Robert Muller's rigged witch-hunt is moving into the endgame the special counsel has just
one more piece of the puzzle he needs to collect before he
turns in his report to Congress but mother's world has turned upside down because of this
one sentence mother's office and president Trump's legal team have
been in negotiations for months about the scope of a possible interview
between the special counsels office and Donald Trump the president has repeatedly stated
he would like to tell his side of the story but Trump's lawyers
and many of his supporters have cautioned against this move they see the
special counsels office as inherently biased and running a rigged witch-hunt against the
president Trump's lawyers and supporters fear the only reason Muller
wants to interview the president is to set a perjury trap if Donald Trump
misremembered who is in a meeting or what was said Muller can fabricate a charge of
lying to investigators and claim Congress now has grounds to impeach
the president but there appears to be a breakthrough in negotiations
Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani met with reporters outside a campaign event in New Hampshire
Giuliani revealed that ten days ago the president's legal team submitted an offer to Muller's
office to limit the scope of an interview on obstruction of justice
maybe a lot of hope it's gonna happen but we're still negotiating we
haven't stopped negotiating with him the most recent letter they sent us a proposal we responded
to their proposal they took about ten days and yesterday we
got a letter back from them and now we're in the process of responding in
the same press gaggle Giuliani dropped the hammer on Muller the president's lawyer stated
it was time to put up or shut up for the special counsel we believe
that the investigation should be brought to a close we think there at the
end of it they should render their report put up I mean I guess through a playing poker
we're not we can put up a shut up what do you got Giuliana's competence
comes from the fact that he stated he knows the president committed
no wrongdoing and that the whole investigation is a joke have every reason to believe if
they don't have anything the president do anything wrong they
have lots of stuff that goes up this alley and at last we were chasing
all these things about Cohen the week before that we found out that the investigation was
begun by a guy who was a scoundrel struck struck the week before
that the harvest report cast doubt on the legitimacy of the both
the Clinton investigation and in particular this one because although in the Clinton investigation
Horowitz found there was no that they were that they were
biased but it didn't show the effects of bias in this investigation he
reserved judgment so that's still being investigated whether the people who started this investigation
had such a severe bias that pressure is mounting on the
special counsel to wrap up his investigation counting from when the FBI
began the controversial counterintelligence investigation into possible Trump Russia collusion
federal investigators have spent two years digging
for any evidence of a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the
Kremlin to steal the 2016 presidential election and the federal government's most dogged and
rapidly anti-trump investigators have not turned up a shred of
proof of collusion Muller has also demonstrated by virtue of his indictment
of 25 Russian national for various election meddling related crimes that he has no problem
with filing PR indictments to give his investigation the
appearance of progress but both indictments plainly stated no Americans
knowingly interacted with Russian intelligence are aided in the conspiracy to hack emails
from the Democrat National Committee and Clinton campaign chairman
John Podesta if Muller even could present a fig leaf of a case to
indict a trump official on a charge of conspiracy to defraud the United States he undoubtedly
already would have done so Trump's lawyers are correct Muller doesn't
get to run an open-ended fishing expedition into the President of the United
States but critics believe Muller is afraid to show his cards because he
