~12 Days of Christmas~ Day #3 | Sugarplum Fairy Eye shadow Tutorial - Duration: 15:02.

hello my Butterflies, Jen here and welcome back to BlindlyHonestly and if

you are new hello and welcome and I really hope you enjoy today's video as

well and before I get started I'm going to ask you guys to do me a huge

favor please hit that like button and subscribe if you haven't already and

Go ahead and share this video out, so your friends can watch it as well!

So with that being said let's go ahead and jump into today's tutorial

So this is Day three of the twelve days of Christmas we will start back up again on Monday

you get three videos a week for this for the next month and then after that I

think I'm gonna jump down to about one or two a week.

So for today's tutorial, I am going to be jumping up back into the James Charles pallet...

So we are going to be using these colors right (Bottom right corner of purples/pinks) here but I'm also going to be using this

one as well (Shimmery baby blue)

so first and foremost we're going to prep the eyes and like last

time I'm gonna be using my P.Louise base and this is rumor 0.5

okay so we're going to do something a little bit different this time than what we did last time and we

are going to take this overly large fluffy brush this is the R40 from

morphe so we are going to pick up "Canvas" which is this nude shade right here and

we're just going to set the P. Louise, now normally I will not set my

P.Louise base but I am doing so just to kind of help these color blend a bit.

we have our tape on, Ooooh.....

Okay so we are going to start with a darker shade and

that is "Escape" and this is this dark purple right here.

we're going to take this flat brush this is from of The Vintage,

This was also a item inside of a Boxycharm a few months ago

so we're going to take that "Escape" shade and we're gonna pack

it on right here but don't blend it out yet just pack it on nice and thick

we're just going to stick on our lower lid while we pack this on

so now we're going to take a blending brush this is R34 by Morphe

and we're going to pick up two different shades, we are going to pick up "Love That"

and "Single" and we're going to take both of these shades together....

blend that into "Escape", so we're going to take it, blend it into "Escape" and then

blend up in to about a third of the way into the crease

And just keep blending....

It is going to get a good amount of blending to get these three colors blended together, So....

and if you want it to be a little bit darker you can always

pop back in to "Escape", tap it off, and blend that into these colors.

These colors blend so beautifully I'm in love

so now we are going to take a flat brush that is a

little bit fluffy this one is from a storybook cosmetics and as you can see

it does have a very flat tip but it's still pretty fluffy so we are going to

jump in "Skip", which is the most controversial color on this palette so

we just want to get the tip and then we're going to stamp it onto our eyes

and if it is easier for you when doing this

take a mirror,

hold it down,

tilt your head and look down while you're

stamping

so that you for sure get

your crease where you want it to go...

and don't do what I just did don't blend it in tap it...

just like that tap

so now taking another blending brush don't use the same one

So I'm going to use R39 this one is stained blue but I'm going to use R39

and I'm going to jump back into "Single" which is this one right here

Very very little you do not need a whole lot on the brush and then you're just going to

blend it in to "Skip"

and then also blend what you've already done and to "Skip"

As well, so it's all cohesive and we're just gonna do back and forth lending you

don't need to do circles for blending with this just back and forth

now it is kind of coming together so we're gonna do a little bit of circular

and start from the bottom outer corner of your eye and blend it up so

that way we can try to kind of get that dark "Escape" up into the inner corner so

as you can see it has like a really nice gradient and to the lighter so we're

going to do the same thing on this side all right so now we're going to cut our

crease and for that we're going to use P.Louse,

Taking a flatliner brush this is from... This is R43 from Morphe,

I'm just going to get a little bit of the P.Louie on it

okay so you need a dense shadow brush this is R42 from Morphe, and we're gonna

kind of blend two unconventional colors together if that makes sense so we're

going to take this pink right here this is "Pinkity-Drinkity" and we're going to

pack this on where we cut our crease be careful not to blend your brush back and

forth or you'll mess up your line

okay remember I said unconventional colors so

we are going to take this color this is "Hello" and we're just gonna take a little

bit of it not a whole lot just barely tap your brush in there

And then mix that on top

this will all make sense soon I promise

okay so now I'm going to take some glitter

and this is from pinky rose which I do have not heard of pinky

rose you're missing out this is an amazing brand so pinky Rose has a bunch

of these glitter wands these are my favorite glitter for the lids you use

them on your lips your lids whatever mood you're in because you put it on you

don't even need glitter glue so you can just Pat it on and then it dries less

than a minute yeah so this is a shade cotton candy

It is like a really pretty blue pink purple glitter so we're going to take this and

right where we cut our crease we're going to apply this

do be warned to make

sure when you put this on you put it on in a dabbing motion and not a sweep

because it doe take off the shadow

and we need that color base underneath so you

can apply it one layer and then let it sit for a minute so it dries we're gonna

go ahead and do our other eye

so once it's dry I'm going to do another layer

now take your finger you

don't need a brush to take your finger dip back in to "Escape"

and just kind of blend that right here into the glitter

and take a clean blending brush this is

R38 gently blend it into the glitter

cuz it ain't going nowhere and if you're not happy with how thick the glitter is

go ahead and apply more then it looks really really good if you kind of sweep

some on to the whole lid just so it's a bit more coercive or

cohesive

a little bit of glitter everywhere well I'm gonna go ahead and

do my foundation and then I will come back and finish off of this look because

we are not done yet but I have a few things that it's just easier done once

you have foundation on so so I will be right back

okay so kind of weird alright I am not wearing false lashes

In the picture I posted on Instagram last night I do have false lashes on because I did that look

last night we recorded it today I tested out the Kush mascara from milk makeup

and I've never really had luck with this is mascara, but you know I decided to try it again....

after talking to King J and NeonMUA on Twitter last night, I was like "You know what I'm at

gonna try it again." So I did the bra or the mascara in bra trick to get it nice and

warm so While I was doing my makeup this whole time I've had my mascara sitting in my

bra getting nice and warm and toasty

I am honestly so freakin in love with

how my lashes look right now like I'm hoping as you can see what I'm talking

about they look so full and like dark and beautiful it is kind of messy down

here but just like I love how they look like

I have never really had a mascara

do that you know what I mean so I'm not gonna do falsies today...

I know, we are stepping

away from the falsies again and if you are curious this lipstick I am wearing

is from Anastasia Beverly Hills and this is sugar plum

liquid lipstick it's very glittery I love it

okay so for the finishing touches

So, We are going back into James Charles palette I am taking this

blending brush from Ecotools

and we are going to pick up "Escape: again

and this is going to get blended underneath the eyes

And then now we're also going to dip in to "Love That"

and "Skip" again

and we'll do a little basic blend down here

this eye is just not cooperating now

I don't know what happpened, it was behaving so well earlier

the secret to making shadow behave is a damp beauty blender.

So now we're gonna do inner corner pop

and we are going to take a

kind of like flayed blending brush this is from the gemstone collection from

Morphe we're going to pop in to

"Hello"

and we're just going to pop into there literally and then right into your inner

corner

alright guys so that is it that is the finished look I really hope you guys

enjoyed this Sugar Plum Fairy look and it's only fitting that I used sugar plum

by Anastasia Beverly Hills because it's like the perfect lipstick for this look

yeah I really love this look I love the little inner corner pop I love love love

the big round trip #12 | Was kostet eine Verschiffung über Island nach Kanada/ Amerika? - Duration: 28:47.

What does it actually cost to ship a car from Europe to America over Iceland?

Today there is no video with beautiful landscape pictures, but some informations.

Here from my little studio in Michigan, USA.

The winter came here already, it started snowing and it's pretty cold outside!

So as you can see I have some delay with my videos.

The reason is, that I mostly travel alone

and it's always a lot of work to shoot and edit these videos

and also to upload them, I always have to find a good internet connection!

But about traveling alone I want to make another separate video another day.

I think that could also be an exciting topic.

But today it's about how and why I brought my car from Germany to America over Iceland.

So if you take a look at the globe

or if you draw a line on a map directly from Europe to America,

then Iceland is pretty far away from it.

But since our earth is a sphere,

it makes more sense to go this way.

And for instance if you book a flight form Germany to New York or Canada,

then you fly pretty close to Iceland, if not over Iceland.

So I asked myself, why not having a stopover there.

And also since I bought this car, I always wanted to go to Iceland with it, one day!

May it be on this trip or later.

Because it's just the best car for Iceland!

You have probably seen it in the last videos,

you can go to the highlands and therefore you need a proper 4x4 car.

And therefor a Defender is pretty useful.

So I knew I would come to Iceland one day,

why not on this trip?

How does a car shipping from Iceland to Kanada work?

Most of you would probably ship from somewhere in Europe, like Hamburg or Rotterdam to America or Canada.

And it's probably the easiest way with the agency Seabridge Tours.

They offer a whole package with insurance in America or guided tours.

So I think this is pretty easy and fast.

They also have the advantage, that they usually ship with a roll on roll off ship,

That's a transport ship, that has a ramp like a ferry,

with that you can also transport bigger vehicles.

As far as I know, that's not possible from Iceland.

You can only ship inside a shipping container.

The Defender just fits into a shipping container.

For your information, my Esmeralda is 2.49m high and 1.93m wide.

And the door of a high cube container is 2.58m high and 2.33m wide.

So it just fits.

There is these high cube containers, that are a little higher than the standard containers.

My car wouldn't fit into a normal container.

But the Defender still fits into a standard container, without the roof rack and the boxes on top.

So I probably could have shipped in a normal container, if I had taken off the boxes on the roof

and would have put them into the car or beside the car in the container.

But since they had this high cube container, it was pretty easy for me to keep the boxes on the roof.

And when I built the car, I took care of it that the car fits into such a container.

Then there is also containers with different length.

There is the shorter version 20ft long, where a single Defender fits pretty well.

And then there is the 40ft container.

My shipping company used a 40ft container,

which wasn't necessary, but I didn't choose that.

I also know, if people travel in a group with two cars,

they like to share one container,

which works very well, because two Defender fit into a 40ft container.

Probably is was a bit more expensive, because they used a 40ft container

and much space wasn't used.

But I'm traveling alone ...

And the communication with the shipping company did not work very well, but I will tell you more about it later.

So I asked many different contractors, like shipping companies and agencies,

which might ship a car from Iceland to America.

But they mostly declined my request or didn't answer.

One agent told me: "I will send you a quote!"

And then I got a quote from him, but that was from Rotterdam to Montevideo or something like that.

So something totally different. And he answered:

"Oh sorry, I sent you the wrong quote, for another customer, but I will send you the right one!"

I never got one!

So it's not so easy!

I only found one shipping company that offers to ship goods from Iceland to America.

That's the Icelandic shipping company Eimskip.

When you take a look at the website of Eimskip you can see the green line.

They have different shipping lines and the green starts in Reykjavik ,

then it goes ne Newfoundland and then Halifax in Canada and after that Portland (Maine), USA.

So I chose Eimskip of course.

But to get to Iceland first, there is an easy ferry connection from Denmark with the Smyrilline

or however you say it.

That's a ferry that starts in Hirtshals in the north of Denmark and goes to the Faroe Islands first.

I can only recommend to have this little stopover, when you go to Iceland by ferry, at least if you have the time.

The ferry has different schedules, sometimes it only goes to the Faroe Islands and then back again

and on the next trip it starts in Denmark, goes to the Faroe Islands and then to Iceland.

So you can have an easy three day stopover, but also longer if you want to.

So you can also see the Faroe Islands on your trip.

That was absolutely worth it and doesn't cost anything more.

So it's the same if you have this stopover or not, so why not?!

So to go on with the shipping from Iceland to America I used Eimskip as I said.

And the communication with the shipping company was a bit difficult from time to time.

I did not have one person to talk to, it always changes from one person to another.

I always got different quotes by other people.

Sometimes they didn't even answer my questions.

Sometimes I sent them several questions, like:

Are there any additional costs at my destination port?

Like the customs inspection of 140 CAD that I had to pay.

Or the duration of the shipping, how long will it take?

How can I select an appointment, how often does the vessel go there...?

So bring time and be patient!

I was lucky that I have friends in Iceland, who speak Icelandic and already worked with the company.

So maybe it was a bit easier for me.

Maybe it's more complicated for a private person, because they prefer to work with the big companies.

But it worked anyway.

So for your information, because now I know it:

The ship goes there once a week, every Wednesday,

they start in Reykjavik on Wednesday, go to Canada, first Newfoundland, then Halifax

and from there to Portland (Maine), USA.

But they want you to drop off the car at least on the Friday before they ship.

So that they have enough time for the customs in Iceland, to load it into the container.

As you could see in the last video, I was a little late for that.

I used so much time with cleaning up my car and packing my stuff,

so that I was too late on that Friday.

And they close the harbor at 4pm on the Friday and the weekends are closed.

So I called them on Monday, to ask if I could come there spontaneously

and they said yes. So I went there to drop off the car.

But in the end they shipped it one week later, but that wasn't a problem.

Before you drop off the car, you have to clean it from the inside and outside.

And I think Esmeralda has never been that clean before.

And you are not allowed to ship any dangerous goods of course.

So you are allowed to have gas stoves in the car, but no gas cartridges.

That all has to be out of the car.

Every item in the car is not insured, as far as I know.

So you are allowed to keep items in the car, I think there was no limit,

but you have an insurance from Eimskip for the vehicle, but not for the items inside.

Of course I took all expensive goods with me, in the airplane.

But in the end there was nothing missing or damaged.

And usually it is very safe to ship a car in a container, instead of using a roll on roll off ship,

because in that kind of ship somebody could break into your car,

which will probably not happen with a locked container.

The journey time of the ship takes about a week.

As I said it starts on a Wednesday and arrived maybe the next Wednesday evening,

but on the Thursday they unloaded it in Halifax.

As I said, before it goes to Newfoundland.

And as you will see in the next videos, I went back on my trip later on to Newfoundland.

So I should have shipped directly to Newfoundland.

I didn't really know and other people told me how beautiful Newfoundland actually is.

So I took the ferry back again on my trip.

And I could have saved time and money, by taking the car off the ship in Newfoundland already.

But hindsight is easier than foresight.

But that's the reason why I make this video for you now, so that you know better.

So think about, if you ship your car from Iceland, to get the car off the ship in Newfoundland already.

From there there is a normal ferry, which doesn't cost too much.

There is actually two ferries, one starts close to St. John's

and the other one in Port aux Basques.

That one from Port aux Basques to Sydney in Nova Scotia, not in Australia,

costs about 100€ as far as I remember, and the journey takes about eight hours.

So that's ok I think.

If you ship the car from the European mainland, like from Germany,

you need a disinfection of the underground as far as I know.

Because the Americas fear that you could bring diseases like the foot-and-mouth disease or avian flu or whatever.

That doesn't seem to be the case, if you ship from Iceland.

At least they didn't ask me about it.

Because you get a certificate for the disinfection at the harbor in Europe, for the Canadian or American customs.

As I said, doesn't seem to be necessary from Iceland.

But nevertheless you have to wash the car.

And my car had to go through a customs inspection,

where they also checked if there is lots of dirt and soil under the car,

where could be hidden pathogenic organism.

You have to pay the customs inspection on your own.

But you don't pay these costs at the customs directly.

They put down the costs to the shipping companies account and they invoiced it to me.

But it was not the Eimskip office in Reykjavik, but that one in Canada.

So I had to pay about 140 CAD, which is about 93€.

They like to have the payment as a bank transfer. A Canadian bank account would be the best,

but of course I didn't have that.

And international bank transfer is not so easy, it usually takes a while,

you have to pay fees and never really know how much money gets through to the receiver.

So this wasn't an option.

But I found another way to do the payment.

The bank, which was the Bank Of Montreal, has several offices, also in Halifax.

So I went there and did the payment as a cash deposit.

So first I had to withdraw 140 CAD cash with my credit card and could pay it onto the shipping companies account.

You also have to write a list for the customs, with every personal item, which is in the car.

Eimskip told me that, after I went to Canada and not before.

It would have been great to writ the list in Iceland already or at home.

So I had to remember everything.

Because as soon as the car is shipped, you don't get access to the car anymore.

So you don't have access to it, when the car is in the harbor in Canada and you are not allowed to enter the harbor.

And you can't see the customs inspection, so write the list before!

So if you want to ship your car, better make a list already with all the items in the car.

Better already at home!

They want to have the amount of every item ant what it's worth.

I'm not sure if it has to be the purchase value or market value.

But in my case I prepared the list and took it to the customs office

and didn't have to show it to them. So they didn't ask me for the list.

And I was actually happy about it, because the list was definitely not complete.

So as soon as the inspection was completed and I showed my paper work at the customs office, I got a stamp from them.

You get such an arrival notice from Eimskip via email.

You have to print that, when you are in Canada.

Then I got a stamp onto it in the customs office,

so that I could take a picture of it and send it to the shipping company as a proof that the car has cleared customs.

Then they could deliver it to me.

What you also have to carry to the customs office is your passport of course

and the registration document of your car.

There is also the international registration, that I also have with me. It's valid for a year, so has already expired soon

but nobody asked me for that so far.

But it's not bad to have it with you.

And I also had the insurance papers about my car insurance for North America with me, but nobody asked for that.

Maybe also important to know is that you have to take my car with you, as soon as you leave the country.

So I couldn't have left without the car.

I'm not sure if they noted this in my passport, because they don't put stamps into the passport anymore, at least in Canada.

That's all made electronically,

so you also cannot see how long you can stay in Canada, but you can check that online.

When you take a flight to Canada, you have to register online, like when you go to the USA

and then you can check you data online.

I think you can stay until six months in Canada without a special visa and I didn't want to stay that long anyway,

because winter was coming and is already here actually.

You don't pick up your car at the harbor and as I said, you are not allowed to enter the harbor.

So the shipping company instructed another transport company, which was the LCL warehouse in Dartmouth.

They transported the container with a truck to their warehouse.

Dartmouth belongs to Halifax, as far as I know, but it's not close to the harbor, but on the other side of the bay.

So a bit far away.

So I had to go there by bus and could pick up my car there, after the whole customs procedure.

What do you need for driving in Canada?

The car can be registered in Germany, you don't have to register in the Canada or the USA.

But you cannot sign it off either, because you nee the registration document.

As I said there is also the international registration document, but nobody ever asked for that.

And the drivers license of course. There is also the international drivers license,

which is just a translation of the German document into all kinds of languages.

So far I didn't have to show my drivers license, but one day I think I have to.

What you also need is a liability insurance for your car,

because your German insurance will not be valid here.

And it was not very easy to get it.

Many of the formal insurance companies don't insure any foreign drivers with foreign cars anymore.

They say it is somehow connected to the new EU data protection regulation, but I don't know how.

But it seems like there is only one insurance agency that still offers insurance

for foreign drivers and car in Canada and the USA.

And that is the thuminsurance.

You can also get the insurance via Seabridge,

that might be a bit easier, especially for those who don't speak English.

But you can also contact them directly.

And it was actually very easy.

I had to shoot some photos of the car and send them

and give them all kinds of data, like with every insurance company.

Then I did the payment, it actually went all pretty fast and I got my proof on insurance online,

which I could print and now I have insurance here.

The costs for a half year and my car are 1,628 USD.

Or a full year is also possible, for 2,643 USD.

The insurance is valid for the USA, Canada and Mexico,

but for Mexico you have to buy a special insurance policy

I don't know about the costs yet, but I will have to take care of that too.

Every driver, that should drive the car, has to be registered in the insurance contract.

So you have to know before who will drive the car and cannot let anybody drive your car in America.

But what does a shipping cost to America over Iceland?

I ordered a quote from Seabridge to compare, for a shipping from Hamburg to Halifax.

Here are the costs for the freight 1,575 €

+ harbor fee of 165 CAD, which is about 110 €

and a fee for a transport company in Canada of 65 CAD, which is about 43 €

But then you also have to travel from Germany to Halifax in Canada, so you have to take a flight

and I think the costs should be about 800 €, if you don't find a very cheap one

So that we have about 2,528 € in total.

But how much is the container shipping via Iceland?

Therefore you have to get to Iceland first, by the ferry from Denmark.

It costs for one person in a shared cabin in the high season with food on board in my case 1,057 €.

And then we have the costs for the shipping from Reykjavik to Halifax in Canada of 333,501 ISK,

which is as of today 2.356 €

It was slightly cheaper in the quote, so there were some hidden additional costs.

So you have to look watch out there,

but it was almost the same costs.

And then we have the fee for the customs inspection in Halifax, about 140 CAD, approximately 43 €.

But maybe these costs have to be applied to the shipping from Germany directly as well.

Then I have to get to Halifax on my own as well, so I had to take a flight,

for which I payed 305 € + 2x 80 € book transfer fee,

because of this little chaos or because I never really knew when I can ship the car or how long it will take,

so I had to rebook my flight two time, which was 80 € each.

So we have total costs of 3,971 €.

Is it actually worth to ship via Iceland?

Definitely for me! Iceland is a great country with an extraordinary nature,

no madder if you are a fan of waterfalls, like to hike or to drive the tracks with your 4x4 car.

But let's compare again!

If you ship your car directly from Germany or Europe to Canada or in the USA, we have total costs of about 2,500 €,

but with the detour over Iceland we have something about 4,000 €.

But if you plan a trip to Iceland anyway and want to ship to America after that,

then you have to add the ferry costs about 1,000 € each way back and forth to Iceland and back to Denmark.

So the total costs of a shipping to America AFTER a trip to Iceland are about 4,500 €.

So the total cost are not that different, actually a bit cheaper through Iceland

And additional to that you can save some time, by shipping directly after the Iceland trip to America,

because you don't have to take the ferry back to Denmark and drive all the way the car to Hamburg or to Antwerp

or wherever the ship departs to America.

And time is also money.

But nevertheless it's only worth the detour over Iceland because of the much higher costs.

Otherwise it's much cheaper to ship directly from the European mainland to Canada or into the USA.

Iceland is also a very expensive country, not matter how you travel.

Accommodations are very expensive, so it the food.

The campsites had moderate costs, actually not so expensive for Iceland in my opinion.

But the facilities were not on European standards. There were sometimes only small or not enough bathrooms

and it was pretty much crowded,

because Iceland is very much crowded by the tourists.

I could also save a lot of money because I have friends in Iceland, old friends, but also new friends that I found.

So here again the keyword "traveling alone", because when you travel alone you get a lot of invitations

and as I said I will make a separate video about it, but more on that later!

I will go on to New York now,

but you will travel with me to Cape Breton again in the next video, after I've been on the Cabot Trail already,

with the rental car, in the last video.

But as I said, I wanted to go to Newfoundland then.

If you want to know, where I really am, please follow my Instagram, which I will link down below here.

And if you don't want to miss the next video, you can subscribe to my channel of course.

And when you klick the little bell, you will not miss any of my new videos.

So then thank you for being with me and I'm looking forward for the next time!

Lewis Hamilton makes email demand to Mercedes team-mates ahead of new F1 season - Duration: 8:13.

Lewis Hamilton makes email demand to Mercedes team-mates ahead of new F1 season Hamilton says he wants to become an "all-time great" but to do so he aims to nullify any cracks in performance which his rivals may look to take advantage of. The Brit won his fifth world title this season after comfortably seeing off the challenge of Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel. But he knows next year will be difficult and he wants to try and stay a step ahead of the rest of the field.

Hamilton harbours hopes of catching Michael Schumacher's record of seven Drivers' Championships - but first he has work to do. "I asked my team to send me an email from several different departments, asked them to be blunt," Hamilton revealed at a team sponsor event for Hewlett-Packard. "They don't even need to tell me who the email's from, just tell me the things [they] think I can improve on.

"If there's been a certain experience this year you felt that could be better or something I've said that's swayed the energy within the team. "Because I'm looking to be the all-time great and that means winning in all areas."  . Hamilton also explained why he feels he can continue to get better, despite being 33 years old. "I feel like I'm still not at my best," he added. "I'm just on the way there, I've still got lots of work to do.

"We've just signed for another two years so '19 and '20 are going to be interesting. "My goal is to make sure Ferrari don't win a Championship within those two years – or Red Bull." Hamilton returns to action when the Formula One season gets underway in Australia on March 17.

NEXT NEWS:Mercedes suffer "setback" with new engine concept. Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff says the team had a "setback" with its engine development ahead of the 2019 F1 season. Speaking at an event for team sponsor Hewlett-Packard, Wolff described how the team had set itself more stretching goals for 2019 based on paddock intelligence about the progress their rivals were making.  "There is a tremendous development race that is happened as we speak," said Wolff.

"Finding downforce, reducing drag and of course the engine is a very important part, adding more horsepower to the engine. "So we are setting ourselves really ambitious targets. We have actually increased the targets six weeks ago because we heard some rumours that others were doing well." Wolff said the team is still "on-slope" in terms of the rate of gains it expected to make from its development plan.

"We've had some good weeks in the wind tunnel," he said, but admitted the power unit programme hadn't gone as smoothly. "We've had a little bit of a setback on the engine side where we believed the new concept would deliver a little bit more. But these guys are very ambitious like all of us and so I'm optimistic.

"We will know when the first qualifying session gets underway in Melbourne, this is the moment where everybody shows their cards." Mercedes have swept all five constructors' championship titles since the current power unit regulations were introduced in 2014. However rivals Ferrari reduced the gap to them in 2018, which was the first season when teams were required to use just three power units for all 21 races. The same restriction remains in place for next year's championship.

NEXT NEWS:F1's new 2019 wings won't reduce 'outwashing' – Wolff. Formula 1 aerodynamicists have already found ways to recreate the 'outwashing' effect which the FIA hoped to eliminate in 2019, according to Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff.New rules for next year are intended to outlaw the complex 'outwashing' designs which has been blamed for the difficulties drivers experience when they get close to other cars.

"At the moment it's very difficult for the cars to follow," explained Wolff at an event for sponsor Hewlett Packard. "You can't come any closer, you lose downforce, the tyre loses grip and therefore the overtaking's really bad. "When you look at some of the junior classes with less aerodynamics, F2 for example, there's some great racing there actually. They are able to come close.

"So the aim was to take away a little bit of the aero. Direct the airflow not around the car – so you create a big hole behind your car, and that's bad – but over the car. "But they fight 2,000 aerodynamicists in all the teams and I think we have found solutions that we can get the air again around the car. It's not going to change an awful lot."The FIA said the research which led to the introduction of the new wings, which was approved in May, "indicated the strong likelihood of a positive impact on racing and overtaking within F1".

The change in the design of the wings was aimed at reducing the outwashing effect. In order to reduce the potential lost downforce from the change the total width of the wings has been increased from 1,800mm to 2,000mm. The FIA estimated the new front wings and other changes would increase lap times by 1.5 seconds. But Wolff believes downforce levels will remain similar next year. "The rumours you hear from the paddock is that people have been able to recuperate lots of that," he said.Early versions of the wings were tested by Force India and Williams at the Hungaroring in July. Force India's technical director Andrew Green said he expected the change would prove to be "a small step in the right direction".

NEXT NEWS:    Mercedes F1 boss Toto Wolff sustained injury to his knee during the team's post-seasons celebrations in Abu Dhabi.   The drivers and constructors champions held a party for the end of the season following the final Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi.

Wolff was speaking at an event from team sponsor Hewlett-Packard where he admitted he was using crutches after injuring his Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL)."Lots of partying and the ACL gave up in the knee," Wolff said. Hamilton's victory in Abu Dhabi was his eleventh of the season and topped off a, yet again, successful season for Mercedes in retaining the drivers championship and constructors championship for the fifth year in a row.

"One of the very famous racing drivers who was there at the party said in your body only your brain works and the rest is a wreck." The 46-year-old has had a series of injuries in the past. Such as breaking his knee cap in 2015 and fracturing his shoulder, collar bone, elbow and wrist in a cycling accident in 2014. Thank you for watching the video.
