, we know God's timeclock
is Jerusalem and the state of Israel. A
prophetic timeclock pointing to His return. We also know that there will be
a period of judgment. A couple of years ago I was interviewed by a "Washington Post"
author, I was on the front page of the newspaper that I spoke
about times and difficulties and judgment, and I
received phone calls and texts and emails saying how
dare you say that God's going to judge the planet?
And I said, well that's what my Bible says. And so Gary
a long way to answer that is the fact that we fully
understand based on the Scripture that
God will eventually judge the nations of the world for its sin.

>>I don't know Gary the
specifics. I think if you and I wrote them down right now, here in the beginning
of 2019 and attempted to take a guess I don't
think we would be even close because the severity
and the significance of all these and other things that
are in play. We see the obvious but sometimes
in many times God works in the unobvious.
Something comes out of nowhere! >Right. >>I think we're moving into that kind of critical stage
Gary, that's unpredictable but at the same time
as watchmen you and I are watching with great interest
and great expectation that 2019 is going to be a very serious, serious year.
> I think Bill would be quick to tell you as I am going to right now
if you haven't read you Bible from the prophetic point of
view, begin doing that because things are happening fast.
Bill Koenig, it's really good to have you with us today. >>Thank you Gary.
