Hey what's going on guys.
So I'm going reviewing the Access Product of the Year Award Winner of 2018.
The Pinnacle SL300 by Harmar.
In my opinion this is the best entry stairlift in the entire world!
That's why we have it displayed on our show room floor.
I'm going show you some of the highlights right now.
So when you fold this up, it has a very skinny profile.
Harmar is saying about 11 inches from here to here.
That's Phenomenal!
If you have to move furniture up and down the stairs or if people have to go in and
out.
They will have plenty of clearance.
The staircase we have on our showroom floor is 32 inches.
A standard staircase is 36 inches.
We have the mechanical folding rail on this.
No power and no lifting on your end which is phenomenal.
I'm 6'2 and as soon as sit down, I notice a big difference immediately compared to the
competitors.
The size of the foot plate is very big and it's not made out of cheap plastic.
It's made from solid metal.
It's enough to hold my entire feet nice and squarely.
On the other competitors my feet go off the edges.
We get asked frequently on other models if we have bigger foot plates.
That has been an ongoing problem all along.
The other thing you are going to notice is this toggle switch.
Most manufacturers have a press button that you have to hold pressed in with one of your
fingers and you have to hold it there.
The biggest problem with that is if you have Arthritis, you can't hold the button in for
long periods of time.
It's painful to do.
But on the toggle switch, I can use the palm of my hand to hold it down, to hold it up,
and it is very light pressure to hold it up.
I can go down just the opposite way.
There is no lubrication and it's very low maintenance.
One of the biggest issues with the metal gear racks is the oil dripping on the carpet and
the wood.
The fact that a service call needs to be done once a year to lubricate the track and everything.
It has a safety plate so if your foot gets caught in the staircase, it's going to stop
the stairlift without crushing your foot.
The stairlift won't start again until you move the obstruction away.
As you can see the mechanical folding rail needs no power, it automatically flips up.
You don't need to stop, pause, and restart again like other brands.
When there are more working pieces and electrical components like other brands, you can run
into many more problems.
With this just being mechanical, it goes with gravity as the chair moves up or down.
Just like other stairlifts at the very top, you have swivels here on the right and left.
Just swivel over pressing down.
Nice and easy with no problems what so ever.
It has a 300 pound weight capacity.
It runs on 2 (12 volt) batteries.
The difference with this stairlift compared with the competitors, you're going to get
40 plus cycles on a power failure.
Other competitors advertise around the 10 cycle range.
40 cycles means you could be without power for a very long time and still be able to
operate the stairlift in your house.
I can't tell you how many calls I get where somebody's power goes out and in a day they
are calling us saying there stairlift is completely dead and they end up paying a very expensive
service call.
It requires us to go out there and replace the batteries.
One of the unique features on this that I'm going show you is it's polymer track system
with the worm drive.
There is no metal gears, this is all polymer.
It runs on a 6 point of contact drive system.
That's going to create a very stable stairlift on the way up and on the way down.
The other great thing is not only is the polymer super strong but if one of these were to break,
it's very easy to replace the parts.
You unscrew this and these slide out.
There's no issues what so ever.
I will give you guys a closer look.
This is a low friction design so it's going to use less power (Save you $$$$ on electricity!)and
so efficient that is the reason it can give you the 40 plus cycles on a power failure.
It's simple, easy to use, it comes with 2 remote controls.
It's one of the smoothest stairlifts as you can see.
You can see other reviews on other stairlifts and compare but I've never seen one as smooth
as that in my opinion.
We work with other brands too.
I can tell you for under $3000, this is the best entry stairlift in the entire world.
You can't go wrong.
With the installs we have had so far, absolutely no issues what so ever.
Let's get another closer look.
As you can see, look at the room and how compact this is.
The warranty on this is 2 years on parts, 10 years on the worm gears, and 1 year on
the batteries, plus our Footit 1 year service contract if going through us.
The best question you can ask a potential stairlift mobility company is, How much are
you going charge when that service contract ends? Our flat rate local calls is only $95
for 2019.
Other companies may charge $250 just to show up at your door.
You guys should be able to get this right around the $3000 range if not under.
I highly recommend it and if you're in the Western, Massachusetts area, we have it here
in our showroom.
Feel free to come in and try it out.
