Steeda S550 Mustang Billet Aluminum Vertical Links - Duration: 2:51.

Hi everybody Brian from Steeda.com here today to speak to you about our

Billet Vertical Links for the S550 Mustang.

Let's begin with the purpose of the Vertical Links. On the independent rear

suspension of the S550 Mustang. These link the lower control arm to the wheel

carrier. They're mounted vertically and thus the name and the idea is to reduce

the wheel from wanting to carry forward. It sounds kind of crazy but that's the

easiest way to visualize exactly what's happening is you accelerate hard or if

you're coming out of a corner hard and the idea here is to keep the geometry of

the rear suspension in line under hard acceleration or hard cornering. In our

other videos, we've talked a lot about how to reduce wheel hop. We have another

great product for you that has two different options to suit your driving

needs. Let's begin with the version of our vertical link they recommend for our

drag racing enthusiasts. We put this one with Delrin Bushings that means zero

deflection, immediate responsiveness great 60 foot times and improved grip

because there's reduced wheel hop. And for our corner Carver's out there, we

offer a Polyurethane version. This utilizes a specific durometer that's a

great balance between responsiveness. So under hard cornering and hard

acceleration and under threshold braking the vertical links will keep the rear

suspension geometry in check. The flip side to this is as you're going through

the corners you're not going to be fighting the cart continually trying to

catch the back of it, because you know that you want the front of the car to

come out of the corner before the back does. Both options for vertical links are

constructed of CNC Billet Aluminum. This is important for a couple of reasons.

It's lighter than the factory units and much stronger than our competitors that

use welded ends which are subject to cracking over time. Furthermore we've

designed our vertical links to pivot at the bushings. This is important because

as your suspension moves up and down it can do so freely.

Unlike the factory vertical links which will bind and cause an artificial spring

rate. Also our vertical links have a lifetime warranty. We manufacture these

in the USA at our Valdosta Georgia facility because Speed Matters! If you

have any questions or comments please post below.

Career Forward Alabama | Percy Haley, Machinist - Duration: 1:00.

after that's finished you deburr your current part that you just pulled off...

My name is Percy Haley. I am a machinist. What I do with this job is machine work. That involves

me taking raw material and creating it into something else.

A typical day for me is this load part up, run it, hit start,

check it, get it checked by quality and after quality checks it, continue production.

My path to this job started in high school at "Tech" at the

Madison County Career Technical Center. I started off with my teacher who taught me basic

machining programming. Currently, seven years later, I run more complex machining

I have programming experience and machining experience. I actually enjoy what I do.

For me, this is something I can see myself doing as a career, not as a job.

USF COPH: PHIAM Gun Violence—This is Our Lane - Duration: 1:52.

Hi, I'm Caitlin Carr. I'm a master's student at the University of South

Florida College of Public Health and I'm pleased to bring you another segment of

our Public Health in a Minute series. As you know with the public health in a

minute series we are interviewing leaders in the community and academia to

learn more about what they're passionate about and what they advocate for.

Today we're pleased to talk to Dr. Karen Lillie. She's the director of the

activist lab and a professor in the College of Public Health.

What I'm passionate about and what I'm advocating for is the prevention of gun violence

injuries and deaths in the United States and throughout the world. Each year in

the United States there are 38 thousand or more firearm deaths and for children

adolescents and young adults there are over 3,000 deaths. The loss of these

lives harms all of us in society. Preventing gun injuries and deaths will

take many different approaches and involves several stakeholders. We need

common sense gun laws and we need to take a more holistic approach to this

issue involving gun owners and non gun owners alike. We need to advocate for

more gun violence research so that we know as much about this issue as we do

motor vehicle injuries and deaths. These have declined greatly over the years

through many public health efforts. Gun violence - oh it's in our lane. It's

clearly in public health's lane and we need to stay in this lane so we are a major

part of the solution. Thank you Dr. Liller. That was great. I hope you stayed with us.

It only took a minute. Please stay tuned for another segment of public health in

a minute and remember: Find your voice. Join the activist lab.
