This is a celebration video.
I just wanted to say thank you guys for 100,000 subscribers, I just can't believe it.
Thank you guys because you have been so supportive of my masterclass videos,
my exercise videos,
and also my private lesson videos.
So thank you guys so much, thank you from me and also from my students for your support.
What can I do do celebrate 100,000 of you guys?
So one of the things that a lot of people have been writing to me all the time was
«Cheryl, why don't you do a reaction video?»
«All the other vocal coaches do reaction videos!»
But the truth is, I HATE reaction videos.
Because a lot of people that do reaction videos for the most part are not vocal coaches.
Because being a vocal coach does not mean standing in front of a camera going

These kids ain't no vocal coaches yall, they just say it, they just watch Glee that's all.
But today, to say thank you, I will be doing my first reaction video for all of you!

I'm going to be reacting to THE VOICE BEST BLIND AUDITIONS IN HISTORY
So let's go, let's see how it goes.
Mmm. Timber all day long baby.
See that's the thing that I love about a singer, is from the first note you can hear the talent,
the richness, the resonance, already she's letting us hear a register change, I love that!
Already in the first 10 seconds you can already hear she's got technique,
the control of her voice is amazing.
Hear that vibrato?
You bettah sing baby.
My favorite version of course is Nina Simone, but I love the way she's making it more modern,
more gospel, less blues... You bettah sang little Mama!
I love the way she's working with these registers.
We've heard at least 3 registers and I love it.
So jazzy, so modern, a lot of vocal control.
It seems like she's out of control, but she's completely in control of her voice.
I love it, just a great sostenuto. She knows she nailed it.
Go little Mama. I'm rooting for you too!
Who's this little guy?
He looks like he ought to be on some romantic comedy.
I don't like this little guy.
He looks like he ought to be working in a bank somewhere.

Yeah, that's crazy just a little high note makes all the difference,
but I'm still not impressed.

Yeah, I know this guy. I saw him on TV once.
That is a guy right?
They're like two folk singers in a row on this.
Yeah, he's like the lady boy.
Cute hat tho.
I'm not crazy about the voice.
I'm not crazy about the voice at all.
But he's so cute. You really can't tell if it's a boy or a girl.
Yeah, you shouldn't have turned around, that was mercy.
He just being nice.
The thing I don't like about this singer is that his eyes are so cold.
It's like no expression in his eyes. Cold as ice!
His voice is a little bit exaggerated, just all timber, a lot of growling going on.
It's the kind of singer that can do like one song but I would not want to go to one of
his concerts because you really are a one note samba.
A little guitar boy but nothing else.
I mean, it's interesting but it's the kind of stuff that gets boring really fast.
Now a guy that I love is James Bay, that's like my favorite boy.
That's a singing boy! Now that boy can sing.
If this guy is trying to be another James Bay you got a long way to go.
Cuz you ain't no James Bay baby.
But good luck!
I like the beat!
No, I'm not that impressed either.
Yeah, it's a lot of stuff going on.
Phrasing is really horrible, breathing is very bad.
She's what we would call a SCREAMER.
I get tired of screaming very fast.
Not to say that I don't like a little bit of screaming
with a little bit of "stank on it".

Alright, he's just a little too Terence Trent D'Arby to be singing James Brown.
The voice is definitley too light but I like the way he makes that twist and makes it more modern.
Cristina is having a good time, he's got a nice little growl on it.

I love it because the judges are not impressed, they're trying to look like they are impressed,
but I'm not impressed, so I know that you are not impressed.
Yeah, the voice is too light to be singing this kind of deep soul, black music.
He has a voice that is more RnB, not so soul, which is different.
But he's got the moves.
Come on, yeah!

A lot of great vocal control.
I love when singers have enough vocal technique where you can sing and dance at the same time.
A lot of singers cannot do that.
As soon as you start dancing you lose support, you lose the appoggio, you lose the diaphragm.
But this guy is a cutie pie.
Timber is okay, but still I don't know if I want to hear a concert.
One song is okay, but I don't know if people would listen to his concert for two hours.
Great pitch.
